Located near the popular Colonia Americana, this long busy corridor runs through the heart of a main street in Guadalajara. The street is lined with convenience stores, restaurants, and shops.
On one of the days I was visiting, it might have been a Sunday, the streets were closed down for pedestrians. It reminded me of cicLAvia in DTLA. There were lots of people out from early morning. The community was walking, cycling, rollerblading, and jogging throughout the streets.
The area is filled with lushes plants, a few water fountains, and nicely paved walkways. There are park benches to relax and take refuge under the shade. Or quietly read a book, magazine, or newspaper.
Street vendors can be found selling souvenirs, keepsakes, and gifts. You may run into a street performer, trying to display their talents while hustling for tips. Lot's of activity to see, yet parts of the street are quiet and relaxing. Depends on the day, time, and public events going on.
