They did a document translation for me from English into Chinese - no drama, clean copy and good turnaround time. Highly recommended!

I studied here for roughly 7 months and I can't recommend Manhattan Language highly enough for…read moreserious English learners. I tried a couple other schools in Manhattan before I decide but none of their "advanced" class was advanced enough for me. (I was in the break of my collage in Boston and my English level wasn't too low) This school has a great range of levels, many activities and if you have some trouble and want to speak in your language, they have advisers in many languages too which is a good option to have. Including teachers, they are all friendly and it was comfortable enough for me to stay long. I was in the highest class all the time but I saw many low level students (who couldn't speak AT ALL) became better speakers and enjoyed their stay in NY. I as an advanced student learned a lot and improved English in many ways which I was honestly not expected much from a language school. I would like to come back anytime if there is another chance!!

I really recommend this language school. I was study there one year. First, you have many classes…read morecan choice. They have academic class, film class, business class and pronunciation . I took pronunciation for five months then transfer to academic class. Second, teachers are really nice, if you have questions just ask, don't be afraid. They are really nice. Third, school activities . Every week almost everyday has activity, you can join it then you will make new friends, also practice speaking. Last one school stuffs also really nice, if you have questions about programs ,ask them. They will give you the advice. This all my experience in Manhattan school. Enjoy your life in NYC and Manhattan school.:))

JP Linguistics is your go-to place if you're looking to master a foreign language with highly…read moreeducated, professional instructors. JP is not only professional but also super friendly, which makes it that much easier to approach him if anything. He only recommends what's best for you and makes sure you're comfortable taking the classes you're enrolled in and that you're actually learning and taking advantage of the resources, unlike some other places that just want to enroll students but fail to deliver after. JP Linguistics also offers special programs that are unlike any other I've seen. These range from fitness classes to cooking classes and wine tasting to name a few. I attended their Italian Brunch Class and absolutely loved it! Not only did I learn to cook some authentic Italian food but also pretty much mastered the Italian phrases related to food and wine. These programs are very hands-on, which is perfect for anyone looking to gain a real life experience in a specific language and culture. So, look no further because JP Linguistics is your answer to all foreign language needs!!! I couldn't recommend it more!

7 weeks (and just 7 classes) isn't a lot of time to learn a new language, but I'm surprised at how…read moremuch progress I made in such a short time. Eduardo was a fun and engaging Spanish instructor. Classes were well structured, but didn't feel overly rigid. I felt engaged the whole time. I went into this with intermediate skills in French, which definitely helped. The course is quite fast paced and covers a lot of ground. If you have no experience with a second language you'll definitely need to study harder to keep up. I used Duolingo for a month before the class and it definitely helped get me started with at least some knowledge. I wish there was a little more time for conversation and interaction between students, but I don't see how they could do it unless the class met twice a week. Overall I liked the format of the class and would recommend it!

I signed up for an in-person beginners Spanish class at the Manhattan location. It was a little…read morepricey in my opinion (plus you have to buy a separate book for the class from the store that is around $30), but I was so eager to grow in my skills I decided to sign up. I am someone who has a good base of Spanish under my belt, but for a beginners class this was very difficult. It felt very freeform/loose and I didn't feel we focused on grammar enough to speak in sentences (though we were expected to aloud in class). If you are someone who prefers structure, this is not the class for you. I attended every week until the last two courses because I felt I was not gaining anything, plus two of our classes got rescheduled due to the teacher's illness (not their fault, but I would've rathered a substitute as many of us travelled from BK for the class...) and we never received information about when they would be made up? I sort of feel like it was a waste for me The teacher was super nice and obviously very knowledgeable, but I think this class will not be a good fit for you unless it's just for a hobby or trying to memorize phrases for a vacation. It felt way too informal. If you are seriously trying to learn Spanish, I would not recommend and suggest you take your money elsewhere, though I cannot speak for my classmates or other language courses at this place
