We love Corinas and are so pleased with the new owners (I believe for over a year)? We are in Brownwood once a year for a conference and make a point to eat her at least once. The food is super good and affordably priced. Love the salsa it has a nice kick to it. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Hope to see you guys next year! read more

Great food made from scratch! Evenings can get busy but it is worth that wait. Parking is plentiful. The wait staff is very friendly. Love the warm chips and the salsa has a good bite to it. read more

Your local small town mexican resturant. a little on the pricier side but the portions are big. yummy but took a while to come out. hope it was fresh. would eat here again. read more

Good food. Good service. We will eat there again the next time we are out that way fishing.

This is typical Tex-Mex food. My wife and I would eat her often when we were first married. Things haven't changed much since then aside from the prices. The amount of food was very generous. Cheese and onion enchiladas were great.... Chile relleno was average. The meat inside the pepper tasted slightly burnt but it wasn't bad. Beef enchiladas were great. By far the best thing ordered was the combination fajitas. There was enough for three people and the flavor was very good. Will definitely order the fajitas next time we eat here. read more

I've called 5 times and no answer. Sent to a generic voicemail message. Dovthry not take phone orders? What a shame. Guess those who can't dine In don't need to eat. I guess I'll call in an order from somewhere in town. read more

Staff was nice, food not so much. We ordered a chimichanga, supposed to have shredded beef, no beef. I wanted cheddar cheese on top, they charged $4.15 for a sprinkle of cheese. Even the coke tasted bad. read more

The food was barely tolerable. The sauce that covered most items was not good at all. The prices are not listed in the menu. So the shock comes after you have eaten your meal. It was way over priced. The only good thing was the staff are very nice and attentive. read more

We ordered from Corina's after a day of traveling. We were exhausted and they accommodated us with curbside. The lady that brought the order out was so sweet and thoughtful! We were staying at a hotel close to there and asked for ice and utensils. I asked her name because she was just over the top. I think she said Hailey. The food was delicious, my husband and I shared the deluxe dinner and couldn't finish it even though we were starving. I'd highly recommend Corina's. And Hailey was just amazing! read more

We always only get the chicken strips to go. They are always fresh and hot and delicious and ready when we get there. The service is fantastic, wait staff is friendly, and it's never too loud. There is enough parking. We use the gravy for biscuits and gravy the next morning. read more

Good food with friendly atmosphere. Large portions. Speciality is Mexican food. I eat there often.

Food is okay, not really Mexican is more like Tex-Mex. If you are hungry definitely is a good place to eat. But if you are looking real Mexican food this is not the place. Best dish is definitely their beef fajitas. Prices are okay. I will continue ordering from here. read more

Did a call in order we had to wait over an hour and a half was charged 65.95 for two dinners will never eat there again you girls was rude need to be fired food was not all that good for 65.95 Beef Enchiladas tamale dinner read more

They have some of the rudest wait staff I have ever encountered. I stood at register waiting on my call in order for over 12 minutes as numerous staff members walked past me without saying a word. Then was told the cook decided he couldn't fix my meal AFTER I called it in and drove to pick it up. read more

Corina's closes at 9pm. Do not bother calling in a to-go order after 8. They will not answer the phone. Drove there and was there about 8:25. Waited for over an hour for the order. Apparently, they were trying to make a statement to NEVER place a to-go order after 8pm. Prices have gone up considerably. The so-called Mexican food is terrible. Chicken strips, hamburgers, and steak fingers are very good. The last time we went, at least 5 tables came in after us. When the wait person waited on 3 of them before us, we got up and left and have not been back. Will only go back if we are desperate. read more

Food was disgusting there's nothing Mexican about this place it's just filled with stereotype decorations and flavorless food old mashed rice and it's way too over priced do not listen to any "good" reviews it's all lies or people that have never tasted real Tex mex or Mexican food ever. read more

Best salsa and chips. Always a must when I am in town. Reasonably priced great tasting food whether you want American or Mexican.

My elderly grandpa took us here for dinner, thinking it would be nice for the four of us. The prices were not listed on the menu, and they still claim that it's the same owners that it's been since 1988. That is a lie, it's a new owner. My meal came with optional rice and beans, and when I asked the waitress if I could do a dinner salad instead, she didn't tell me it would be a $4.81 up charge. We were shocked when we received the bill and my mom's taco salad with chicken fajita meat was $22.95. For the four of us to eat a substandard meal with all of us ordering water, it was over $85, not including the tip. The only good thing I can say is that the waitresses were nice and attentive. read more

I've been going to Corina's since it opened with Harry. The best waitress they have is Ms. Patty. She's is the best Waitress that has ever taken care of us. read more

Absolutely terrible. There is nothing special about this place, the hot sauce is ok but the rice is always overcooked and the food taste like what people who never ate Mexican would think Mexican food is read more

Over priced food with little resemblance to Tex-Mex. I wouldn't feed this crap to my worst enemy.

If you actually want service GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! We ended up getting up and leaving because the waitress said someone would be back and never came. I'll never go back, ever! The restaurant wasn't even that busy. Seriously, the worst service I have ever experienced. read more

I love Corina's and so does my entire extended family. My grandparents lived close by and would go there two or three times a week for about ten years before they passed away. They were treated like family here. Anytime any of us grandkids came to visit we had to go at least once during our visit and I make sure to go still anytime I'm in the area. The service is great and food is delicious / an incredible bang for your buck. It's Tex-Mex which is my favorite but I understand it's not everyone's cup of tea. I highly recommend the beef street tacos and it's enough food for two meals. All the portions are large. If your not feeling Mexican food, they have other options, and their burgers are fantastic. The guacamole enchiladas are also a must to try. read more

I downloaded the Yelp App just so I could give this place a review. If you want authentic Mexican food, this is the place to come! It's way out next to the lake but worth the drive. "Mom n Pop" feel with great food. The waitress was really nice even when we had 4 adults and 6 kids taking three tables. The only reason for 4 stars and not 5 is that it was BYOB... which is awesome if we would have known (not from here). BUT, there's a Dollar General 720 feet away so we made the short trip and grabbed a 12 pack and got stuffed. Highly recommend! read more

We have been sitting here waiting for someone to come to our table to service us and get tea, 2 pies to go and to go plate for 30 minutes...finally my husband went to get someone! It's not even that crowded. After we got our food, we had to sit and wait for utensils to eat with for about 10 minutes, so food just sitting getting cold! Then we finally get our pies to go and she brings them out on plate! We told her to go! We have wasted so much time just waiting read more

I love their cheese enchiladas! They also have good queso. The waitstaff are very friendly and attentive. We have been here in person and gotten to go as well. I definitely recommend. read more

Food is hot, fresh and decent. Best thing on the menu is their catfish or mY favorite item from here is the chili releno plate. They give you plenty of chips and salsa. Guacamole is good. Staff is pleasant. read more

NOTE: The map is wrong. This place isn't even close to 4th Street or 377. IT's right next to the lake beside the Feather Bay area. I submitted a note to Yelp to try to fix that. For Mexican food in the area, Corina's is the best we've had. Prices are low and the food was pretty good for the area. The salsa was thick but had no chunks. It was a mixture of tomato and chili powder. Not bad! We added a little salt and lime to give it a little extra flavor. We had the Deluxe Dinner: a bean chalupa, one enchilada, a chili relleno with beans and rice. Everything came covered in boiling melted cheese and for me, that was kinda gross. My wife, however, likes everything covered in cheese. There seemed to be some excess grease pooling under my taco and it took a very long time to cool, and wasn't very tasty. The chili relleno was battered and fried to a crispy brown. The inside was filled with some sort of corn and cheese mixture. It was spicy, and that's what most Brownwood area Mexican food is missing! Only thing missing is booze. We're way too used to Austin and having alcohol with almost every meal. read more

Its okay, most of it is frozen food they have reheated. Don't get the chile relleno or the chimichanga. Chicken enchiladas are okay and the guacamole is good. Restaurant is clean and service is efficient read more

This hole in the wall place was good. We are camping in lake brownwood state park, and the hot fresh lunch was great. Went twice during this stay had Mexican food the first day and went back the next day for American. Met the owner.... he was very friendly as well as the staff were very nice and made great suggestions. We will be back! read more

We go to corina's every time we are in town. The staff is amazing! Very kind and courteous. The menu is huge! Too many options. They use USA beef which is nice. Really like this place when we come to town. read more

I use to go here years ago and really couldn't stand it because of Smoking! I quit going for years. One day I stopped in for tea to go and noticed it was very pleasant. We went there last evening and really enjoyed non-smoking and pleasant servers. The food was real good that day and my wife and I shared a piece of chocolate meringue pie, homemade of course! It was so good! read more

Beware!!! Menu Prices say one price but when they bring your ticket they charge almost double. I haven't been to another restaurant or business during this entire pandemic that has done this. It's fine to raise your Prices but when your not giving menus with the prices you are going to charge is Sorry and unethical. read more

Corina's has been a staple to Lake Brownwood for over 30 years and it's becoming more and more of a disappointment every time we stop in. The new owner is money hungry and has gone above and beyond to ensure people stop coming in. When Harry was running the restaurant, the line would be out the door on Sunday after church. I understand prices need to increase over years due to inflation, but to charge $5.00 for an a la cart bean and cheese burrito is ridiculous. The lake is a low income area. It's cheaper to drive into town or go to Wild Duck and at least get a view and entertainment. They're charging $8 for a single hamburger, no fries or drinks. Brent needs to go back to Lake Brownwood roots, get rid of the fancy computers and t shirts for employees and drop the prices just a little. The food quality has always been good, but people can't afford these prices. It's not worth it. It's the lake for crying out loud. Oh, and they also got rid of the kids menu so now you'll be paying at least $8 for a meal for the kids. read more

We do Corina's because it's clean, quiet and decent. There's a specific experience here which fits particular plates of food. It does NOT fit all plates of food. Corina's serves Mexican food with a heavy chile sauce and tons of yellow cheese, very hot, bubbling, and fresh. It's good in a particular dish. But it's the same plate regardless of the item under the sauce. The chile relleno my wife ordered was unidentifiable. Guacamole enchiladas seem to also get this treatment. It almost doesn't matter what you order. Speaking of guacamole.. Today, I ordered guacamole as a side. It was maybe 1/2 or 1/3 of a cup. It was manufactured, apparently. Very odd flavor, no moisture, no identifiable avocado chunks. It was paste. It was served with a chip sticking up in it. It was $7.00. Corina's is a nice place. We want to eat there. But this mess is not going to cut it. We paid close to $45.00, including tip, for two adults with iced tea. read more

Been going here for years. The food is still hot when you get it, just lacks the taste that made it unique in years past. The hot sauce is comparable to pizza sauce with a lil kick. Their chicken fried steak is to die for though. read more

There is no longer smoking there, and the place wasn't very busy. I had the beef burrito covered in red sauce, rice and beans and it was really good, basic is better for me. Service was really good so I would recommend! read more

Terrible! Would not recommend eating here. Drove an extra 20 miles to eat here based on the good reviews. Today the meal was not good at all. Frozen relleno that was extremely freezer burnt. Over cooked sauce. Tasteless meat. Bland salsa and store bought chips. Only good thing was the sweet tea. The server did a good job. Will never eat here again. read more
