I actually wouldn't even give this company one star, but unfortunately Yelp doesn't allow otherwise. I received this notice on my car despite the fact that my car DID have a parking permit. I understand this was issued at 3:13 AM so it's possible it was hard to spot the permit in the dark (in which case, I know you can get a flashlight for a very modest price), but that would be very unfortunate if my car had been towed, only for them to find that the hangtag was in fact in place while in their tow yard. You betta check yo self before you wreck yoself. Update 6/12/17 Yup, still one star. Response below from Russell C. shows no accountability for their mistake. Great business ethics and customer service. By the way, I was not non-compliant. The permit was displayed within view from the outside of vehicle. The notice states, "No Parking Permit - Scheduled for removal", not "No Parking Permit CLEARLY DISPLAYED - Scheduled for removal". It's ridiculous to insinuate that residents are not allowed to put sunSHIELDS (not visors, those are the small contraptions that descend from the top of the interior of most vehicles) on their vehicles so your company can do their ONE job. read more

I worked for this company as well as other Security companies in Ventura County & Philadelphia. I read the latest reviews. I still know many people that work here. I did standing posts, residential, events, dispatch, and patrol for this company. There's a process for tickets, towing and every HOA is different. The company has to abide by HOA requests. We actually don't like ticketing or towing because it's alot of paperwork over several days so if it happens it was for a reason! I read some reviews from disgruntled employees...if they didn't get hours or got fired it was because it was their fault.Racist...Definitely not! Juan does like people to walk in and meet him. If you didn't get hired it wasn't a race thing, it was probably your professionalism or something you said upon arrival. He meets all the account holders and knows what they're looking for. Juan goes above and beyond for staff. He's gone out of his way to find rides for staff that don't have vehicles, paid Ubers, gas, lunch out of his own pocket.Theres always hours and OT in Security if you work hard the money is there. I read someone complaining about Costco, its one of the easiest sites to cover! Matt being mean lol You might want to pick a different employee to say that about. Both Matt's in management are the nicest guys ever. I will say in all companies of Security you'll piss off people. This company is a great company to work for. I also worked for PSC, Securitas, and American Guard, Brosnan. PSC is also ok just not the safest accounts. read more

I don't make a decision to write a negative review lightly and always take time for the situation to cool off so I don't leave a bad review based on emotions. This company is not a company to do business with. This review is NOT about the tow but rather how they handled the call and CUSTOMER when we called for information. If you are an HOA, business, or residential customer considering a security company I would stay as far away from Cornwall as you can. Based 100% around how I was treated when seeking information I have nothing positive to say about the owner or his patrol manager. Rude and disrespectful sums it up. Putting aside that they seemingly authorize the towing cars unjustly they are rude, disrespectful and were caught in a number of lies when questioned about the tow. The "Patrol Manager" (Matt) was so rude that I sent the owner (Russ) an email, which he claims to have conveniently not not gotten but seemed to know exactly what I called about and he too was quite rude. When I called him the next morning he stated that they record calls, which I was happy to hear so he could hear the disrespect that his employee displayed towards me which included being hung up on, talked over and basically being told that my cars were being targeted. The owner then implied that I was lying when I told him how I was treated and what was said to me by Matt, his manager ,who also said he had no supervisor because he was the manager. If you record the calls then what I am stating can be 100% validated and the employee Matt should be fired or at the very least put into a role where he has no contact with customers. More disturbing is that the tow receipt from the tow company said the car was "broken into to release the parking brake". Cornwall is the company that called the tow truck and had to authorize them to "break in" which they also deny doing even though it is in writing. A security company should protect not work against you. Very rude and unprofessional from the top down. Do yourself a favor and find a different security company if you want to feel safe, and be treated with respect. Interesting how on 3/20 - 3/22 they had (5) five star reviews to boost their poor yelp rating. read more

I received a parking citation from my HOA when I called Cornwall security they were professional and courteous and explained how I could avoid any problems in the future. I wasn't glad I got the ticket but I'll bring that policy up with the HOA. read more

Cornwall does a fabulous job on security for our commercial buildings. They are always prompt and alert. Their security guards are like no other, very professional and attentive, making sure no one that is unauthorized comes onto the grounds. I have also done a live scan through them, where you get your fingerprints scanned for a job.... it was quick and easy, they are right smack in the middle of T.O Blvd! Barbara and Russel are great owners who are always easy to reach when needed. Not that they need help promoting the company, since they are the top security company in the conejo valley, but I highly recommend them, they do a great job! read more

very poor customer service! car was towed due to violation of HOA, which is my responsibility, but when called to speak to the head of security, he was extremely rude as was the girl that answers the phone. Im reading all other reviews and starting to get a sense they retaliate if you complain! This company was hired to watch over the condo community I live in. I have lived in my home for over 12 years and have had several shady situations with them. 1. Years ago, They towed my friends truck without receiving even one notice and we had to drive to ventura to get the truck!!! 2. They towed my sisters truck after giving a 24 hour notice and towed it within that 24 hour time. My sister actually caught them towing the car and wouldn't release the car even though they had not left the premises!! 3. Just two days ago my parents received a notice stating they had exceeded 7 days of parking within a 30 day period. BS! Because my parents are old and handicapped and can't ever stay longer than 2-3 days!!! I called them today and spoke to Michael who at first claimed they have pictures to prove my parents car was parked there more than 7 days and I argued back that I have proof they had stayed only 3! In the midst of my threatening to file a complaint he changed his story and said that they made a mistake and they hired someone new that took the wrong license plate down. Unbelievable!!! I will for sure file a lawsuit against this company if one more thing happens. They are shady and only want money for towing cars away illegally. They don't follow proper protocol (which is their own protocol) . If I could give ZERO stars I would! read more

I was dropping off food to my family in the Meadows of Camarillo on Via Arandana St, where they have lived for the last 20 years. I parked in the GUEST PARKING, next to the mailboxes, across from the pool and received a warning on my car for being parked without a permit. This area is GUEST parking, not permit parking. I looked around and noticed several other cars, all parked in Guest parking with the same warning tickets. The signs clearly state it is Guest parking. Looks like they are writing false warnings in order to put these cars on the record to be towed at a latter date. I left a message and no one has called back. This is a fraudulent claim and I will be reporting this to the City of Camarillo and the Camarillo Police department. I visit my family often to care for them and do not need false warnings logged on my car, with the threat of towing. I have photos and videos to prove where I was parked and for how long. Cornwall charged my company for "security patrol" for many years. Only after we installed cameras and had several incidents involving homeless people and druggies did we discover that Cornwall was not even doing the patrol they were charging us for, and missed finding the trespassers who should have been in plain sight. This resulted in confrontations by our staff in the morning when the trespassers were still on premises. Once this evidence was pointed out to Cornwall, they denied everything and got nasty. ***** P.S. Once Russ Cornwall read my initial review, he emailed one of my male partners and asked him if he could get me to remove it. He called my post "silliness," "petty" and "unprofessional." I take my safety and that of my coworkers seriously, apparently more seriously than Cornwall does. Also, I find the descriptions used by Mr. Cornwall to be misogynistic and unprofessional, which is consistent with my prior dealings with him. I have emails to back up my opinions, as well as videos.
