I stopped in to the store on Friday and was looking for a matte black lock and info on installation. I had already purchased a new knob when it occurred to me I'm not all that handy. The very nice gentleman that helped me (sorry I can't recall his name) was very helpful. He gave me the rundown on pricing and installation, including the knob I had already purchased. I was ready to buy! To my surprise, he told me Monday was the soonest they could get someone out to me. I was shocked, as Monday was a holiday and I was sure I'd wait about a week, before they could get to me. I booked the 10-12 window and was on my way. Jim, the installer/locksmith called (as I was told he would) and informed me that he had a cancellation and could come at 9:15am if I'd like. I did like and Jim was at my door right on time. Jim made quick work of the installation and then VACUUM and SWEPT my landing and front steps!! He was in and out in just under an hour, no fuss, no muss!! And, on my second visit, the man cut the keys in nearly the blink of an eye - very impressive skills, yo! Service, by three different people over three visits, was courteous each time. On my most recent visit, the older woman who made my keys had a sweet dog who followed her around and 'talked" to her (barked) while her owner worked, so it's cool that they are dog people. (My dog, Rosie-Roo, says that's one lucky dog, and wishes her owner could take her to work.) They operate in a space formerly occupied by Rogers Paint & Hardware for many years. The place hasn't changed much in appearance, both inside and out. It seems like they just re-arranged some shelves and dividers, as it still has that old-time hardware store feel. There are some interesting displays of locks; door hardware; and key accessories. I can't give them 5 stars, mainly because they are closed on Saturdays. They are only open weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.; those hours are not really convenient for people who work full time during the week. Also, they do NOT offer 24-hour emergency locksmith service, as far as I can tell. So, as long as you have a door, lock or key issue or need during regular business hours, you're in good hands. If you have a need outside of regular business hours, you'll have to look elsewhere.

I lost my only car key in a moment of pregnancy-brain and they were able to make me two new ones at a really fair price. And they put the work in too....no joke. First round of keys wouldn't work, second round with the alt. Coding didn't either. Greg had me bring in my trunk lock to fasten the third round and they work like a charm. They were so willing to go above and beyond, and never once tried to pressure me into the more expensive options like on-site creation (aka coming to my car) or the remote key option... nor did they charge me more for all the additional leg work. Price quoted was price paid. Next time I need anything key/lock related I'm definitely coming back.
