If you are looking for coffee before service starts, it's available in the front lobby. Inside the sanctuary, there are plenty of seats that are angled to allow a good view of the stage. The pastor and staff are all so friendly and are quick to greet you with a smile and a warm handshake when you walk into church. Service starts on time with the worship/singing time. It lasts for about 30 minutes. The worship team is awesome with guitar, bass, keyboard, and drums. The music is good but I think that maybe worship time is a bit long. The pastor's sermon is good and it seems like for some people, if a sermon goes too long, that becomes a dealbreaker. I don't mind long sermons if the message is good and easy to listen to. I don't have a problem with the length of the sermon. All told, it was about 1 hour 15 minutes from start to end of the service. What I do notice is that a lot of people show up late, after service has started. For me, I always get to church before service starts because I don't want to be that guy that walks in late. I guess, better late than never when it comes to going to church, right? I really don't have anything bad to say. It's a nice church to go to and we're still debating on whether we want to call this church home. Definitely one of the better churches that we've attended on a regular basis.

They remember you by name which is not something I am used to as I commonly attended "mega churches." I feel the Holy Spirit here and I love the way the Pastor leads the service -- its scripture soaked and he even adds in some history lessons which I love. I have learned a lot and have grown closer to God (most importantly). I have invited several people to church and they all say the same thing. We found our church home and we couldn't be happier!

I live in Citrus Heights and have been attending the Family Church of Roseville for about five years. Pastor Matt Oliver and the staff are outstanding. I had been attending the standard "religious" church for years, was in Stephen Ministry for a while and I have learned more about the teachings of Christ than ever before. Matt delivers meaningful scriptures alive in today's environment. He is very articulate and "steps in" the community like no other. He is right on and brings the Knowledge of the Bible into our lives of today. He is like no other Minister or Pastor that I have heard. Sure, sometimes he gets some political satire in as it has been evident throughout history of governmental intrusions not only in our private lives but into our faith. He lives life and is not afraid to step into it and proclaim the Glory of God in all things. Although (in my opinion) the worship music is too loud most of the time and rarely get into some of the old time Gospels songs, which I love and miss, it seems to bring the Spirit of the Lord into the church as you can feel it moving about. It is definitely charismatic.
