It was very chill. They have 2 locations and this one is the more 'lax version off the side of a road. Their other locations is in Chilliwack which is more established as a restaurant type. After talking to the guy at the till, he mentioned that they switch flavours every thursday. That was intriguing and made this place more interesting. I guess it's a place I'll have to come back to time to time. This place is more known for their sours. I have to agree. The strong blueberry one was really good. It was packed with flavour, thanks to the blueberries. Some of the other fruit sours were a bit of a miss. I had high expectations for the strawberry one but didn't really get strawberry unless I thought about it... My fave thing about their flights are the drink cards that go behind each flight glass. It was a nice touch to be reminded of what you got and read the vision behind the drink. (Almost wish the photos weren't of the cans but more of a moodboard to convey the flavour's vibe).

The other restaurants couldn't even offer GF, so we skipped them, but we wandered here for a drink. We were pleasantly surprised by the staff, who were so friendly, a large selection of drinks, and a menu that our waitress was able to walk through for gluten free options. Yay. It is a traditional hotel seating area. It's loud, it's fairly unorganized, and it's busy so you wait a while. The chairs aren't all that comfy. But the drinks make up for it and like I said, gluten free options were key for me. The food is traditional pub fare mostly, with a few full size options. They are fairly greasy and cooked at the restaurant next door, so the poor waitress has to go pick them up and carry them over in big covered platters. They hit the spot though and sometimes that's all it takes.

My aunt and mom both got steaks and I just got garlic butter prawns because I knew I was going to end up on food clean-up duty. The garlic butter prawns with ciabatta garlic bread was absolutely delectable!! I honestly wasn't expecting such good food in a hotel restaurant. They were slathered in butter (lol), and it was seasoned perfectly. I wish there was more bread to go with it though. The steaks were cooked perfectly medium rare for my soft mouth and were covered in a pool of a delicious sauce reduction. The bed of mashed potatoes were perfectly smooth and went well with the steak. The vegetables were well-cooked, but pretty plain (the norm for western restaurants). There was a good variety of vegetables though, which I enjoyed a lot! Unfortunately, I don't see the steak on their most recent online menu anymore. It definitely needs to be brought back! Service was impeccable, we were well taken care of by our server. Ambience is typical hotel restaurant vibes--casual-fancy.

The place apparently has been around for over 10 years and anyone I talk to in Chilliwack has not heard of it.
