So I didn't try any of their *food* food, which seems to be a focus, but they're definitely providing a great service to anyone in the area who needs some quality morning coffee. 4 euro for an oat milk latte is a pretty great price, and it was a great latte. Since I was there and saw that they also sold pastries, I also got a filled croissant for 3 euro, which made a great breakfast - the croissant itself, honestly, was just good, but the cream filling was fantastic. p.s. if you're just here for a to-go coffee like I was - there's signage around, or at least was when I was there, that makes it seem like they only have table service, so I awkwardly saw at a table until they told me I could absolutely also order at the counter, especially if I was ordering to-go.

Macchiato was creamy. Full of caramel notes. Not bitter served at the right temp. Ambiance is like a food hall slightly hard worn. Music in the background.

SUMMARY: Perfect score for delicious food (lunch), excellent…read moreservice, gorgeous interior, and shockingly good price. This was the only meal during out entire trip to Portugal that we didn't plan in advance, and it happened to be the best! We were wandering around town and happened to come across this one, and we're sure glad we decided to try it. FOOD: Food was phenomenal. The restaurant is also attached to an upscale hotel, so the menu includes dishes unique to both Portugal and Porto, which hotel guests may want to experience. This was also perfect for tourists like us, who were visiting town. To start, the two types of butter they give with the bread was great. Definitely try the green one. The MEAT PIES appetizer was my favorite. They are more like fried empanadas, filled with a deliciously savory meat, surrounded by a fluffy and crispy pastry, which you dip in garlic sauce. I also loved the fries with FRANCESINHA SAUCE, which is normally used in a sandwich that is unique to the Porto region. Their take on the popular Portuguese IBERIAN PORK was another hit. It is served in a dim sum steamer with steamed buns, lettuce, and sauce. You put it together into a mouth watering mini-sandwich, which I couldn't help but dip in the francesinha sauce. The only dish I didn't love was the cod fish with egg. The texture of the crispy hashbrowns just didn't mix well for me with the almost slimy texture of the codfish. I wouldn't fault the restaurant though, as based on our other meals in Portugal, I think this is the typical way it is served. SERVICE: Service was great. The servers spoke great English, they had English translations of the menu, and they were very attentive and courteous. I found the server's explanation of the menu very helpful. INTERIOR: The first thing that attracted us to the restaurant was the gorgeous art deco interior. The marble and brass walls and columns made me feel like I was in a Michelin star restaurant. The teal velvet fabrics were also an appreciated contrast. PRICE: Portugal overall is quite cheap compared to Northern Europe or North America. But considering that it felt like a Michelin-level experience, I was delightfully shocked to have paid only €38 for a meal for 2 (no alcohol). CONCLUSION: I would absolutely come here again. I wish more people knew about this place!i
