First up is the atmosphere: this is not your run of the mill fit club largely due to its bright environs (the floor to ceiling windows make up much of the wall space here); It's stylish, has decor, live plants which make it all seem very inviting. It is uber clean inside, no off aromas like some 24 hour place I know that brags about not being judgmental, but I wish they judged the cleanliness and aromas in their gyms. Anyway, there is a swimming pool (kept at a really comforting temperature) that also serves for aquatic exercise class, and some physical therapy sessions. The land type offerings include state-of-the-art, brand new and well maintained (think cleanliness here) equipment (there seems to be something for everyone with respect to equipment). Finally the people who work here are stellar in my estimation. They are kind, relaxed, professional, and the list could go on and on. It's just really un empty place. I'm so glad that I found it. The only downside if there could be one would be the hours that they are opened because it's basically 7 AM to 6 PM which can be somewhat limited for from some people's perspective. No biggie for me. We had a negative experience with a different doula/photographer at our first birth so I wanted to be extremely meticulous with our doula choice the second time around. I could tell from our first interview that Heather was exactly what we were looking for. She put both me and my husband at ease with her calm presence and provided unbiased feedback when discussing birth wishes. We moved to Vermont in the middle of my pregnancy and Heather was an incredible resource for prenatal support and provider recommendations in the area. She went above and beyond in providing emotional support and evidence based advice as my due date approached (dragging into week 41) and was always reliable with communication. Her birth support was everything we'd hoped for and far more. She was a calming presence and brought levity to the room. She was an excellent guide for my husband to help physically and emotionally support me. When things weren't quite going to plan she helped communicate options and made sure I consented to every step of the birth process. She had a gift for being a respectful yet firm advocate for our wishes with our birth team. I can't even list all the small touches she provided: braiding and clipping loose hair out of my face, a foot massage to take my mind off contractions, snack runs, extra blankets, it was incredible. She truly seemed to anticipate needs like she was reading my mind, it was MAGIC. Heather's photography speaks for itself. Looking back at my photos feels like stepping into that night. She captures the crazy moments that can only happen in the delivery room (being hand fed a pb&J while holding my brand new baby and getting stitched up by the midwives) I'm so grateful she captured moments I never would have been able to witness while in the thick of labor and delivery. Birth photography is an investment but her results are truly priceless. I cannot recommend Heather's services enough, she is everything you could want in a doula and so much more. On top of being an incredible doula and photographer she is also an incredible, kind, and hilarious person who you will enjoy spending hours with during your birth process. Hire her for all the things, you will be so grateful you did!

It all started almost 2 years ago, with the excellent care from the receptionists who answered the phone who are always willing to help me scheduling appointments or rescheduling, lol, you know when life happens. They have always made me feel like I am being heard with my request!! Then when aids call my mom's name they're right there to assist her and have patience and understanding of her conditions. They are kind as they go about their duties to get my mom's chart and vitals ready for the doctor, even if she repeats herself 20 times in 10 minutes!!! Then comes in Dr. Therese Ray! - she's a GOD send to our family and I (we) feel lucky that she's not overwhelmed if there are 1,2, or sometimes 3 in the room asking questions lol. My mom's condition ranges from her heart, diabetes, Dementia etc.,etc.. Dr. Ray is honest and patient, she understands my mom's needs and I feel so confident in every decision she has recommended - from treatment plans, medications, and for the truth and about some hard issues ahead.
