I couldn't have been made to feel more welcome when I bought my wedding dress (unlike at several more traditional bridalwear shops I had visited before who couldn't believe I wanted a dress to wear in 3-4 months not 2 years time and seemed to take no notice of the style I was interested in and either wanted to sell me something entirely different or said they couldn't possibly help with such a short timescale). The choice at Copplestones was huge but as the shop was so well laid out it was easy to find what I was looking for. I only tried on a few wedding dresses and came away with exactly what I wanted for under £300. Truly amazing! You book an appointment and…read morego and look through all the dresses (there are hundreds of them on rails!) and the great part is that they're all the top labels from the high street wedding shops but for much less! No dress is more than £300. Mine had a price tag of £1200 but was only £300! You can then either put a deposit on it and pay it off or pay for it then. Then you can go back and have a fitting with their seamstress (Angela is lovely!) a couple of weeks before the wedding. You don't get the same fuss as in an expensive shop but they have made the place as nice as possible and then you can go off for a glass of wine in Liverpool afterwards! Her dresses appeared on My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding which revealed insight into the process the travelling community go through in preparation for marriage. In 2006, she designed what is believed to be the world's biggest wedding dress which weighed in at a whopping 25st with a 60ft train. The dress had 30,000 Swarovski crystals and 120 metres of silk. As well brides dresses, the shop also stocks bridesmaid and special occasions outfit.
