I was told framing was to begin the day after demo and the guy never showed. I was never offered an explanation. After 2+ plus months of him not returning my calls or emails I terminated the contract. I don't have a deck yet I'm out the deposit which he refuses to refund. I highly recommend another contractor.

Even on the day they were meant to come over to give us an estimate not only did they call to tell us they would be 10 minutes late (much appreciated but honestly I wouldn't have even noticed), after walking around the house, asking some questions on exactly what we wanted to do they were able to come back with a fully detailed and printed estimate on the spot for us to review. We had gotten some quotes from other painters and none were this organized so we knew the job would be done well and efficiently (and it was). They took great care when scraping and making sure to remove ALL the paint chips (it looked like a haz mat site for a few days : ) The entire job (scraping, priming and painting) took less than a week even with a few afternoons of rain. Tyler was extremely helpful in picking out color schemes (who knew there were SO many shades of white?!) and we could not be happier with where we ended up. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

WARNING....WARNING....WARNING.... I hired Kennison…read moreConstruction LLC (Matthew Kennison) for a downstairs renovation in Stowe, VT and paid $32,500 in deposits. The project was left incomplete, with major items not finished, including windows, bathroom plumbing/rough-in, baseboard heat, interior doors, and finish work. As of the date of this review, he has failed to refund any portion of the unearned funds and now has a pending lawsuit. Work was inconsistent, with extended periods where no one was on site. Communication was even worse. There were days/weeks that went by with no communication. I provided multiple written notices and opportunities to resolve the issues, but the project was not completed. I have since had to fire this company and hire someone else to complete the project. The quality of some of the work that was completed was poor and required correction, by my new contractors. I was also threatened with a lein from a dumpster company he failed to pay. This was additional money out of my pocket. I can provide a lot more examples of my poor experience, but my advice is no matter what the estimate/cost this company provides, DO NOT HIRE! It's not worth it.

Matt agreed to Arbitration for my request for a $10k refund, and our claim was decided in my favor. Kennison owes me $10k. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY. We have since hired a new contractor, and they've had to redo just about everything. They confirmed our shower was not waterproofed, the plumbing was done incorrectly and would have failed, and the electric work was incorrect and sloppy. I'm SO GLAD I fired them when I did - they could have cost us a lot more than $10k in damages if this job finished.
