Great corner liquor store supporting the local Akron area. Employees mind their own business. Decent little wine selection, lots of bourbon/whiskey, and the prices aren't any worse than the grocery store. Just get in and get out it's akron after all. They also have long incense sticks! read more

Watch out for the markup. Vodka Bottle will say $15 and before you know it you paid $17. Happened to me and when I went back in to complain they made up some bs credit card charge. Very deceitful and shady. You feel disgusted just dealing with them. Also they don't have a good selection. Drive a few more miles to acme #1 or silver spirits. You won't feel like you have been had. read more

This store is on a busy corner and i don't like that but there is a traffic light. The one younger owner or store clerk seems to have a attitude, or maybe he was just having a bad day; I don't know but I doubt it, more that likely the ATTITUDE! When I asked him a question he either blew me off or gave me a answer that was a JUST MADE UP LIE. Next, after he made up 1 lie then he started speaking to the other older guy in another language and pointing and gesturing in the area of the $200 bottle of scotch that he had just told me the lie about. THE OWNER WAS NOT HELPFUL! This is a just average corner store. The store was clean and didn't have the normal odor that these types of corner stores normally have. They cash pay checks for a fee. Because of the above reasons this will not be my 1st, 2nd, or 3rd choice of liquor store in the area. SILVER SPIRITS, LEPRECHAUNS are a bit down the road but ARE MUCH BETTER STORES. cork & brew is not even in the same class. A closer and more comparable store is Express liquor on Copley Rd. After this experience I did buy a $100 bottle from them, because I needed a drink! read more

Ms. J, This store get's no stars! I see what you all mean about coming to this store. I am from out of town and I only went to this store because my cuzo suggested for us to go there to by some 100 proof whiskey. She said it was the smoothest drink in the whiskey family. However, this is the only store that carried this particular drink . Well, we went in and found the drink I wanted, no doubt it cost me $60 bucks. Not a problem, the problem came in when we left the store I put the whole bottle still in the bag in the armrest of my Honda, little did I know the bottle was leaking by the time we got back to my cuzo home, so before I left town I went back and tried to exchange the bottle for a closed bottle and the refused, no refund, no exception. My self being a strong black women I pride my self on keeping my cool. No not this time I said with covid be out here you would sell me an open bottle and you know I was just her 20 mins ago. I almost left the bottle and my monies and said f*** it. Heck no I was not gone do that, so I snatched the open sealed bottle up. Said a few more choice ebonics words and left the store mad as hell. If I should ever go in that establishment again I will be sure to turn the bottle that anyone I am with to turn there bottle upside down to make sure it is not leaking as they suggested. I can guarantee that I will tell who ever I might be with make sure you turn the bottle upside right, down up, shake it from left to right and then say "hey this one is good and tight and not open." read more

Dirty, I pulled in at rush hour. The other reviews are correct. This place looks like it is robbed twice daily. It reminds me of what a liqor store would look like in a post apocalyptic world like Fallout, Mad Max, or Walking Dead. Also, since they are probably robbed so often, all the liquor is behind a counter, so if you like to window shop, this isn't the place. Get in place your order and get out before you get mugged. This is a great liquor store in the heart of Akron. The other people complaining need to stick to the grocery store liquor stores. The owners are very nice and they have a very nice selection or some harder to find bourbon/whiskeys. read more

My friend specifically ordered a double vodka shot in a short glass but received it in a tall glass, therefore watering down the drink. As for food, we shared the marinated feta appetizer and the charcuterie board. Both were good but the charcuterie only had one serving of meat (salami) and the rest were olives, peppers, cheese and grapes. For $19, we were expecting a little more. One of the cheeses, the largest portion, was a very spicy pepper cheese that none of us really enjoyed. The dip was very good - no complaints. We also ordered three pizzas. Our friend got the chicken pesto which he said was ok but nothing great. My husband got the short rib which he enjoyed. I did a make your own, which had literally no flavor at all. The crust was good but that was about it. I suppose that's my fault for picking the toppings but I thought it would taste better than it was. As for service - it was very slow and they were very inattentive. I wouldn't come back here or recommend it. I think as a restaurant that advertises for its drinks and pizza, both were lacking.

Ultimately, I chose to get the Mexican cake popsicle flavor which was so smooth and creamy and milky and then crunchy with Mexican chocolate slabs inside! It was very refreshing, unique, and not very expensive at 3 bucks. My tacos were saved for later (and tasted delicious a couple hours later at home) but I ate the sopes at the restaurant. It was generously piled with carne asada and the corn pancake was 1000/10! I will absolutely order sopes again! For $16.50, I had a lot of food, a nice treat, and great company. I know most liquor stores are indistinguishable from one another, but I rate them based on my likelihood to get stabbed and/or walk in on a robbery in progress. Out of five, five being a heavily guarded liquor vault inside my grandmother's house and one being ransacked by a continuous mob of shady characters with automatic weapons, this place is a two for sure. Every time I go in here, the first thing I notice is the very exposed warehouse which reminds me of every kidnappers hideout in kidnapping movies. Beyond that, the shelves have a strange mix of cheap liquor I have never heard of or wish to drink and "party snacks." I've never really considered chewing gum to be a snack, but what do I know? If you want to get your liquor while feeling the thrill of danger, this is your place. If you want to find what you were looking for in a regular, moderately robbery possible location, there are plenty of other places just around the corner. read more
