This is typical Tex-Mex food. My wife and I would eat her often when we were first married. Things haven't changed much since then aside from the prices. The amount of food was very generous. Cheese and onion enchiladas were great.... Chile relleno was average. The meat inside the pepper tasted slightly burnt but it wasn't bad. Beef enchiladas were great. By far the best thing ordered was the combination fajitas. There was enough for three people and the flavor was very good. Will definitely order the fajitas next time we eat here. read more

We ordered from Corina's after a day of traveling. We were exhausted and they accommodated us with curbside. The lady that brought the order out was so sweet and thoughtful! We were staying at a hotel close to there and asked for ice and utensils. I asked her name because she was just over the top. I think she said Hailey. Corina's closes at 9pm. Do not bother calling in a to-go order after 8. They will not answer the phone. Drove there and was there about 8:25. Waited for over an hour for the order. Apparently, they were trying to make a statement to NEVER place a to-go order after 8pm. Prices have gone up considerably. The so-called Mexican food is terrible. Chicken strips, hamburgers, and steak fingers are very good. The last time we went, at least 5 tables came in after us. When the wait person waited on 3 of them before us, we got up and left and have not been back. Will only go back if we are desperate. read more

They have some of the rudest wait staff I have ever encountered. I stood at register waiting on my call in order for over 12 minutes as numerous staff members walked past me without saying a word. My elderly grandpa took us here for dinner, thinking it would be nice for the four of us. The prices were not listed on the menu, and they still claim that it's the same owners that it's been since 1988. That is a lie, it's a new owner. My meal came with optional rice and beans, and when I asked the waitress if I could do a dinner salad instead, she didn't tell me it would be a $4.81 up charge. We were shocked when we received the bill and my mom's taco salad with chicken fajita meat was $22.95. For the four of us to eat a substandard meal with all of us ordering water, it was over $85, not including the tip. I downloaded the Yelp App just so I could give this place a review. If you want authentic Mexican food, this is the place to come! It's way out next to the lake but worth the drive. "Mom n Pop" feel with great food. The waitress was really nice even when we had 4 adults and 6 kids taking three tables. The only reason for 4 stars and not 5 is that it was BYOB... which is awesome if we would have known (not from here). BUT, there's a Dollar General 720 feet away so we made the short trip and grabbed a 12 pack and got stuffed. Highly recommend! read more

I love Corina's and so does my entire extended family. My grandparents lived close by and would go there two or three times a week for about ten years before they passed away. They were treated like family here. Anytime any of us grandkids came to visit we had to go at least once during our visit and I make sure to go still anytime I'm in the area. The service is great and food is delicious / an incredible bang for your buck. It's Tex-Mex which is my favorite but I understand it's not everyone's cup of tea. I highly recommend the beef street tacos and it's enough food for two meals. All the portions are large. If your not feeling Mexican food, they have other options, and their burgers are fantastic. This hole in the wall place was good. We are camping in lake brownwood state park, and the hot fresh lunch was great. Went twice during this stay had Mexican food the first day and went back the next day for American. Met the owner.... he was very friendly as well as the staff were very nice and made great suggestions. We will be back! read more

NOTE: The map is wrong. This place isn't even close to 4th Street or 377. IT's right next to the lake beside the Feather Bay area. I submitted a note to Yelp to try to fix that. For Mexican food in the area, Corina's is the best we've had. Prices are low and the food was pretty good for the area. The salsa was thick but had no chunks. It was a mixture of tomato and chili powder. Not bad! We added a little salt and lime to give it a little extra flavor. We had the Deluxe Dinner: a bean chalupa, one enchilada, a chili relleno with beans and rice. Everything came covered in boiling melted cheese and for me, that was kinda gross. My wife, however, likes everything covered in cheese. There seemed to be some excess grease pooling under my taco and it took a very long time to cool, and wasn't very tasty. The chili relleno was battered and fried to a crispy brown. The inside was filled with some sort of corn and cheese mixture. It was spicy, and that's what most Brownwood area Mexican food is missing! Only thing missing is booze. We're way too used to Austin and having alcohol with almost every meal. read more

I use to go here years ago and really couldn't stand it because of Smoking! I quit going for years. One day I stopped in for tea to go and noticed it was very pleasant. Corina's has been a staple to Lake Brownwood for over 30 years and it's becoming more and more of a disappointment every time we stop in. The new owner is money hungry and has gone above and beyond to ensure people stop coming in. When Harry was running the restaurant, the line would be out the door on Sunday after church. I understand prices need to increase over years due to inflation, but to charge $5.00 for an a la cart bean and cheese burrito is ridiculous. The lake is a low income area. It's cheaper to drive into town or go to Wild Duck and at least get a view and entertainment. They're charging $8 for a single hamburger, no fries or drinks. Brent needs to go back to Lake Brownwood roots, get rid of the fancy computers and t shirts for employees and drop the prices just a little. The food quality has always been good, but people can't afford these prices. It's not worth it. It's the lake for crying out loud. Oh, and they also got rid of the kids menu so now you'll be paying at least $8 for a meal for the kids. read more

We do Corina's because it's clean, quiet and decent. There's a specific experience here which fits particular plates of food. It does NOT fit all plates of food. Corina's serves Mexican food with a heavy chile sauce and tons of yellow cheese, very hot, bubbling, and fresh. It's good in a particular dish. But it's the same plate regardless of the item under the sauce. The chile relleno my wife ordered was unidentifiable. Guacamole enchiladas seem to also get this treatment. It almost doesn't matter what you order. Speaking of guacamole.. Today, I ordered guacamole as a side. It was maybe 1/2 or 1/3 of a cup. It was manufactured, apparently. Very odd flavor, no moisture, no identifiable avocado chunks. It was paste. It was served with a chip sticking up in it. It was $7.00. Corina's is a nice place. We want to eat there. But this mess is not going to cut it. We paid close to $45.00, including tip, for two adults with iced tea. read more
