I had a bad experience with the Whipp Team at Cornerstone lending. They charged me points for a non-discounted loan, baited and switched the interest rate, and attempted to charge nearly $5,000 in loan origination fees for a relatively modest loan with great credit. My loan officer also had a bad attitude and lied. I still have her emails to prove it. Do your own research, but I would not trust them based on my own experience. read more

The complex this business is located is absolutely gorgeous! That sets a tone of happiness the second you drive up and get out of your car. The inside of the building is pristine! There are seating areas in the main lobby. The atmosphere is quite calm and peaceful. Bathrooms were easy to locate and very clean. The elevators operate quickly....its only a few floors, but I have been in elevators that took forever to operate with only 2 floors. I was immediately greeted by two genuinely friendly faces the moment I crossed the threshold to the business. I no sooner mentioned what my business there was, and they said my name (excellent pronunciation too) and escorted me to the conference room reserved for our business. The amenities are above excellent and everyone I encountered was helpful and friendly! read more

We have purchased multiple properties over the years. Some closings were more tedious that others. I have to say that our experience dealing with Cornerstone was, by far, the easiest, most expedient closing ever. They were fully prepared, and our closing agent zipped us through everything in about 15 minutes. It couldn't have been any easier. read more

Paul Tyler and his team were exceptional! Purchasing a home is stressful enough and they made it easy and feel stress-free. We could not recommend Paul and his team more!! They were extremely professional, but at the same time friendly and you felt like you'd known them for years! They stayed in constant communication and were willing to explain any questions that we had. Although we didn't have many because they were so informative on each and every step!! We have since recommended Paul and his team to several of our friends. If you are looking for someone to guide you through the home purchasing process, call Paul Tyler!! read more

Thank you to the Steve Daniels team for a seamless home buying process! Everyone at Cornerstone is extremely friendly, personable, and professional! We couldn't have asked for a better mortgage company!! read more

Dominic and his team went above and beyond to make sure our home buying process was not only smooth, but honestly enjoyable! Who would have thought buying a house & going through escrow would be enjoyable?! They understood our situation with my husband exiting the military. If you are a first time homebuyer like us & will be using the VA Loan... rest assured Dominic is your guy! He is former military and knows the process in and out. The process was easy & we signed all documents electrronically (except for the closing docs). If you needed to contact the office, they answered right away and didn't even let the call go to VM. The underwriter called us personally to ask questions about finances. The team was just a joy to work with. They NEVER close late... our realtor told us this. And they stayed true to it! Regardless of anything... they made sure we would meet that day. And trust me some important variables came up that they overcame! The most beautiful thing about working with Dominic & his team were the personal touches. They mailed us a welcome box to our house with packing tape, measuring tape, a permanent marker, and customized labels for our boxes. And with it they sent delicious home made cookies from a popular bakery in OKC. After we closed they sent us a stamp with our Last name initial & address on it. Gorgeous... something you'd order off Etsy. My mom has bought 3 houses and never received this kind of customer service... nothing near it! Overall I couldn't imagine anybody purchasing a house in the OKC area and not using Dominic Dangora. It is your loss if you go with any other lender! read more

Cornerstone Home Lending - Care package Dominic and his team sent a week after we put an offer on our home! So sweet! - Mortgage Lenders Near Me - Edmond, Oklahoma

We were first time home buyers and Sam and his team were so incredibly helpful! They walked us through the process step by step and we're in touch with us for the entire thing. They made it such a painless process and really took a lot of stress off of us. I cannot recommend them enough! read more

In my profession (i.e., professional estate liquidation), I have the opportunity refer everyone from carpenters to mortgage lenders, and from electricians to insurance agents. We at McNeil Liquidations are proud and consistently happy to refer Cornerstone Home Lending whenever one of our clients requires such services as Cornerstone offers. Superb, locally owned company! read more

IF you are working with Cody Hardridge and Rebecca don't expect things to go fast I sent in my paperwork several times a month went by and told them to call if they didn't receive the one paper we were waiting on. Never got a call I called back Two weeks later and they said they still are waiting for one paper so I sent it three ways and told them to call that day if they didn't get it. One week later I see an email saying they are still waiting for the paper. Not worth my time. I called a mother lender they received all my paper in one shot no problems and THEY CALLED me to tell me they received everything. read more

We had the best home buying experience with the Sam Bursch Team at Cornerstone Lending. We were moving to Oklahoma from out of state, and our loan process went smoothly and without any hiccups. I was a first time homebuyer and had heard what a pain the home buying process could be, but I experience none of that. It was so easy and worry free- the team handled everything and prepared us for every step along the way. We love our new home and we're so grateful that we found the Sam Bursch Team. read more

The Cornerstone team was amazing and great to work with. Communication was clear, responses were prompt, and everything was done well in advance of our closing. Definitely recommend Cornerstone! read more

Sam and his team have been working with me for 3 years to buy a home and I finally found the perfect one. The entire team has great communication skills and Sam spent plenty of time on the phone with me several times breaking down the buying process and answering any questions I had. They made the whole process easy. I would definitely recommend him and his team for any services they can provide you. read more

Attempted a loan through this company through the referral of a realtor. Website says they are great with people with special situations. That would be us- self-employed for 15 years. Somehow, even though we nearly had enough money in our bank account to purchase the home we were interested in, and managed to buy a dozen houses in MS, never missing one payment on any of them in 15 years, they couldn't help us. The worst thing, I didn't get the sense that they tried or offered any solutions. So, I suppose if you're a classic 40-hour/week employee, they can help you. But so could probably any bank or mortgage company. read more

Working with Steve Daniels and his team was truly a pleasant experience. Typically financing a home is a grueling process but this team made it extremely simple! They responded to emails and calls immediately and were ALWAYS warm and friendly. Their customer service was top notch!! read more

Cornerstone Home Lending Koenig Team was professional, prompt, responsive, transparent, and just went above and beyond in all aspects of the lending process. The tools that my wife and I had access to made it efficient - it was easy and quick for us to generate pre-qualification letters, upload our documents quickly, and track our loan status convienently. All of our questions and concerns were addressed quickly. The partnerships they also had with our Realtor and a local Insurance company also made it convenient to transition to our new home. We are incredibly grateful to have found a team that cares and truly made the home buying process painless. Will Koenig and team were highly recommended to us and we highly recommend them to anyone looking for home financing. read more

I have worked with Steve and the team at Cornerstone for 2 home purchases, and I would recommend them without hesitation. Steve was always available to answer questions, run numbers, and calm worries! Once we had (a LOW) rate locked in, the rest of the team stepped up and made the process simple and painless. Don't think twice...Steve is the best! read more

Sam Bursch and the team at Cornerstone were outstanding to work with from start to closing! We fell in love with a house and needed to move fast and Sam went out of his way to get us a pre-approval over a weekend, while we were traveling, to secure our new home. We will highly recommend this great company to anyone purchasing a home! read more

Cornerstone, specifically Paul Tyler, Hilary, and their crew made my home buying experience amazing. Paul and Hilary we're extremely patient in explaining the details, answering all of my questions, and being available. I really appreciated the extra details of how I received a weekly progress report, a welcome package, and check-ins to see how I was doing during the entire process. They handled everything from getting the appraisal and title done to turning in necessary documents. I highly recommend this team for any new home buyers! read more

Dominic Dangora and his Cornerstone team are all true professionals. The lending process was smooth and relatively painless. I would advise anyone looking to buy a home to use Cornerstone as their lender. Customer service is unfortunately a low priority for many in the lending business but Cornerstone is a strong exception to that observation. I have recommended many folks in the buying market to use Dominic and Cornerstone, all are extremely happy with the results. read more

It's unfortunate that Paul Tyler's team doesn't have their own page because the reviews on this site do not accurately reflect the work each individual team does. Below is my standard comment about Paul and his team, but I want to add to it to address some of the other reviews. Paul Tyler and his team are the epitome of professional and passionate. You can tell that each and every person we interacted with loves what they do and do it with excellence. We got to our closing date and I kept thinking, "Surely it can't be this easy!" But it was! Paul and Hilary were a pleasure to work with and kept us informed at each step of the process...and were able to get us closed in less than a month! Definitely recommend!! Paul was very upfront with how the loan process works and what happens after closing. The purchase of a home is public record, so yes, we've been getting notice after notice from other companies wanting us to insure our mortgage, etc., and in six months we'll get a whole new round of solicitations to refinance. That's just how it works! That does not mean that Cornerstone has sold our info to anyone. We also had four home security companies at our door within four days of closing. Que sera sera. I've also had the pleasure of getting to know Paul outside of his professional capacity as a volunteer in the community and know him to be a person of integrity and deep commitment to Oklahoma City. You won't be disappointed with Paul Tyler's team! read more

Steve Daniels and his team at Cornerstone Home Lending made our experience absolutely seamless. They sent reminders when we needed them, and explained everything fully. We met with Heather & her team before we were completely ready to make our purchase & they helped set up a game plan for us. The plan they helped us make really made it possible to find our dream house! They are quick to respond, have a great team on board, and always willing to help. They happily answered all of our questions whether big or small. Once it came time to put an offer in we were prepared & the rest of the process was so seamless. There was zero headache in the buying & selling process!! I highly recommend them!! read more

Heather Bomar & team were quick, efficient, communicative and their attention to detail was impeccable, everything a newly married couple look for in their first purchase of buying a house together. Heather & her team went to great lengths to make every step run as smoothly as possible from start to finish. We managed to not only close in a month and on time thanks to the team we managed to do it as stress free as possible. We cannot express enough the professionalism that came across the table and all the personal touches that were given throughout the process. Every detail from A-Z was communicated clearly even with the curve balls that were presented they handled it like pros! We thank Cornerstone & Heather Bomar's team immensely and couldn't be happier with the choice we made. All the Best, The Ealy Family read more

I truly appreciate the Cornerstone Home Lending group. They had me moved within a very short time. It was a bit confusing at times, and there was quite a bit of miscommunication in my opinion. Buying my first house was a LOOONG process (for outside reasons) but The Dangora Team was amazing. Ashley C. went above and beyond to help me. I was never in the dark about anything going on. My wife & I recently asked Cody Hardridge, Senior Mortgage Advisor with Cornerstone Home Lending, Inc and his team, Tye Richardson, Noah Pena & Talia Sperry, to assist us with a home refinance. Cody had helped us a few years back with new home mortgage. We remembered that event and how well the process happened, so we asked for Cody's assistance again. His team promptly moved out setting up our appraisal, working with the underwriters, and doing all the various detailed tasks that needed to be completed for our loan approval. From start to finish his team was amazing...they kept us informed, made sure all items on the "checklist" were completed, and got us to closing quickly. We highly recommend the Hardridge Team for your mortgage or refinancing needs. read more

Had an AMAZING experience with the Cornerstone Steve Daniels team!! Steve, Vicki, and Kaitlyn were all amazing and were able to turn our situation with a previous lender into a win! Two weeks before closing our previous lender denied us for a grant we were hoping to get. Cornerstone came to our rescue and got us to close on time (even earlier than our previous lender was able to) and in just two weeks!! I can't think of a single complaint I would have for Cornerstone. Thank you for getting our family our new home! read more

Years ago, when purchasing my first home, I was referred to the Hines team by my realtor. Because of their outstanding service during this initial loan, I knew exactly who I wanted to service my loans going forward. Recently, I've had the pleasure of working with their team again and I can testify that their team and service has only gotten better with time! Despite my busy schedule, I had no problems with the process. The Hines team made it extremely simple to complete the needed paperwork no matter where I happened to be. Throughout the process, the team kept me up to date on the progress of my loan as it transitioned through underwriting with weekly email updates. I owe the entire team: Chris, Marcie, Sarah, and Thomas a huge "thank you" for making the loan processing the easiest part of the home buying experience. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a new home and I can't wait to work with their team again in the future. read more

I was very disappointed with how our loan application was handled. My husband is a pharmacist and is employed for a company via a contract. He also has a part time job for a company that he has worked with for 20 years. After having given us a prequalification letter, they walked it back because they wouldn't be able to sell our loan since my husband is a contract employee. We make good money, we have excellent credit, and they refused to look at that just because they couldn't differentiate between a contract employee and a temporary employee. I was able secure a loan through our bank and they didn't bat an eye at his employment. Unfortunately, we lost out on the house we had our hearts set on because Steve Daniels' team was more worried about how quickly the could sell our loan and not the people they would have been providing the loan to. So thank you for making us miss out on an opportunity to live in the neighborhood my parents live in. I can't tell you how frustrating you made this entire process. read more

Based on our pre-approval, Cornerstone quoted us 4 or 5 different closing options, with varying closing costs and interest rates; we chose one. We worked with Sam Bursch's team. A few months later we closed at a couple of interest points lower than the quote, and with slightly lower closing costs. That is pretty accurate and transparent. No bait and switch or high pressure sales techniques. The team was consistent and competent. They handle the process systematically so we always knew what to expect. At times it was stressful, so little miscommunications and minute details seemed like a huge deal. But they were always professional, calm, and available to communicate. Ultimately, they're just good at their jobs, which is all that matters. We worked with a couple of other lenders, but found them either too high pressured and dishonest, or unavailable. Ultimately, we went with Cornerstone for those reasons. That is what they mean when they say that they are "local." They have a local reputation to protect, and don't try aggressive sales tactics. In fact, their estimates were a little high, which I much prefer over some of the other lenders false promises. Additionally, they are local in a more traditional sense - when you call or email l, someone always answers, etc. The lending process was not fun in general, but Cornerstone makes it as low-key and tolerable as possible. They said they were going to do something, and then they did it. Good for their word. Rare breed in the lending industry. Five stars. read more

There is no excuse not to work with Cornerstone Home Lending. My wife and I worked with them eight years ago on our first home purchase and again recently on our sale and new purchase. Sam Bursch and his team are the absolute best, both in our personal experience and in the flood of referrals and reminders from realtors, friends and family members who had been through similar transactions recently. Everybody will tell you to use Sam because they have a level of personal detail and attention, a neurotic sense of detail and very careful expectations management skills - you will know what you're getting, what the worst-case scenarios are and what to look out for with your realtor, your home or your costs.
