Absolutely loved the roasted cauliflower pasty (curried, with garbanzo beans).

Had a decent cheese and onion pasty. I've mostly been underwhelmed by pasties, even in the south west, but this one was alright.

The Bakewell tart is also very nice though it uses sliced almonds instead of the more traditional almond paste, which isn't to everyone's taste. Finally, we took some of the scones home to eat with piles of jam and clotted cream, and they proved up to the task, though otherwise unremarkable as scones always are.

And The Chough's pasties are made of the most wonderful fillings and crust, especially the rolled bit that you grab on to whilst eating out the center bit. If you find yourself in Padstow, go on, contribute to the local economy and sink your teeth around a real bit of British culinary history. God bless the Pasty. God bless The Chough.
