We parked on the East Bay Drive entrance (which has a very steep but short climb to view the bluffs). Please note the east entrance to the Bluff Trail has a limited number of parking spots with two porta-potty units instead of a full restroom. This is NOT the main entrance to the state park (which offers a larger parking lot and picnic benches). Although we did not have enough time to explore the other sections of the park or walk the full 1.3 miles of the Bluff Trail, I think the dramatic view of the drumlins with Lake Ontario in the background was more than worth the 1 hour drive from Penn Yan (on Keuka Lake) where we stayed for vacation. Another benefit of parking on the east end of the Bluff trail is that you have convenient walking access to Dragon View Beach (a popular spot to go swimming in the summer).

(So sad) Jack's Place is such an awesome playground! The recommended age range is 5-12. There are so many neat aspects of it including some unique spinning "rides", numerous slides, swings, lots of places to climb and a rubberized digging zone. There are a few benches around for the adults. Our kiddos had so much fun here! Highly recommend!

Plenty of field and a couple of picnic tables. I don't recommend eating there based on our experience yesterday. We were invaded by what looked like fruit flies times 1,000. It literally rained bugs on us at the picnic table within one minute of sitting down so we booked it out of there and ate down the street another playground before returning. There are a few different activities for the kids, some the same as the location in Penfield such as the sand pit (here it's rubber), the big standup spinner, and the signature dinosaurs. They have signs…read morethroughout telling you which branch of the trail to take if you want to go to Main St, or Budd Park, etc. We noticed quite a few benches and tables on our way through, a swing, and at least 4 exercise stops. It looked manicured and well taken care of. We walked the trail to Budd Park and then swung around and took town streets back to the car for fun!

The beach area is enclosed into a square, guarded by at least three lifeguards. There are plenty of parking spaces, a food concession and restrooms in the main building and plenty of restrooms and showers behind this front building. The weather cooperated and it was perfect. ​

As we visited on a holiday it was very busy, but we arrived early and had no trouble finding parking. The park had staff on hand to direct traffic and assist in finding a spot.

He gave us some tips about where we might see certain types of birds and he was absolutely spot on!! We spotted a pair of bald eagles in the tree line and after a 5 minute wait or so, they treated us to a flight right over the car to soar over the water on the other side of the drive. It is absolutely amazing that this wonderful resource is free to enjoy. The visitors center is accessible to those using mobility equipment and the drive is a wonderful way to enjoy the wildlife without a hike.

Near Rochester, right off a highway, Corbett's Glen is very easy to get to. It's located inside a…read morequaint neighborhood (expect to walk behind houses at points along the hike), and is very well-maintained. We started on the wood-area of the park, walking toward the creek and water falls at the Glen itself. The round trip of the hike was just a sliver more than 2 miles but it was an easy hike, with just two sections of up/down hill-climbing. Very beautiful and picturesque, with an amazing tunnel under the Amtrak tracks. Very much recommended for a short, morning hike if you don't mind the drive out.

A nice walk on the pier out to the lighthouse though an awful lot of small flying insects. Of course, the lighthouse is accessible from here too. These two lighthouses protect Sodus Bay, the largest natural harbor on Lake Ontario. This light was first established in 1858, the new lighthouse was replaced in 1938 with this 51 foot tall structure. The view over Lake Ontario is fabulous, especially this early in the morning. Visited Sodus Point for the first time yesterday. It was the last Friday in May so it was quiet. I…read morewas on a mini sabbatical and enjoyed the beach solo. The beach is very clean. There is swimming when lifeguards are on duty. You feel like you're at the ocean when sitting on a Lake Ontario beach. The lighthouse view is stunning. There are bathrooms, a food stand, and a playground area. There is also a covered space with picnic tables. It's a perfect spot for a family. Dogs are allowed on a leash so we will be able to bring out pooch! There is plenty of parking. The houses along the street to the beach are adorable! There's a quaint little village with a few restaurants and shops. We will be back this summer!
