The coffee at this location is hot, abundant and routinely brewed and refilled. It sells news, chili, soda, beer, hot dogs, ice cream, milk shakes, chips, food, house goods, frozen goods, plates, tea, sandwiches, PBJs, Ramen, snacks, candy, milk and pizza. The staff is a pretty well-established 50-50 mix of young and old and all of the attendants reinforce each other, especially during lunch and evening hours when there is a rush. I don't like writing bad reviews…read more In fact I go out of my way to acknowledge outstanding customer service because I feel it important. On the other hand, I think it's also important to let other people know when a business/franchise location shows blatant disregard for the fundamentals of customer service, is dishonest or who has a pattern of practice outside any business model, including internal company policy. Delmar Speedway surpasses the communities lowest expectations by hiring dishonest and lazy clerks and management. 25-30min before 10pm you can expect the lights outside to be off, inside to be off/dimmed in an effort to discourage patrons. This evening was particularly rediclious as the moment I walked in the clerk (Derek) stated that he had made a drop and will only accept debit cards. Not cards in general, debit cards. I confirmed I wanted to use the remainder of my fuel card and then refill card with cash per usual. I was rudely denied service. If this was a one off, I'd think nothing of it but it has become the norm all too often. I purchase roughly $200-$300 in fuel weekly for my buisness and to be denied service during open hours is unacceptable. From being shortchanged on multiple occasions to being denied from making a cash deposit on my fuel card, or any cash purchase this evening, I will be taking my business elsewhere.
