I can't tell you how many times we've driven by. We never noticed this park. It's located adjacent to the Randall Museum. With the current pandemic a group of us have been riding our e-bikes throughout the City. Today we made a stop here. There are a series of steps to the top where you can take in breathtaking views. Allow a few minutes to walk up. What fantastic views. And on we were here on a clear gorgeous afternoon. So beautiful. We are so fortunate to live in the City

tl;dr: Great little park with good views of the city at the peak. Also, ideal for dog owners. You'll able to see the Golden Gate bridge, Bay, and the ocean. Depending on what path you take, you may want to wear hiking shoes as it can get a bit muddy. I would avoid the path up the park near the tennis courts if you have mobility issues as it's quite rocky and steep. If you're just here to walk, it would probably take you about 30 minutes, so not necessarily a place to come if you're looking for a long hike. The park itself is very popular area for dog lovers and there's a dog park that was filled with 10-15 dogs.

Beautiful views of the city! The entrance was definitely a bit hard to find. We parked on Castro and walked up Beaver. We did this hike with our baby which was a little tricky because there were some parts that had tiny rocks which might be dangerous if you aren't really watching each step etc. However there were some very nice shots along the way and it's a little hidden gem.

Rocky hills in middle of the city. The map at the entrance shows easy , moderate , challenging routes. If you're in decent physical shape , you can easily do all three levels of routes . You can climb onto the huge clusters of boulders at the peak if you are not vertigo like me , but be safe it's SUPER windy especially at the peak. Pro: sweeping view of the city , Sutro Tower . Not as crowded as the Twin Peaks. Close from Buena Vista Park Park rating : 5/5 Humans: 26 Wildlife:0 Stroller friendly: not so much since even on the flat surface at the bottom , the surface is filled with mulches. ADA friendly: unfortunately no

One of my favorite views of the city! It only takes about a 10-15 minute walk up a hill for beautiful 360 degree views. There's also a dog park on one side of this hill.

We were looking for a nice place to walk while visiting in SF and found this place. It was a beautiful park with wide trails and lots of stairs, but it's worth it with amazing views the whole way up. There's even a place at the very top that has 360° views. We went on a Saturday afternoon and it wasn't too busy, so it was easy to social distance even when passing others. Going up and down took about 45 minutes total -- it's a fairly short trail with easy parking on the street nearby.

Just walked up here from my house, it took no time and a little effort but got the best views around! Morning hike was so gorgeous and didn't take forever:)

Corona Heights has a many things going for it such as its central location, unique rock formations, stunning views, and hiking trails. The entrance on Roosevelt is the most direct but for a more rustic trail enter on 15th st to the right of the school. Blackberry bushes adorn the beginning of this path in the summertime. Hiking-wise the park has some trails but it seems to be more popular for people walking dogs and hanging out with friends taking in the view mesmerized by its beauty. To make it more of a longer hike it's best to add on Buena Vista Park and/or the Saturn and Vulcan stairs nearby. On a clear day the view is amazing and you can see all the way to the East Bay but keep it mind it can get very windy here.

Very short hike. So easy! Lol.. but the view is very pretty. I visited this spot with my bestie last month, and there were alot of people just perched up on the rocks. At the time, the sun had already set so it was getting kinda dark there, and you can definitely see the city lights starting to brighten up the darkening skyline. 3.5 stars.

Corona Heights Summit is my new favorite place in San Francisco. It's better than Twin Peaks, because you can see Twin Peaks from Corona Heights. The park makes for a fantastic little hike in the heart of San Francisco. It's Steep and some of the terrain is just a little rugged. But when you get to the top the view is fantastic. And then there's the geology. If you're interested in geology, you will love this park. Bedded chert everywhere. And off of 15th and beaver you'll find the most amazing slickenside side anywhere. If you don't know what it's look inside is, look it up on Google.

This is a nice park that houses Randall Museum, but we didn't visit today. The small group of 4 people started at Twin Peaks Bar in the Castro. Then we had to climb the hill to this place. It has some rocky parts to climb around. There are views of the city and it is a different view than the Twin Peaks area. It was completely new to me and then we somehow made our way to Buena Vista Park. This path is really unique and not something that I have done. From Castro to the Haight District, it takes an hour. It is uphill and downhill. This is probably not a dog park in SF.

Turn down the noise and turn up the quiet in your life. Corona Heights park is predominantly a dog park, with both a fenced in playground for doggies and a small patch of green for the lil pooch (and their master!) to run around. Located amidst a residential area of Twin Peaks/Upper Castro, this park is located on Roosevelt Ave, near the Randall Museum. The park itself is not that big, but it has this amazing rock formation, can be easily climbed but there are no rails, so be careful. When you reach the peak, you'll feel the strong winds but will marvel at the unobstructed views of downtown SF and Twin Peaks. You can always come here and find that it's never crowded. It's almost as if, this is SF's best kept secret.

Great gated dog park and 360 view of SF. I go here 4 times a week with the dog and I just love this dog park because it's gates, the people are cool, the dogs are fun and it's mostly mulch on the ground with a small muddy patch towards the back. There are also big trunks of trees if you want to do some agility training with your dogs. You can meander up the rocky out crop and check out the view...it's wonderful!

The park itself is pretty much always clean. Many of the dogs are from the neighborhood so there are a lot of regular. Practically all the owners we have met are also pretty nice. If you're driving to the park, there is a ton of parking in the area. Only downside is that meters in Mission Bay go until 10pm, but that's no fault of the park. The park is open from 6am until 10pm and we have found that the best time to go is in the morning before work or in the later evening, post 8pm. The park can be especially busy right after working hours and, for us, we try not to go during this time. We love this park and go to it almost daily!

The layout is more challenging and perfect for little explorers who love to climb, balance, and stay active. My 3-year-old always finds something new to do, and it keeps them engaged for a long time. I also appreciate that babies aren't left out--there are designated areas where younger kids can safely play too. The restroom is conveniently located and clean, which is a big plus for families. That said, some of the rocky edges can be a bit risky for adventurous kids, so it's definitely a place where you'll want to keep a close eye on them at all times.
