The court order removing the bio moms parental right was not the order. Lie. We have the judgement stating that was the order. That just because the mother lost parental rights, did not mean she lost educational rights. After hearing that, I realized that the school staff was knowledge challenged. What we came to find out is the school worked with the bio mom to give her rights to his files. This woman has not had parental rights for 12+ years for abusing her children and they let her have access to him as a minor.

A lot of students acted like they could get away with anything, even being able to do so, while my friends and I would get in trouble for the smallest things. Many of the insecurities I struggle with started there. Some teachers would call students out publicly over minor issues, which only made things worse and made me more insecure about my issues. One of my classmates even broke my glasses, and when my mom and I spoke to the vice principal about it, it felt like she didn't care and even found the situation amusing. Thankfully, I had a few good friends who helped me get through the school year. There were constant fights in and outside the school, which made me afraid to report how I was being treated. Some students would hold their phones over restroom stalls to take pictures of other students and show them to their friends. I was one of the students targeted. Since then, that experience has continued to affect me, and every time I saw those students, they wanted to start problems or fight me. My time at this school had made a serious impact on my mental health for almost over a year. I took antidepressants, and at one point I attempted to take my own life. I understand that middle school can be difficult, but no student deserves to be treated this way. What makes it even more upsetting is that many students have shared similar experiences over the years, yet it seems like little was done to address them. (I also want to mention that this review is based on my experiences from 2021-2023. The school may have changed since then, and I hope it has improved for current students. However, I still felt it was important to speak out about the issues I personally experienced during my time there.)

During my time here, I had high hopes of making friends, unfortunately that wasn't as planned. I remember coming into the school, hoping to make friends right off the bat, but it didn't quite turn out that way. I was surrounded by classmates who frequently displayed disruptive conduct, and I experienced peer pressure to imitate their antics in an effort to fit in, which just made me feel more out of place. I am a full Hispanic girl who, surprisingly, never learned to speak Spanish throughout my life.I also favored indoor activities to outdoor ones, which made me paler-skinned than some of my peers at the time. My appearance and lack of proficiency in the Spanish language became a target for ridicule. I was called names like "White" or told that I couldn't be Mexican because I couldn't speak Spanish. One particularly distressing incident stands out in my memory. I was assaulted by another student and had to be taken to the principal's office. Instead of finding support, my mom and I were met with hostility from the principal, who engaged in a confrontation with my mom. This ultimately led to my mom filing a police report, which, unfortunately, only made my situation worse. I became a target for more ridicule and even received threats at one point. The trauma from those years has stayed with me, but with time, I have grown older and more mature. I'm now attending a four-year university alongside my older sister, with the support of my dog and wonderful roommates who all love me just the way I am. It feels like the right time to share my experience with others, as a way of letting go of the past. Despite the challenges, there were a few bright spots during my time at the school. I cherish the very few individuals who saw the good in me and accepted me for who I am. Additionally, there was one special teacher who played a significant role in my life. not only my teacher but also became one of my best friends, providing the support I needed to make it through those difficult years. To that teacher, the one who picked me for student of the month, the one who let me (along with other students) sit in your classroom during lunch, you know who you are, if you are reading this, I am forever grateful for your kindness and friendship during my time in that hell hole.

Multiple issues with the school nurse not giving my children their medication when it was required by doctor. They even confiscated one of my kids inhalers and told him he was not allowed to carry any medication, that it had to be left with the school nurse. So basically, if my child was having an asthma attack they had to run to the office and ask the nurse for their inhaler. Which she would then have to log into her computer to verify that they were allowed to use it. All while having an asthma attack. Eventually I was told this nurse was fired. Six months later she was back working at the school. There was plenty more incidents that the school never did anything about.

It took 4 days for the enrollment department to get back with me only to let me know that if I wanted my son to do one of their other virtual programs that he had to be in perfect attendance at the Corona Student Center for the 2 weeks prior to the next virtual enrollment wave. I tried explaining his circumstances but they basically thumbed their noses at us and said no. Then, the principal of the school actually DID reach out on Wednesday and I explained EVERYTHING to him about my son's anxiety issues and that we would like to switch him to the virtual program immediately so that he doesn't fall further behind in his 3rd grade academics. Sure, I probably made things harder for myself at times, but a lot of what happened? That's on the school.Seventh grade started off fine. I was quiet. Minding my own business. I made a friend. It was actually kinda nice. But then in science class, this boy kept bullying me over my Tourette's. Like constantly. I can't control it. I tried to stop it. I told the counselor. They were nice, told me it wasn't okay, said they'd talk to him and handle it. Guess what? They didn't. Nothing happened. He kept going. Eventually he moved on to someone else like it was a game. So yeah, he stopped bullying me. But only because he found a new target. That's not a solution. That's just ignoring the problem until it shifts. Now fast forward to eighth grade. We're supposed to be the oldest, the leaders, the ones setting the example. Yeah right. Drama was everywhere, and the drama I was in? I'm not gonna spill all the details or name names (except for one person, she earned it), but let's just say the school said they'd take it "seriously." Spoiler alert: they didn't. They suspended the wrong kid. Literally punished someone who didn't do anything while the actual problem just got swept under the rug. And now the cherry on top: their "leadership" program. It sounds cute until you're actually in it. It's run by this one teacher -- yeah, I'm name-dropping -- Mrs. Saunders. We were cutting skeletons for an activity, and she starts screaming at this kid in class. Straight up yelling in front of everyone. I went over to ask him if he was okay, but I could tell he didn't feel like talking. Later, he told me he has motor skill issues and struggles with cutting. And instead of helping him, Mrs. Saunders made him clean everything up like he did something wrong. She told him it was "the least he could do. This place is a mess. It's a dumpster fire. No support. My oldest daughter wanted to remain, so she still attends. In my experience, there aren't many negative reviews online because many families simply choose not to post them. Over the years, I've personally known several families who have left the school. I believe the school has potential, but the administration has LOTS of room for improvement. Concerns are often dismissed or not addressed in a timely or effective manner. If you're considering the school, I recommend asking about teacher retention. There seems to be frequent turnover, and some teachers appear to have limited experience. While there are certainly excellent teachers, many don't stay long enough to provide consistency for students. I'd also ask about class sizes and classroom management. Although the website has historically advertised smaller classes, our experience was closer to 22 students per class. Managing that many young children can be challenging, and there were times when classroom behavior made it difficult for students to focus and learn. Academically, I did not feel the education met my expectations for the tuition cost. I know several families who felt they needed to supplement learning at home to keep their children on track. If class sizes have increased, I believe the school's website should accurately reflect that so prospective families can make informed decisions. At over $11,000 per year per child, I expected a higher level of academic rigor, classroom support, and administrative responsiveness. One positive aspect is the school's commitment to Christian values. I especially appreciated the Wednesday chapel services and the emphasis on teaching the Bible.
