The wind was lovely and it wasn't raining and the bench was in the shade so I got to sit for a good long while. I popped in my earbuds and listened to an audiobook and it was peaceful bliss. There are public bathrooms but they are paid so I avoided them. There are lots of benches and trash cans around so the park is fairly clean. Once you move away from the playground there aren't too many children and it's not too noisy, so it's the perfect place to relax for a bit.

However, given that it is the only water park we could find in Ireland (outside of Dublin), it was great for a several hour activity...and our kids loved it. It is clean, staff is outstandingly friendly and helpful, and the facilities are well maintained. They have one large wading pool (with a small "river cruise" around the outer edge, as well as wave machine and small slides for kids), as well as two large (fun and fast) slides that circle around the building. It is worth a visit if you have kids and is a perfect adventure for a couple hours. Do not expect vast and various slides! It is simple, but fun. A good 3/4 star attraction.

Having done a few escape rooms at home in Chicago I was excited to try this one. We escaped 'The Black Valley' room and it was such a fun challenge. The room was very well put together with such an entertaining Irish twist to what we are use too. The puzzles were challenging and really get the mind going but we were well guided through by our host Frank. Both Phillip and Frank (the owners) were very friendly to talk too after we finished and told us how they thought up this original idea. They also had great suggestions for where we could unwind for a few drinks after the mental challenge which was much appreciated! Cheers guys!
