In fact, the only Woodchuck they do carry is Amber and Raspberry (side note: why is it impossible to fund Woodchuck Pear around here?!). I can get my go-ton wine (Sutter Home Moscato) for $5, so I really can't complain. Their beer selection definitely focuses on big-scale domestics, but they have a fair smattering of smaller breweries represented. I've never purchased liquor here, but the selection seems to cover all of the bases. One thing I do like about this place is the staff. They're always very friendly and helpful. On my quest for Woodchuck Fall, one of the workers said he'd make a special order for me and call when it arrives. I'll be sure to let you know if that actually happens. I'm hopeful. (EDIT: I never received a call, and when I stopped in, they told me that their distributor is completely out of the Fall variety. However, they were nice enough to open their Woodchuck variety packs to see if any contained the Fall cider and they did! YAY!) I am always polite, and you would be hard-pressed to find a more predictable, low-maintenance customer--I buy the same thing almost every time and end the transaction with "thank you" and drive away. The weekday/morning cashier with the dark hair is quick and efficient, but she is also consistently rude. She seems annoyed if I ask even the most basic question, which I rarely do. I understand that people who work with the public frequently deal with other difficult people. But taking that frustration out on polite, long-term regular customers is just bad business. I was willing to overlook the attitude for a very long time, but after ten years of this, I'll be going elsewhere.

They would also have a food table of snacks like meatballs, cheese and crackers, fruit, etc. They fell off my "wine radar," but in July we were driving by. I stopped in to buy some wine and inquired about their wine tastings. I found out that they have wine tastings Sept-May, every Friday, from 4:30-7pm, for $12. I stopped in for their first fall tasting last night at 6:10pm. They had 5 wines (bottle prices were: two $10, two $20 and one $50). I work in Akron till 5, don't get home till 5:45, so 6:10 was the earliest I could ge there. However, even with 50 minutes left (1/3 of their tasting session), they had no food left. There had been meatballs, cheese and crackers and fruit. For all of you that regularly go to wine tastings, each of their 5 pours were half the size of Top Shelf Liquor's pours (Top Shelf has Friday 5-7 wine tastings). It ended up being $14 vs. Top Shelf's $5. So due to the small pours and high price and no food left, I won't be back. Plus when I went to pay, the register said $14.91, but they said it would be $15.90 something. I said tax on $14 is less than $1, so that was incorrect. He still said it was $15.90. Then after calculating 6.5% manually on $14 on a calculator and the result being 91, he said it was $14.91. So they tried to overcharge me twice. At least we had a nice time at a friend's house drinking wine afterwards.
