We spent three nights in one of their cottages while in town for a wedding. The cottage was very clean and the decor was great, We had a king size bed, and an antique dresser and secretary! They even had a front porch with chairs that faced a gazebo and a back screened in porch with a ceiling light and fan, two chairs and a table. The people at the front desk when we checked in and when we went back to ask questions about Nashville, were extremely hopeful and very friendly. My friend and I stayed here last week for a short Thurs-Fri girls trip for our February birthdays. The location is great first off. The gal at the front desk was really friendly and nice. They also put up a poster/sign by one of the doors wishing us a happy birthday, so that was a nice surprise! We stayed in a Cane Ridge room with 2 beds and a fireplace. The TV was a smart one and we could log in to our personal streaming service accts. The beds and pillows.... Ahhh.... I'm picky when it comes to these 2 things, but it had to have been one of the most comfortable hotel/inn beds I've slept in. Everything was great and we've already talked about making this a yearly thing. Most of the stores close at 5 pm though which we were a bit put off by. We highly recommend the Cornerstone Inn as your destination place to stay in Brown County, IN. Nestled in the middle of the action in Brown County, IN, the Cornerstone Inn offers clean, spacious and classy accommodations with great hospitality! Pam was friendly and even called us to let us know they have gotten 5 - 6 inches of snow in the evening before we were supposed to arrive. She worked with us to change our reservation to arrive a day later. We chose to stay in one of the side houses. Our room was spacious with a king size bed on a beautiful antique post bed. We had a gas fireplace which kept the room nice and toasty besides adding to the romantic ambiance of our 35th wedding anniversary. The room included beautiful antique furniture with some of the modern amenities like a large screen TV above the fireplace, a spacious bathroom with a large jetted tub and a separate walk-in shower. The bathroom was outfitted with high end toiletries including a shower cap and a vanity set. The room also included a coffee pot with an assortment of Mellita coffees, a refrigerator, and microwave. Note that many of the shops are closed for the winter. This didn't spoil our stay since it gave us a chance to unplug and enjoy each other's company. We did find a couple of shops to add to my collection of handmade soaps and naturally flavored balsamic vinegars. We also enjoyed some coffee at the local coffee shop. We've stayed at The Loft, Goshen, & Shiloh and have loved them all & how walkable it is to the shops! The loft is modern & offers a full kitchen with all the cooking amenities, fridge, dishwasher, table etc. It's great when you come to Nashville but want to save some money making your own meals. The only thing you may need to bring is a cutting knife. My husband had to cut onions with a butter knife & it was the funniest thing I've seen! Although Goshen & Shiloh don't have kitchens, they do offer a king size bed, fireplace & jetted tub which is great for relaxation! I have a weird thing about not wanting to have pictures of people staring at me on the wall, & luckily these are a few of the ones that don't have those creepy pictures haha. Also the very first time I checked in here, it asked me to only review their breakfast so that's why my first review is so odd haha! Breakfast is unfortunately no longer free & also not currently an option with covid. read more

Cute bed and breakfast located right in the heart of downtown Nashville. There is the original Cornerstone Inn building, and then several new cottage buildings located nearby. We stayed in one of the newer cottages. We loved the deep soak tub, the screened in porch, and the nightly home-made desserts served in the basement of the Inn. Our room had lots of antiques in it -- pictures, dresser, desk, lamps. The room was quiet and clean, and bigger than we anticipated. I think the price (about $200/night without discount/special pricing) was a BIT high, considering we stayed in the off season and Nashville isn't exactly prime real estate. Nowhere on their website did they update & let customers know that they COMPLETELY took away their food. A bed & breakfast without the breakfast is just a glammed up hotel. This was my first time coming here (to celebrate a birthday) and we were totally looking forward to the WHOLE experience. This our Go-To get away at Nashville, Indiana. Never a gross out find while staying here. The cottages have; gas fireplace, two person tubs, patio seating, frig, micro, and coffee. But while bother with the later. The Inn has a snack kitchen in the lower level for all registered guest. Coffee, tea, fruit, and dessert is available every evening. I stayed at Cornerstone Inn last weekend in one of their new cottages. Our room had a fireplace (one-touch remote-control start!), huge jacuzzi, and screened-in back porch. The room was quiet, clean, and comfortable with beautiful antique furniture (think expensive estate furniture in beautiful heavy wood rather than creepy crappy metal bronze bed & mis-matched chairs) yet a modern comfy mattress, plush pillows, and new soft towels. Everything was thought of with room design - a high window in the bathroom for lighting yet no peepers, and all of the other windows (including the small one above the door) had beautiful blinds that can be easily closed for privacy. Breakfast was fantastic - fresh cut fruit, pancakes, eggs, oatmeal, cinnamon raisin bread, etc. It changes every morning. Some people complain that it is served on paper plates & plastic silverware, but the food is fantastic and makes up for that. The staff is all very friendly and accommodating. The inn had a free parking lot, and is downtown in the heart of the antique stores. So perfect location also. read more

Okay so this was a total surprise for me. I was "kidnapped" after arriving home from work one day (by my boyfriend). We show up here and my mouth just drops. I absolutely prefer the bed and breakfast to any resort so this was perfect. My gosh is this place fun! I felt like a little explorer...just wandering around looking at all the old artwork and furnishings. I really enjoyed interacting with the staff - they would drop anything for you - including give you some medicine (probably their own) when you have a terrible headache. They'll do anything to accommodate your wishes when it comes to the room as well as dining options. The have a quaint snack area setup throughout the day and evening so that guests can take things back to their rooms. Some healthy and some not so healthy. I had oatmeal on Saturday morning and it was unlike anything I had ever had - Paula Deen recipe came to mind. So it might not have been healthy but I loved it. Sitting on the porch, in large rocking chairs, watching people walk buy was relaxing. You feel like you're just in a different world while on that porch...time moved slower while people were running around trying to get as much shopping done as possible. Yes the pries are high but heck - it was worth it! The rooms are furnished with beautiful chairs, loveseats and a king-size bed TO.DIE.FOR. You get all sorts of fun complimentary items to use in their Jacuzzi tubs too (in the suite)! read more

This is one of the finest inns we have ever stayed at. It made a special anniversary night extra-special. We stayed at the Upper Rooms building which is separate from the main inn. I believe each room is uniquely furnished. The room we chose, UR4, was extremely clean and beautifully furnished with what appeared to be expensive dark mahogany or cherry antique furniture and wall decorations. A huge arched picture window with a stained glass hanging made the room bright and airy. The beds were very comfortable and had high quality soft sheets. The bathroom was small but adequate and stocked with every necessity, down to the Q-tip. Management seems to anticipate every need. The common area of the building included a complete kitchen and dining area stocked with coffee's, tea's, hot chocolate, and even microwave popcorn packets! The included breakfast was absolutely wonderful. Served in the main building it included what appeared to me to be a gourmet egg casserole of a type we had never experienced but was delicious. There was also bacon, pancakes, a toaster for fresh toast, cereals, fresh strawberries, blueberries, and other fruit, as well as several tempting pastries. The dining room itself was homey and like everywhere else in the inn, was beautifully decorated. We seldom write reviews but our stay at this inn impressed us so much that we had to share this gem with others. read more

I was able to get a last minute reservation late at night, staff is friendly and the room very clean. My biggest complaint is the noise. The bathroom vent is extremely loud however, the noisiest part is the room above me. I have been able to hear the clients upstairs walk to bathroom, flush the toilet and get back to bed. At 7am this morning I heard the shower. At 8am I could hear the housekeeper in the hallway and heard her loud and clear as she knocked on several doors trying to find and empty room to begin cleaning. Later I heard a person walking around with a walkie talkie. I could hear the entire conversation loud and clear. This is an old building and there's probably not much that can be done about the noise. I'm just lucky I didn't have to listen to any intimate relationships going on,. read more

I can't say enough good about this Inn. It is located right in the heart of downtown Nashville - walkable to everything! The ladies at check in were very sweet - providing us with tips and maps, etc... Our room was spotless clean and so inviting. We had a large soaking tub in our room, which had skylights above it. I could've stayed there all evening. The snacks they provide in evening are heavenly - homemade desserts and other delicious treats. It was worth every penny and we cannot wait to return. read more

My family and I have stayed here since it was built. The newer cottages have become our favorite although It's nice to walk down to the kitchen at night and get snacks when you stay in the main building. It's always clean and comfy and we never go anywhere for breakfast because the spread it always spectacular. During the fall it is quite pricey but well worth it. read more

Love this place! The king suite in the main bldg was beautiful. The whirlpool tub was huge and wonderful and sooo relaxing. The bed was an ultra comfortable temperpedic king bed, which I have never experienced at an inn or hotel. The comforter and pillows were nice and fluffy. We loved that we could open the windows for fresh air. We actually left each day completely rested. Plenty of towels and soaps, the food was fantastic every day we were here, and it was a really unique experience. We have decided to come back a couple times a year and make this "our little getaway" close to home. I wish I could give this place 10 stars! read more

We could have spent all of our time in our room, sitting on the screened in porch with anbook, or rocking in chairs on a spacious 2nd story veranda as we sipped complimentary lemonade. But we came to shop, and that was wasy to do! You are mere steps from shopping and restaurants, so you don't spend money on parking. I wish I could have stayed for a week to really enjoy the accommodations. Whoever bakes the cakes at this place is a culinary genius--both evening snacks and breakfast featured delicious cakes that we all loved. read more

My husband and I stayed at the Cornerstone Inn for our Anniversary weekend getaway. It was such a wonderful experience. First the employees are all wonderful. Each one was pleasant and helpful. We felt so welcome and at home from the moment we walked in to the moment we left. We even made two more reservations to return before we headed home :) The food is simple but totally fresh and delicious. The fruit and home made granola was just up my ally and the biscuits and sausage gravy with scrabbled eggs were perfect for my husband. Cajun home fries and baked goods to die for! There is a main house with about 20 rooms then adult only cabins across the lot. They have a two bedroom house on the property where children are allowed and another property in town that does not come with the B&B services. They are in the heart of town and have a parking lot for guest. You can get to each corner of Nashville right from the Inn without ever having to move your car and look for parking! Snacks and baked goods are placed out each afternoon and evening along with coffee, tea, fresh fruit and popcorn 24/7. The room we stayed in was wonderful! It's apparently being remodeled later in the year but we thought it was just lovely! I also must say, I've stayed in some REALLY nice hotels, but I've NEVER had softer towels than at Cornerstone. They truly pay attention to details. We loved our stay! They often have winter and weekday specials for half off rooms or BOGO rooms. Really a great value if you can go when these prices are available. Fantastic value! I would return with friends for a shopping trip, with the family for outdoor adventures and certainly for another romantic getaway. It's really a wonderful place to hang your hat. read more

My boyfriend and I visited Nashville this last week and we stayed in one of the new cottages (Shiloh). I must say, I was surprised at how clean and classy this place was. I knew it was nice, but wow! The bathroom was immaculate, as well as the room. We loved the fireplace and television. The bed was very comfortable. The decor was simple, buy all in all, this room is the perfect mix between vintage and modern. We will definitely be back in the fall. read more

We visited Nashville, IN on June 7 and were fortunate to stay at The Cornerstone Inn in one of the new cottages. Our room and the room of our friends also staying there, was beautiful. Big comfortable bed in a spacious room, fireplace that was nice on a chilly night and a beautiful private screened porch where we could enjoy a glass of wine and relax. Afternoon snacks in the main Inn were tasty (and high calorie!) and the breakfast was the best we've ever had had a bed and breakfast! The staff is very helpful and very friendly; good small town hospitality! We loved the decor in our room, the spacious and well-appointed bathroom (even with a clever nightlight) and comfortable sofa that probably is a hide-a-bed. The property and our room was lovely, large and well-appointed, new with an antique feeling. The breakfast was bountiful and varied if not exciting or particularly complicated. The staff, however, were not very hospitable, despite a veneer of friendliness. We were not allowed in our room until 3:00 on the dot (stated check-in time) although the maids had finished cleaning the rooms some time before. We, and another family, had to wait in the lobby until the stroke of 3, which seemed a tad rigid for a B&B supposedly founded on making guests feel at home. Additionally, as there were no Do Not Disturb signs available, we were advised to just let the front desk folk know we did not want maid service the next day. We did so, but when we returned to our room after breakfast and a morning walk, the room had been serviced. We will not be returning. read more

I would be able to review the hotel completely if I were actually able to stay there. It's a shame that their up-front customer service is less than ideal. I called on a Monday, explaining that we were coming to Brown County at the last minute and inquired about room availability for the following Saturday. I was told that they do not reserve rooms for one night and that although they did have a room available, it would be impossible to reserve without Sunday included as well. Understandable. She explained that she was confident that it would release and would call me on Wednesday morning. She said that I was first on the list and that she had it noted that I would be called first. Pretty sure the list gets completely dismissed, because when I hadn't heard from her on Wednesday evening, I called back only to hear, "ooooh, I'm sorry we are completely booked." I explained that I was told I would get a call back and she said, "well we booked all of the rooms, did we have your name down?" I explained my conversation on Monday, and she responded that now when she searched for my name, she saw it, but that it must've just booked up. I asked for how the list is handled, and she explained that it wasn't sure as to which room it was even for and why I was on the list, just that they didn't call me for a room and they booked up. I hung up and then called back to inquire about the owner's name (Pam) and she mentioned she was going to call me back anyway to tell me... and I quote "I wanted to tell you that I wasn't working that and that it wasn't me that messed it up. It was Kathy" That's lovely... she was going to call me back to finger point that she wasn't the reason for the customer service mishap. So, be forewarned that if you want to book a room here, you'll need to do so far in advance. In the event that you call for an impromptu stay and they verbally give you an idea that you'll have a room that weekend and reassure you that you're first on the list... you'll need to book a room elsewhere. And don't expect to have a great customer service resolution. read more
