This is a really lovely park... plenty of open space for playing games on the grass, getting some…read moresun, and also a pavilion or two for larger groups that want some cover & picnic tables. in the lower area, there's a very short little pathway by the water... there were kids playing and exploring the water, and someone else was fly fishing. On the upper portion of the park is the actual walking trail, which is a really well worn out path and very easy to walk (though I wouldn't consider it accessible to those in wheelchairs, etc). There isn't really anything to *see* at the end... it just kind of ends... but then you turn around and walk back. Honestly, my dog was more than happy to explore the entirety either way. :) I do have to remove one star because their bathroom facilities aren't great. At the time of my visit, the women's restroom was completely clogged - and the men's room was basically a single stall. :-/ TL;DR Really enjoyable park and I'll definitely be back in the future.

This place can get busy especially in the summer months, lots of hiking, playground, basketball and tennis courts. Over the years I've played in some adult softball leagues. Lots of fun . Parking can sometimes be chaotic, there's a few smaller lots along the street. Family friendly park with a few lodges to rent. They have a few events and festivals held here too.

The park was designed by premier landscape architect Fredric Law Olmsted back in the early part of the last century. It is a little tricky to find and negotiate where the best views are, which I think is what keeps people away and maybe slightly intimidated. I took on this park after exploring the Maplewood Rose Garden, and found that jaunt to be perfectly doable, if you're thinking about making an afternoon of it. When I was there, we took some time to explore the artwork, which includes some great and unbiased pieces about Rochester's past. We hopped a small railing to get up close and personal with the falls, which provides a great view. If I am remembering correctly there are some tents and a community making their home in this part of the park, so just be aware of that. I highly recommend taking your next park trip to Lower Falls!

The paths are lovingly maintained. I have visited in all seasons and conditions. Check out the town website for all of the community events hosted here as well as hours for the park and nature center. The historic home is open for tours and tells the story of the farm and family that owned it for 6 generations. There are restrooms near the parking lot area by the home. A small children's garden, a playground, a labyrinth /maze and exercise stations are just some of the things of note. There are plenty of benches to sit and relax and take in the views. This park is ADA compliant.

It was a short visit, due to time, air quality,and pollen. Enjoyed the sun, and beauty of nature. Will go back another time non allergy, air quality issue.
