If I could I would give a negative star for all the lies, deception and unprofessionalism…read more Mr. Weed lures you in with a free consultation. He stated he would contact the IRS in order to know how much money was owed. And he recommended bankruptcy chapter 13. Once I retained him and paid him, he went ahead and filed for it. Unfortunately, he never went and asked for history from the IRS or would not find out how much I owe the IRS since this was a long ago debt. He even knew that it might be over the period that the IRS could go after me, but he still didn't check. The trustee of the bankruptcy kept adding more and more money which meant I would owe another $20,000 plus. Also inside that balance was another $4,000 to Weed. When I asked him why there were more charges and what they were he would dismiss my questions. At this point, I felt uneasy and called the IRS myself. I found out that I did not owe anything so I asked him to dismiss the chapter 13. He then try to use a scare tactic stating that the IRS contacted them, but they did not pick up the phone call. I asked for them to send me any documentation that IRS has sent them. On that document, there was a contact information for an agent assigned to my case. I contacted her and she told me that she has been trying to reach Mr. Weed through phone call and email and he has not replied at all. So here he is lying to me stating that the IRS only contact him once when the truth was, they were contacting him for several weeks now. But at this point you can pretty much tell that all he wanted was to go through the chapter 13 so he can retain more money from me. It did not matter to him that it would add another $20,000 to the debt. It did not matter to him how it would affect my credit score. It was very unethical, unprofessional, and dishonest. Also even though I did not go through the chapter 13, it's still affecting my credit score. Worst idea ever! My recommendation is for you to call the IRS. Do not get a lawyer specially this one
