The helper who brought my case of wine was great, and deserved his $500 peso tip! I was thrilled to be able to purchase a case of Champbrulé, white sparkling wine from Mexico's Valle de Guadelupe. It's the second most popular wine from that appelation, and it was only $11USD per bottle. Vinos América does not give case discounts. All in all this place is great! So why only 4 stars? Really rude, actually hostile and snarly, guy at the front. I got his name, but I'll leave it out. Coming from the US in January 2026, it's possible that it wasn't me, it was my country's embarrassing President

I can personally vouch for the professionalism of this business, and I will happy to patronize them in the future! Update: The store's General Manager contacted me, and is getting me a refund for the difference in the overcharge. After dealing with and speaking to several store employees, I do believe this was an honest mistake, as everyone was sincerely apologetic and genuine in their desire to help me out. Thank you to everyone at La Play Not happy with this place. I purchased 750 ml bottle of tequila, 750 ml of Cuervo Margarita Mix, 980 ml of Bacardi, and 1 ltr of Salamandra. Total was $784 Pesos. The clerk submitted the charge to my MasterCard as $784.00 U.S dollars! I'm in the process of trying to get this fixed, but buyer beware! Maybe it was an honest mistake, and I'll update this review with the results. For now, watch your transactions like a hawk.

Nice 100% Agave Tequilla shop off the Malecon that has a large selection of well known and lesser…read moreknown Boutique tequila's. Similar to pretty much all the other tequila shops in Puerto Vallarta they have free tastings 7 days a week which you definitely should experience if you like Tequila. My favorites are the higher end Boutique tequila's which I would liken to drinking Cognac and are definitely meant for sipping straight up and not mixing/diluting with other liquors/juices/drinks. In particular, Uruza and Adictivo which you will struggle to find in the US, go down so smooth and definitely need to be tried whether you like Tequila or not. The one thing of note for all these shops is that the prices are all over the map and start high where you need to negotiate them down. You really need to negotiate at multiple shops to understand the baseline for lowest price, than if you are like, go into the final shop and offer a price of $10 lower to go for the gold. More often than not you will get a lower counter price. All part of the fun of buying Tequilla in Puerto Vallarta.
