I've had two car loans with them so far…read more Their locations look nice and professional, and they always have a loan officer to talk to me even without an appointment. They've worked with me on cars that were a little too old to qualify for a loan "by the rules," and as long as it's a great car, they OK'd it. I didn't end up buying that car, but I was still impressed they didn't give me hassle and said "yes" in 10 minutes flat. Their rates are better than anything else I have seen, save maybe special manufacturer promos at 0.99%. Paperwork is kept to a minimum and fast. I've never spent longer than half an hour. I have no reason to go anywhere else. I'll keep financing cars through them for as long as I live in the Springfield area.

HCU is the BEST banking center in the Pioneer Valley and was the key to my recent home purchase…read more The mortgage team, including B. Risler and J Dedeurwaerder, provided prompt, knowledgeable service and went above and beyond to assist me. When the deadline hit to submit offers on a house, it was ONLY the HCU Team that answered the phone on a Sunday night! No other competitors' lender responded so because of HCU's commitment, I got the house! They made every step of the process clear and well-communicated so I felt the best prepared to make highly-competitive offers. In this housing market you need a partner like HCU backing you up.

A cold uninviting place. Opened a few accounts there and had to close them shortly thereafter…read more Can't even walk in lobby without permission and being advised of their rules and procedures. Once inside and waiting in designated area witnessed elderly lady struggling with a walking cane approach teller window only to be turned away because she forgot her mask in car. Instead of assisting her they made her return with her mask on. Completely unacceptable. Approached a financier regarding future business with many financial documents as collateral as requested. Instead of welcoming my business was given several ultimatums and directives and instructed to make another appointment for further assistance. I don't play by bank rules and expect to be treated with respect, not a possession. Instead of insulting myself in their presence took my accounts and business to People's bank where I was welcomed with open arms and quick customer service. Instead of rules, restrictions and regulations they should concentrate more on customer service and a creating a pleasant atmosphere.
