Cleaning is so poor. It has such a foul smell, mom mattress was thrown in the hallway by sisterafter she saw all the urine stains. How? Do you not use pee pads to porter the mattress. The recliner smelled of urine. I kept getting this rachet smell in her room that wouldn't go away, it's a beautiful facility. But the cleaning the room they don't use cleaning chemicals to wipe down, don't clean the bathrooms, vacuum the rooms. This urine smells havoc as soon as you start walking down the hall. Not even the fresh paint can mask the smell. The staff and patients are so accustomed. The care of the staff is there but by far this is the down fall too make a report. And here we are thinking my mom she hasn't taken a bath, because the staff isn't following through on her bath days either. She just got there on 8/26/25 read more

I can't say enough lovely things about this facility!! My mother was placed at a terrible rehab facility after breaking her leg and I was scrambling to find her a new spot to transfer. After learning the terrible rehab facility had lied to me about submitting my mother's paperwork to be transferred, Linda was beyond kind and attentive in helping me. She even spoke to the terrible facility for me on the phone and quickly got my mother transferred to Coronado. People like Linda who care and help you when you need it are very special. :) When you walk in, it feels like a hotel! The ladies at the front desk always greet you with a smile and acknowledge you with a warm welcome. Which may seem little but means a lot when you're stressed and worried about visiting your loved one. They also have a gorgeous courtyard area, library, lobby, gift shop, Chapel, dining room, activity center, rehab facility, coffee area and hair salon! My mother also had a beautiful little outdoor patio area that was inside the enclosed courtyard. The entire staff has been exceptional in caring for my mother but my mother's day to day nurse, Chantal, was a guardian angel. Every time I saw her come into my mother's room she was smiling and had a kind and positive attitude. Nursing is a tough job but seeing someone who loves their job and goes above and beyond for your loved one is all you ever want. The relief to leave at night, knowing your family member is in good hands is all my family ever wanted and Coronado gave us that with her help and the rest of the truly caring team. Linda, Chantal, Howard, Joe, Stephanie, and I know I'm missing a few others, I want to say thank you. I'm a patient at Coronado at Stone Oak. we chose it because United Health Care insurance rated it a 10? I've been here several nights. I spent 2:5 weeks at Baptist Northeast during which time I wasn't aware I was there for a couple of days. I had newly diagnosed right heart pulmonary artery hypertension. after I was in bed for so long I needed rehab. here, the first day was heavenly, nurses were wonderful, food was great, I have a private room and my husband is welcome anytime. Next day, the same aide became a sergeant. my admissions nurse remained the same person, very sweet. Food is not as good. At this point I would not rate this place a 10. maybe 6 or 7. Except for the aide and nurse, I am just starting to see a nurse I've seen before once maybe. they have mentioned being understaffed, So, I could be happier but I have nothing to compare to. I'll give them 2 stars because their clinical staff on the floor were, overall, very sweet and caring for our mom. We were referred here by Methodist Stone Oak (and on a recommendation from another healthcare provider). We should have read more reviews. Even the infectious disease doctor at Methodist told us we needed to "have a lot of family/friend presence to support our mom" while at skilled nursing. Our mother was admitted for 6 weeks of IV antibiotics and rehab as prescribed by the infectious disease physician and the hospitalist. After a lackadaisical case manager at the hospital provided minimal information regarding Coronado, we were finally transferred ~6 pm on a Thursday night. Eli, the evening nurse, was wonderful getting Mom settled. But, after that, we had no contact for over 3 hours. We were not even shown the call button (which was on the wall behind the bed where our debilitated mother could not reach - and she has dementia so may not remember anyway). We found out later that there is a Community Relations Coordinator, Linda Martinez, who was supposed to leave us a welcome package with a print out of useful information. We were told she was out of the office for 2 days and apparently no one cross-covers (nor did she leave anything in anticipation of the admission). I even called the front desk the day before admission asking what to bring/not bring and Sasha was as helpful as she could be. Much of the information we received could have easily been emailed via PDF. We also could have been told that there were 2 TV channels with Coronado information as well. We had a rough first night getting settled with staff (they are to do checks every 2 hours and I had to go looking for the CNA or nurse for my mother after 3+ hours), but after that we hit the jackpot with the weekend staff. Nurse Sanjee and CNA Stephanie (and Rosa) were wonderful and consistent caregivers. We saw them every weekend and they could truly assess Mom's progress after not seeing her during the week. Weekday nurse, Leanne, was also very good and CNA, Uzo, was an absolute sweetheart. The PT/OT staff, Nhan and Carmen, are also angels that know their craft and have wonderful bedside manners (not only with my mom but also supporting the family). They all helped my mom go from being transferred with a Hoyer lift to being able to walk with a walker. We did have to hunt down the wound care nurse and once we found him, he was very nice. They did work to make sure she did not have skin breakdown, but it took a lot of advocating from our side to make sure she was moved, turned, wound care was on board, etc. Because our mother has dementia, we knew we'd need to have a greater presence there. We had to support her physical recovery but also mediate the confusion that comes with hospitalization and skilled nursing moves. We reached out to the social worker, Arnulfo Ojeda, Ph.D., LMSW as we had several questions. He answered same day with a brief reply to have a care plan meeting. We re-confirmed the meeting by email the day before with no acknowledgement. We showed up and were informed he was out on a family emergency and would not be there. Price Miller, Executive Director, and Anne Marie Bisch, BSN, RN, Director of Nursing, did meet with us to coordinate a multi-disciplinary meeting. We appreciated that and were again referred to Arnulfo as our main point of contact. Upon a follow up email, we received no answer from him for 4 days. I even called on Day 2 and was on hold 10 minutes while they paged him, no answer. I left a message. No answer. I then emailed Price and no answer for 24 hours. I called on day 5 and left a message on Price's cell phone - he finally emailed back and basically down-played the lack or response of his administrative team. Coronado was built in 2014 but Price indicated they had no voicemail system set up. He stated they were often on the floor with patients or staff and could not answer emails (but every time I was there, I saw Arnulfo sitting in office - once I found out where his office was located). I finally went in person to Arnulfo and introduced myself and asked the questions I had. I was told by him in a curt manner, "I just need to know where she is going". No social worker warm fuzzy caring and he acted like I interrupted his day. I am Fortune 100 company trained in customer service and have worked in healthcare for nearly 25 years. I have never seen such a stand-offish administration. Again, clinically, the rehab, the nurses (to include Anne Marie and the NP Chris), the CNAs, housekeeping, dietary were wonderful with our mom and us. We did our best to support them to best assist our mom. But, we could not wait to get out of there. read more

Staff is not trained, no clue on how to reposition people with compression fractures and although I cannot prove it, our loved one left there in terrible shape, she was so much better off before entering the facility. What a horrible I state we made choosing the Coronado! The head of nursing is a joke and when we asked her about a situation, her response was to go to someone else because it wasn't her responsibility. Really? Then who do you go to when your loved one has been in the same clothes for five days and is soiled? We visited every day and stayed round the clock the first several days. Just wish we had followed out gut instincts but we thought we were doing what was in the best interest of our mother. Head social worker or whatever his title is couldn't be faker. Files strewn on his office floor, all he cared about was that insurance would cover 100% after 20 days so we didn't need to worry about anything. Sorry sir but we didn't care about the money, we cared about our mother's care. The few times we met with him he always read the wrong patients chart to us. The PT person would tell us one thing and our mother would tell us something else that she did/didn't do. Our loved one is of sound mind - why would she tell us one thing and the PT person would say another? Oh, that's right - it's a Medicare thing to only write certain things on a patients chart. Attractive facility, HORRIBLE management. The staff does the best they can with minimal support (one even told us there is no support). Yes, the surveys and health reports are average but the place is not. Highly recommend you visit and really observe what is happening there before you admit a loved one. Plenty of facilities to chose from. Please don't make the same mistake we did. They care about one thing - revenue. read more

After about 24 hours... I am not at all impressed with this facility. My family member was transferred her from a local hospital. Our family was told that the facility was capable to do all the things needed for our family member that is battling cancer and complications from Chemotherapy. That is not true. We needed a ultrasound of her bladder ... we were told it was only advised that they may need to do that and it would take 4 hours to get one ordered. We needed a air mattress as there are spots on her backside that have broken down. We were told since it was the weekend they could not get one. After being her for almost six hours no one had checked to see if she had voided. They only cam because family was her advocating for her. We had to leave at 6:00 PM because visiting hours are over. My sister called me at 9:08 PM because she said she had been calling the nurse for help and no one had come. I had to call the number 210-402-5750 to get someone to check on her. We are made to gown up wear a face shield and N-95 mask that are all provided or us, BUT THE STAFF DOES NOT WEAR THEM! Did they not see what happened in New York? It was the staff that was bringing in the Virus! read more

This is a very beautiful area, but don't be fooled. They let my husband fall out of a wheelchair and no one knew how long he had been laying on the floor, bleeding. They allowed him to get bad bed sores all over his back and he had to be sent back to the ER. The staff was just bored with the whole thing and didn't seem to care much. If you care for someone, don't send them to this nightmare of a "skilled" nursing home. read more

I wish I could post a ZERO report. I plan on dealing with them! In several cases A) I was not medicated properly - I was not given the medication I was legally prescribed B) the nurses were not responsive, but the CNA's were. THINGS WERE SO BAD, I CALLED EMS. They came out and the Coronado sent him away. I had to get a taxi and they didn't stop me, but the they tried tried to take MY wheelchair, saying I was stealing their wheelchair and that "those are expensive "! Thankfully another staff member corrected him and I was able to take my wheelchair home. THE MAJOR SITUATION IS THEY CAUSED ME PAIN BY HAVING TO PULL UP ON THE SIDE-RAIL OF THE BED I WAS AND IT CAUSED MY LOWER BACK GREAT PAIN FOR WHICH I AM NOW HOSPITALIZED! TO CLOSE, THE CORONADO IS A SOW WITH LIPSTICK ON IT!!! read more

Where to begin..... my 86 year old mother was in this facility and treated horrible. Don't let the prettiness of the outside of this facility fool u. What goes on inside is a nightmare. Physical Therapy was putting my mom in her wheelchair for hours on end. She would push the call button and sometimes wait over an hour or more for someone to change her depends. This led to a VERY bad bed sore which they did nothing about! She was FINAlLY hospitalized and had to have surgery. If I can do one thing, I would want to try and prevent this from happening to someone else's loved one. Please please please.... I would not recommend you place a loved one in any of their facilities based on my current experience at Coronado Stone Oak in San Antonio TX. I truly hope their care and concern improves and I'd gladly update my review. Slow to respond to call lights - 10 to 30 mins, inexperienced 'nurse' staff - several first day staff when I was confined, unavailable basic (blood pressure) prescriptions - 2 days before they finally filled the script after my complaints, poor dietary restrictions - I was admitted with orders to watch sodium intake and for my intake/outtakes being measured because of water retention (edema), no bariatric accommodations - rior to arrival,, I verified they could accommodate my weight and they still had no accommodations for a place to sit in my room and had to swap out the bed twice within the first 3 days of my stay. read more

BEWARE!!!! Do NOT place your loved one here. This place was awful. My 81 year old mother landed here after a hip break. Staff changed medications without my consent (she has dementia) and many other errors (HIPAA violations, ignored food allergies, did not examine 10 inch wound) and left her unbathed for 12 days). Most staff seemed to not care except for a few (PT Delia and Aide Nellie). I removed my mom at least seven days early because I feared for her health and safety. I expressed my concerns to staff administration and called corporate in Carollton Texas. Corporate officials completely stonewalled my concerns. Facility manager, Price Miller, refused to meet with me since my mom was no longer a patient. It. Was. Awful. BEWARE!!!! read more

In 2018, my 86 dad was there over a month for physical therapy after a fall resulting in a severe soft tissue contusion. It was his first stay in a skilled nursing facility, and his last. He also got pneumonia while he was there. Pretty building, that is about it. Grossly understaffed, and the staff does not know their patients. I spent time with him daily and took his clothes home to wash as I did not trust them. Food was horrible...I wonder if someone is not absconding with the meat. When he ordered a lean pork chop, he was given a greasy fried sausage with fried bell pepper and onions...for a cardiac diet! I had to take him food and snacks. The therapists were noted as not wiping down the equipment between patients, and I asked them nicely to do so, as I am an RN of over 30 years experience. I almost had to fight them to have him discharged; they were trying to go for the full 30 days of benefits they were entitled to under Medicare, he was getting about 2 sessions of 15 minute physical therapy maybe 5 times a week. He clearly did not need to be there and he was miserable. My father will never go back to this facility or any other. Thank God for Ramona. She probably quit by now;she was the ONLY saving grace of this facility. There are no decent nursing homes or skilled nursing facilities in my opinion and experience. They are all understaffed. read more

I was stuck there for two weeks because I could not use either arm. They charge $200.00 a day and wanted it in advance. Now they will not help me with insurance as they assured me that they would!! They forgot my medicine, mixed up my medicine, gave my morning med at 1:30 pm when I had to practically demand it and one nurse even signed that my medicine had been given to me even though the med tech had not! They forgot to bring me dinner and would frequently set it on my table to get cold while I waited because I could not feed myself. They also forgot to note that I needed transportation to my doctor's (after I had reminded them) and told me I would just have to find another way. I have a permanently paralyzed left arm but when I needed toileting help, the nurse chided me for not exercising it or at least trying to use my paralyzed arm! I had to wait an hour after requesting help to the bathroom and after four people lo at me and said that they would go get someone! They only washed my hair twice in two weeks and I only got 3 showers because I asked some student nurses to do it since the regular staff was just too busy!!! My daughter had to call them twice to remind them that I needed help! I FEEL VERY SORRY FOR PEOPLE IN LONG TERM CARE WHO ARE DEPENDENT AND CAN'T SPEAK UP FOR THEMSELVES!!! read more

Lovely building but terrible level of service. My dad is allowed to stay in his own pee and poo overnight despite repeated requests to check on him and help him to go to the bathroom. Unless you are pretty independent, I would not recommend this place to anyone. The nice looking building and furnishings dupe people into believing this is a good place to go. It's hard to imagine worse, though the scary thing is it probably can get much worse. What a shame this is how we treat our elderly in America, and get rich doing it. read more

Recently my grandmother had to find a rehab facility to leave Methodist to make the transition from hospital to home independently. She was recently in Cibolo Creek Rehab of Boerne and it was horrid, but that is another story. I chose Coronado because it was close to my home so I could keep an eye on her. Coronado was beautiful! Clean. The people residing there were aloud to walk the halls, go out in the garden and eat in the dining room for all meals. The rooms were large, private rooms with kitchenettes. When it was time to check my grandmother out there was a full round table meeting regarding all aspects of what she could or could not do upon returning home independently. There are many rehab facilities out there but this one by far has been the best I have dealt with so far. read more

We sent our mom to Coronado based on recommendations. During her stay, she declined physically due to lack of attention, and subsequently fell into a depression. We took her out on a Saturday and discovered the next day that she had COVID. Coronado didn't test her when she arrived, nor when they discovered they had a COVID-infected patient, nor upon her release. When she developed a cough they claimed they did a chest x-ray , but they were unable to locate it. Not surprising. By now, the family was exposed and quarantined, causing us to miss work, change airline tickets, and stress over the possibility of getting the infection. Don't let the shiny building fool you, and don't put your loved ones in Coronado. read more

My grandmother was admitted here about a week ago or so after going through the ICU, PCU and being cleared from the hospital she was sent here per her request because she was familiar with this place and had been before. I believe she was only here about 5 days and she was NOT given proper care at night and wasn't checked on like she should have been through the night. I called and spoke to the manager and I was told that vitals are TAKEN every two hours. It turns out temperature checks are not apart of vitals since they were not done while my Grandma was here. My uncle discovered my Grandma was altered and they transferred her to the hospital and discovered she had a fever of 103.7 and a UTI. I'm guessing the UTI was from her folly bags not being changed in a timely manner since they would be full when loved ones would visit her. On Friday evening Coronado said they wouldn't get her lab result until Monday. My Grandma could have gone septic from an infection if she had to lay there until Monday! Do yourself a favor and save your loved one and DO NOT send them here. There is one awesome RN (Corey is his name if I'm not mistaken). So the one star can go to him for being a GREAT RN! They state they have top of the line care to decrease the chance your loved one will be re-hospitalized but turns out she was hospitalized in less then a week cause my Uncle was the one to notice things weren't quite right. Also, if you want your loved one to have cold food, and not very much care at night send them here. Do yourself and your loved one a favor and pass on this place. read more

Unprofessional...and not from an "upitty" point of view, but from a common courtesy point of view. I read the bad reviews, and having lived in Stone Oak for the last 4 years, I understood that their reputation was poor. However, I'm always up for a challenge and I try to be the light in dark places. Having been a nurse for 12 years, the red flags were as follows: 1) heavy smell of urine. This is not from people being incontinent. It is from poor care/ poor disposal and clean up methods. 2) HR- while I completed all employment paperwork, pay amount (I had to ask her what I was filling in), and W2s at HR's desk- HR talked/ texted on the phone planning her sisters birthday party. This while the other HR lady joked that she should " make the new people buy lunch" because she "was soooo hungry." Upon completing the paperwork, I was not given any information as far as if I'm hired, where to go from there... nothing. She did direct me to go to the uniform shop to obtain some navy blue scrubs that would be deducted from my payroll. 3) Worst experience- staffing coordinator. I wanted to work 40 hours per week, with Tuesday and Thursday off for school/ clinical. I was told that couldn't be accommodated, but I could go PRN. Went to the facility to shadow a 2-10 shift and was sent home without pay due to staffing miscommunication. Prior to coming on that day, the staffing coordinator told me "I already know you're a bad nurse" because I could not make it to orientate on Monday with 30 minutes phone notice. I did apologize... twice.All four crossings I had with her were negative. Apparently being rude and arguementive is her norm. With respect to cultural sensitivity, and observing that she is probably "burnt out", I reported the matter to HR and the Nurse Manager. After that, I requested to speak only to the Nurse Manager because she was kind, informative and professional. Finally red flag #4- No job after all.After no follow up from the kind Nurse Manager, I contacted HR. She informed me that they did not need anymore PRNs and that is why I was never scheduled to orientate. The facility is beautiful, and I am thankful to the maintenance man who showed me around and educated me on fire safety. However, the other staff is in destitute need of training and no, not just the computer kind. If corporate does not intervene, this is another case of "lipstick on a pig." read more

As a nursing student this facility was very helpful in my success to getting my license LVN, so many patients won my heart. A lot of the nursing staff I've met have allowed us students to be helping hands, and allowing us to assist with what needed be. I really enjoyed being able to do my clinical rotations at this facility. It wasn't just one quarter, I was able to get two quarters out of my nursing school experience! Ramona, an RN, is absolutely amazing. And Victoria, an LVN, allowed us to follow her through her shift and provided teaching that helped us with tests! Like many of the reviews that have already mentioned, the facility itself is very nice. At first glance, the building of the Coronado is beautiful. Located in the envious Stone Oak area, it's Spanish tile roof and grand entrance way with a sculpture of horses welcoming visitors into the facility, it holds a place that is cold and riddled with, for lack of a better description, dangerous practices. After being diagnosed with brain cancer and subsequently being hospitalized for pneumonia for a few weeks, we chose to send my mother from Methodist Stone Oak to the Coronado as her doctors work from this facility. I may never forgive myself for sending her to this terrible place as I don't believe it an over exaggeration to say that the results of Coronado's short-comings has limited my mother's quality of life as a result of being there. From not being able to provide my mother with a schedule for medication delivery and physical therapy to the nurses themselves stating that the facility was lacking, it was just a terrible experience for my mom and all of our family as we watched my mother's health deteriorate. But we felt trapped there because moving her meant a stressful situation for her, and we were unsure if insurance (which is just another headache) would allow for this move. From mishandled medicine (either not giving her medicine at all or giving her medication that was for wakefulness at 9am and 5pm (why would you give someone a medication to keep them awake at 5pm?) even though it was prescribed to be given at breakfast at lunch) to sloppy scheduling (often the PT team would come in prior to her needed medications or even breakfast), everyday at the facility was a struggle. And what's worse? My mother had a 24/7 advocate. We begged and pleaded for them to please help her; to please to their jobs appropriately. But we were met with deaf ears to our pleas. Sure, they would "say" that they would figure it out, but even on the last weekend we were there, I walked in to see my mother on Saturday around 11am and she still hadn't received her 8am mediation....This was after several meetings with supervisors and directors to ask them to please make sure she received her medication. Please make sure she was rotated (as the facility gave her bedsores even after we pointed them out that they were forming). All were met with false promised and empty words. On one of the last evenings, we spoke with a CNA that I had not previously met. She commented on her bedsores (everyone did, but no one wanted to be responsible for keeping her rotated). We said, we know. We try to keep her moved. We push the help light to get people in here, but it was typically not answered for 30 minutes or more, so we're doing the best we can. To which this CNA replied, "You know, y'all could move her yourselves." So here is this "professional" person telling us that if we want appropriate care we'd have to do it ourselves. And what if she fell when we were moving her? Would this facility be liable? Or would they say it was our fault because we didn't know what we were doing? So I asked, "What about the people that don't have advocates here? What about the people who's families don't have the luxury to be here 24/7? What do you do for them? Do they just sit in their own feces? Do they just get ignored?" (I'm paraphrasing). She said (paraphrasing), "Unfortunately, sometimes they do get overlooked. The number of people in this facility that said, basically, "There's no hope. Just take her home and put her on hospice" breaks my heart. I know she's my mother and not their's, but isn't there a sense in these people that they want to help people get better....not just give up on them. I'm happy to say that we moved her to a new facility and she's doing much better. They're following a schedule, they give medication on time, and she's been thriving. She alert and talking again. No, she's not running marathons. She's not 100% back to herself, but she's not plagued to bed and looked / feeling miserable anymore. And while I'm not saying that her new facility is perfect, when I have concerns, they listen. And react. They don't assume that I'm just being bossy or impatient. Please, don't be fooled by the flashy building or words when you tour this place. If you have to take your loved ones here, be vigilant. When you notice something, be sure to address it right away. I think I took too long, thinking that medical professionals knew more than I did. And it put my mom's recovery back weeks as a result of their poorly managed facility. If you can avoid this facility, I would recommend to do so. It breaks my heart to know that there are people in there getting treated poorly, which is why I felt it important to write this review. read more

This facility is under new management and I couldn't be more pleased with the thorough, professional, loving care my mother-in-law is receiving. I am a RN and very picky, as I should be. She was a resident there in 2014 and received incredible care. So I didn't read the reviews until after she was recently admitted for hip rehabilitation. I am grateful I didn't read them or would have placed her elsewhere. I can't question what was written since 2015, but I can tell you the place is GREAT and I would recommend it to anyone. THANK YOU to the new leadership and all of the caregivers who perform their duties with the utmost professionalism. I wish I could give a negative or less thank 0 review. My father was transferred to Coronado Rehab Center in February. He was 100 and has had a problem with his appetite in that he never felt hungry. He had been at Stone Oak Methodist for a week due to a fall. While at Methodist he developed a highly contagious infection and was being treated for it. Methodist told me there was nothing wrong with him except for the infection. He was put in quarantine at Coronado, meaning you had to wear gloves, gown & mask before going in the room. I got him to eat a little but I noticed there was absolutely no water glasses or any way for him to get a drink except to go into the bathroom which he couldn't do because he could barely walk. He was there for about 2 weeks. I was due to have an eye operation at the end of February and it was highly suggested by the head nurse to stay away, which I regrettably did. I called periodically to see how he was and they always told me he was fine. Well I called on March 8th and got the same report. On the 9th I got a call that he had been transported to NC Baptist Hospital and we rushed over there. What I saw was appalling. His transfer papers made no mention of his meds nor the fact that he had this highly contagious infection. He was also severely dehydrated, stage 1 kidney failure, septic in his blood and urine and his BP was 60/30. What the hell happened that last week? We visited him the week before and he seemed okay. And why did they tell me he was okay? The Doctor at the Hospital told me that he didn't think he had had anything to eat or drink in at least a week. So I called and reported them to the state. The State Inspector went directly over to them, interviewed the people who cared for him, read the medical reports and concluded that Coronado gave him the minimum care required by the state. Then why, I ask, was he half dead when he got to the Hospital? The Inspector also never called the Doctor at the Hospital. The Hospital was able to stabilized him but could get him to drink because his swallowing muscle no longer worked. He went into Hospice a week later a died a week after that. Forewarning to anyone who puts their loved one in these people care. It is the worst place in this City that I can think of. read more

The facility is very nice but staffs were not motivated to help the residences there. One instance today this afternoon when my daughter and I went visited my husband, he was smell so bad with urine and feces on him and I asked one of the staff to changed him, he said someone will 5-10 minutes, we waited 30 minutes no one came I changed him. I do not recommend this place read more

We had a family member here for a year and a half, moved them to a new facility that is head and shoulders above Coronado. They have some friendly staff in a nice facility, but the quality of care is lacking. For those few good caregivers, there are more there that seem to have a lack of caring and dodging more work than they think they should have to do. Long wait times for call lights, our family member was bound to a wheelchair at their insistence because of several falls waiting 30+ minutes for assistance. Patients are parked in the halls until someone "has time" and sometimes left sitting for hours. Staff repeatedly ignored all call signals going off. We were assured they would assist in walking to keep our family member moving and feeling better, but that never happened and we were told they were just too weak. At the new care facility, they are being walked and have gained so much strength and feels so much better. They still have a very sharp mind to know when they did and didn't receive correct medication. If you have a patient that can't somewhat advocate for themselves, be cautious placing them here. We spoke with the staff several times about frustrations and conversations were always receptive, friendly, and reassuring, but very little to no improvement. read more
