This review is for Meli! I love taking her C2 class -- I always feel really strong after! I like how her flows are always intentional to help with whatever pose she is focusing on for the month, even her core section of class. I'm a beginner working on my upper body strength and balance and seeing her get into the different poses is really inspiring! It helps that she breaks each layer down and encourages us to build from that. I also love that she flows to the beat of her music -- it really helps me with my breaths Thanks Meli! :) This location is small.. there's only one studio, located upstairs. I never have trouble finding parking, but that's because I come in the morning so I'm not sure what it's like in the evenings. Overall a really great studio! read more

I have been doing CorePower Yoga for years and I absolutely love it. My go to classes are C2 and Sculpt. The teachers are wonderful and the studio and locker rooms are well kept. This location is upstairs and only has one studio (other locations have multiple) but parking is generally easy and it's easy to get to. read more

CorePower Yoga - Mission Valley - Yoga Near Me - San Diego, California

Since I have been coming to CorePower my health has improved. Just not my physical health, but my mental health has improved. Corepower truly provides community and I have made many friendships thanks to Corepower. The yoga instructors are very kind and never disappoints me when it comes to a great workout, plus the music during class is always on point. Also, during yoga class, no phones are allowed in the studio making this perfect if you want to detach from work and other distractions your phone brings you. 5 stars for CorePower. read more

I really liked the manager, Justin -- he was excellent and had a great workout routine. Justin is a 5/5, easy. I also enjoyed the mix of weights and cardio. Some of the other staff had strong routines that I found really effective -- I'd rate them 4/5. One staff member, Meara, had a different style that didn't quite work for me. She seemed a bit distant and less engaged during sessions, and I didn't feel as welcomed in her class compared to others. I also didn't feel particularly welcomed by a couple of the other instructors -- I don't recall their names, so I won't mention specifics. While their routines were fine, the energy and engagement just didn't click for me -- I'd rate them 1/5. read more

I took a class at Mission Valley at 230 pm with a sub today and I have to say I don't know what they are teaching in these teacher trainings these days. As a long time member, and former teacher, my students comfort was always first. The instructor had the music so loud and was incessantly screaming over it the whole time. The class wasn't a full hour because she barely gave a breath for each pose. At the end she BEAT a sound bowl to death. I've never heard someone abuse a sound bowl. My husband and I had to cover our ears during savasana. I have never left a review for a class but I had to so this instructor is more mindful of her students in the future. read more

This is not for the average yoga girl. The classes are intense and the instructors truly love what they do. Be ready for lots of sweat and fast paced flows. They have a great selection read more

A lot of parking by the studio. I usually take Yoga Sculpt classes because this studio is huge. It's very clean, spacious and comfortable. Great teachers, lots of good energy and friendly atmosphere. I enjoy this particular location over other places. read more

I am enjoying taking yoga classes at the 4S Ranch site! the only problem I have is that although I pay for a monthly all access membership, I made a mistake and canceled a class I was booked for and was charged a $15 cancellation fee even though I pay for all access membership and the class was not full. So now I don't ever reserve a spot ahead of time. I just show up and enjoy the class. That way I don't take a chance on being charged if something comes up and I cannot attend. read more

Best yoga studio! I have been taking classes since 2019 and attend around 3-5 classes a week. Brittny at mission valley teaches one of my favorite Sculpt classes. It is more of a heavy weight class but also incorporates cardio and a lot of abs. I also enjoy that CPY has three different types of classes and so many teachers, so it never feels like im taking the same class. read more

Love their classes; however, they seem to rotate their teachers after a while. So if you find an instructor you jive with be consistent and go often to their classes because they don't last very long on the schedule. I enjoy Adam's sculpt class and Meli's CY2, Ivy's sculpt when I can make it as its an off time for my schedule. Its a great variety of classes, although I wished the offer core restore as some other studios have it. One of the concerns I have is there is some room for improvement on the cleanliness of the studio. All of the studios use volunteers to clean. I notice there is dust under the weights and the floors are sometimes not that clean. I wish they would hire a professional cleaner to get down and dirty and clean thoroughly. On a higher note, love core power, love the heat and I have been a fan of some of the instructors. I encourage you to take a variety of instructors and classes to find what suits your personality. OM ON! read more

Love the studio and enjoyed my free week, but the last class I took today as a drop in, the music was way too loud and I couldn't hear the instructor well. I inched my mat a couple of times forward towards the middle to try and get away from the speaker. I thought about leaving in the middle of class during one song that kind of pushed me to my breaking point of feeling stressed and unfocused, but didn't want to be rude or disruptive. Everyone is really nice so I wanted to still give 4 stars. I thought about joining with their sale going on right now, but not ready to commit at this time. read more

Took Ivy's Wednesday night Sculpt class and Holy moly... it was pretty challenging. Not only was it super fast paced, there weren't any breaks in between flows. Now remember, you don't need to be told to take a minute, so you do you when you need it - but at the end, I was like, "Wow, that just happened... and I survived." I have to give her major props as the sequences were on the longer side, something that I appreciate because a lot of thought has to go into them for that to happen. Studio was pretty clean, but the rental mats need attention. I think some of them are past their expiration date as mine smelled like a foot and was disintegrating all through the practice. It was so bad that at the end, they just told me to trash it. The later you go, the more limited the parking situation seems to be. Pro: it's next to some shopping centers so there's lots of options for food/drink to refuel afterwards. read more

It pains be to write this review because I don't really want to class to get any fuller than it already is. Lindsay's Sculpt class is just great!! Thank-you Lindsay for the message you give at the end of the class - you always manage to strike a cord!! read more

I have been an active member of corepower for about 3 years now. I have been to most of the SD locations and this is definitely my favorite of the bunch. I like this place so much that this was the deciding factor for moving to Mission Valley. First off, the locker room is always clean, and well organized. Second off, the instructors at this location are probably the most professional ones i've seen. Meli - is my personal favorite b/c you are sore for DAYS after her courses. Lastly, they offer a more reasonable pricing for students, so make sure you ask about that! the only reason I docked a point is b/c there were a few times where the schedule on the website does not match the one on the app, and I had to call the main office to ask about it... Hopefully this bug will be updated soon for i have high hopes for this place. PS. The reason I moved within walking distance of this studio is because the parking can be a real pain. Esp if u come for prime time classes (ie. 4:45pm)... Something that I used to do was to park across the street and then walk over... Guess the goal if you're driving is to get here 30 mins before to allow urself ample time to find a spot! read more

CorePower Yoga - Mission Valley - Personal note from one of the instructors - Yoga Near Me - San Diego, California

I finally decided to bite the bullet and join Corepower despite it's overpriced membership. Whatever, it makes me feel super skinny and awesome so I'm happy to fork over the cash. This is my favorite studio because: 1) Parking is easy peasy. 2) Hands down, it's the cleanest. 3) The locker room is spacious, unlike Hillcrest and Northpark where I'm practically bumping booties with everyone inside. 4) The instructors are always on time. 5) Location, location, location. If I want to start off my day by burning 700 calories in a hundred-degree room with 15 other people, so be it. My waistline is slimmer, and so is my wallet. But seriously...I feel great and if you're questioning whether or not to join, just try it for a month and your body will thank you. read more

Obsessed with this studio! So many talented and inspiring teachers - some are downright profound! Highly recommend Juan's sculpt class if you want a killer workout but also want to be inspired spiritually. He's so fun and uplifting! I can't stop smiling through the sweat. He's got a very ancient, tribal, celebratory vibe! You leave feeling connected to your best self. Also, LOVE Tony's class! It's extremely challenging - probably the hardest teacher at that location but he's super profound and high energy. Not as difficult as Tabu but some people have challenged that he is. Very inspiring - he pushes you to rise to the challenge with successful energy. Don't try to ever do is Sunday 4:15p class after mimosas at Brunch. I did and almost dropped dead lol - you need all the hydration and clean energy you can get! Always feel better than ever after their classes! Ben is new but also good - a more meditative but invigorating flow. Also the ladies are just terrific. Meli is soulful and deep but totally ripped. Inspires you to be strong and patient in the face of challenge. Love this place! read more

Again, I love corepower. This location is located up a flight (or flights) of stairs. Limited parking (downside), located near mission valley mall, so sometimes it's heavily congested in the area. One studio, spacious (women's) locker room. Spacious lobby. Friendly staff. Same great classes. read more

Yikes, just finished a Yoga Sculpt class .... fantastic workout and good sweat session . Great way to start a day read more

I've been a member for over 2 years. I love the diversity at CorePower. It is for all shapes, sizes, levels, ages, etc. Everyone is super nice, friendly, and welcoming. And every class is different, so even after 2 years it never gets monotonous. I've attended Nikki's classes recently and I really enjoyed her intention and her flow. Btw on the CorePower app you can save your favorite instructors so you don't forget their names later. If you are new to yoga, I have to give you 2 pieces of advice: 1) please don't compare yourself to others. That's the first thing I had to learn about yoga. No one is looking at you or judging you. So just stay positive and have fun. 2) Start with the beginning level classes. If you try to jump straight into Yoga Sculpt, you will hate it. So start yourself nice and easy and eventually you'll be doing things that you never thought you could. read more

I am new to yoga, I have only been practicing for a few months, and I have been using ClassPass to try out all the studios in the area. I was excited to try out CorePower because I've heard wonderful things from so many people. I took a C1 class several weeks ago because I was/am still working on getting comfortable with fundamentals. While the studio was gorgeous and clean, I was seriously put off by the instructor Perrin. Everything was fine until we started practicing different balances, where she started laughing at people who were falling out of their asanas, several times. Really? To me that was seriously unprofessional, and not what yoga is about at all. Since she seems to be the only one who teaches C1 classes, if I return to CorePower at all, it won't be at the Mission Valley location. read more

Highly recommend Yoga Sculpt, C2 and Hot Power Fusion. All the studios have been great as I live close to several of them. This is the most extensive class schedule Iv'e seen compared to the competitors. I prefer later evening classes and most studios close at 7 or 8pm. I like the 9pm option as I have distractions all day with my business so it takes me awhile to feel like I can 'punch out' and unwind. Parking is the easiest at this location. read more

Dear Corepower Yoga, My week is always such a clusterf*ck, that I have to make sure the MWF C2 classes are entered into my google calendar. Every time I enter your studio I have so many scattered thoughts racing through my brain such as: do I need to pick up cat food before heading home?, will I make it to my waxing appointment on Thursday if I get out of work late?, did I send the report my boss wanted?, are my nails starting to look gross?, why am I breaking out?, did I schedule the cleaning lady to come? BUT...as soon as I draw my first ujayi breath, I can let out all those thoughts, and for one hour---JUST ONE HOUR---I can be just me. It is just me and my body, and the soothing voice of the instructor. By the end of class I feel so empowered, so rejuvenated and ready to face another day of craziness armed with the knowledge that you will be there waiting for me tomorrow evening. THANK YOU for being so available. THANK YOU for your amazing range of schedules to choose from. THANK YOU for having lululemon apparel so I won't have to drive to La Jolla to pick something up. Without you, I would literally go insane. Much Love, Anna read more

As the proud Yelp duchess of my most favorite yoga studio, it is a crime that I haven't yet reviewed it. Any yogi with some classes under their belt who enjoys a real sweat would love the C2 classes, which are my favorite. I love that it's offered at least 2-3 times a day, but would love another time slot during the day if possible, just to get some more flexibility (haha, get it?!) for when I can take those classes. C1 is way beginner but a nice intro for students new to yoga and a good way to break up the more advanced classes now and then. Core restore on weekend afternoons is the best class to reach the pure meditative state with gentle stretches as opposed to the more intense vinyasa flow of C2, core restore afternoons are an awesome way to detoxify! And for super high intensity, take a sculpt class, yoga + weights + heat on a regular basis will guarantee ya some muscle tone! I've tried many different yoga studios over the years and by far CPY is my favorite; the diversity of locations around the County (and throughout the west coast) is great. The MV studio in particular has become a part of my community that I have come to love. Come join and get your ujaii breath on! read more

This studio used to be one of my favorites.. I loved it so much I kept going to it even after I got ran over in its parking lot. I work in marketing, and I am going to make a wild guess and say that all of the reviews that mention the "great" parking are written by people who are associated to the studio. Parking here can be considered to be some of the worse parking out of all of the Corepower Yoga's on the weekend. What I am mostly upset about its the 7:30am hot power fusion class being canceled. It was such a great class, and it was at such a perfect time! (I work at 9am and I can't wait up for a 6am class to save my life). It's safe to say CorePower lost my 3 year black tag membership over this one. read more

I have practiced yoga at a couple of different studios and now only practice at CorePower. I am far from a hardcore yogi, but I love the Vinyasa flow style at CP. I particular enjoy that their classes are set to music; some classes like Hot Power Fusion are set to more upbeat music while their Heated Power Yoga classes are often set to more zen-inducing music. The instructors have slightly varying teaching styles but are always super nice and enthusiastic about yoga. The minor criticism is that some of the instructors change regularly, so you may not get to develop a more personal relationship and practice with a particular instructor. You can purchase monthly membership or 10 or 20-class package, which is what I prefer to do (each class ends up costing $14-$16 per class with a package). First-time clients enjoy a week of free unlimited classes, so it's definitely worth checking out and trying a few classes. Classes do get packed (first come, first serve, depending on the day/time), so be sure to show up at least 10 minutes before class starts to grab a good spot. The facilities (one studio and locker rooms/bathrooms) at CP Mission Valley are clean and spacious. They have plenty lockers available as well as showers and toiletries. They also offer yoga mats for rent (but seriously, just go to Ross and buy a $9 yoga mat), and yogi clothes and products for sale. The only major pitfall of this location is the parking. Parking can be a major pain since it shares the parking lot with Mimi's Cafe and David's Bridal. (You can always parking at the shopping complex right across the street and walk over.) CP is more corporate than your average local studio, but it also means that they are professional and offer a variety of levels, classes, and programs. CP is definitely a good place to start your yoga practice! read more

As an infrequent, Groupon-only yogi, I finally bit the bullet and got a membership once this studio got added to the line up. Many of the issues with the other Corepower studios - poor parking, really tight locker rooms, and crowded classes - don't exist at the MV studio. And it's super quick drive right off the 8 or 163! The parking can be a bit of a pain during times when Mimi's cafe is busy, but you can easily find parking across the street near Fuddruckers. Locker rooms have SO much more room than any other studio in SD. And the classes don't ever seem to fill up to the point of a Hillcrest class. If you go in the middle of a weekday, you will have easy parking and a class of at most 15 other students. The perfect way to practice. Additionally, I haven't had a single instructor at this location that I didn't like, which I can't say about the other locations. And I've tried most of them. :) My favorites for a C2 are Heidi, Anga, Cheryl and Jo Anne, but all the instructors are great. read more

I like this studio. Located upstairs, this is one of the few that doesn't lock up when class is in session. Roomy, great instruction, my only wish is that they would lower their membership prices to be more competitive with other chain gyms. I still prefer the La Jolla location as my favorite, but this is a quick, closer option. read more

I started my practice over a year ago and I can honestly say I am the happiest and healthiest I've been since I moved to San Diego. CorePower combines sweat with spirituality and I can't think of a better way to unwind after a long day in the office. As a black tag member, you have access to all of CorePower's different studios and amenities. I try to go about 3-4 times a week and regular studios are Hillcrest, Point Loma, and Mission Valley. The other two are great, but I love the vibe of this one. The 7:30 Candlelight is great and every instructor I've had has been gracious and welcoming. They have nice locker rooms and the studio is a decent size. Another benefit to CP is that the yogis here take yoga seriously. It isn't like going to a gym-chain where you're stuffed in a room with 40 other people with an instructor that couldn't care less. If you're looking for a deeper practice and something more meaningful, I would definitely recommend CP. The only con is that the unlimited black tag is $140/month. Kinda pricey, considering Fit Athletic downtown is only $129/month and includes a variety of yoga-pilates-cycling-fitness classes, a gym, pool, and personal training. Kinda torn at the moment, but CP will always have a special place in my heart (and my sore legs). NAMASTE~ read more

Rounding down this time for the location and the other instructors I've experienced here AND my personal feelings on Power Yoga. Parking IS difficult occasionally, especially on weekends; at one time I had to park across the street at the strip mall because there were too many other people looking for parking in their lot and I didn't feel like competing with them. It was ridiculous. Other than my experience with Whitney, the rest of the instructors I haven't had a "spectacular" experience with. Not bad/terrible, just very "eh". Classes can get crowded, especially the free Hot Power Fusion class they hold on Saturdays. Because my last class was so off-putting, I'll never go to that free class or any other free class with CorePower again. Any class that is NOT C1 (unless it's free but that can vary too) tends to have a lot of people. But what's worse about the free ones are that it's full of inexperienced people who don't know how to respect the yoga studio. For example, here's what I've noticed and experienced: - I've had many people step on my mat. Fine, it's accidental, whatever, I can let that go once. Maybe twice, especially if it's crowded. But why do you keep stepping in and out of the studio? That's what I find so irritating. We're not talking coming in and out twice; these people go in and out of the room at least 3-5 times for I don't know what. - People bringing their cell phones in the studio and texting their friends before class - One person was rude enough to just walk in the studio out of impatience, not caring if the previous class wasn't over or was in Savasana. Thankfully it was. - The last HPF class I was in, many people actually left during the class. What ever happened to Child's Pose? I know I'm sounding so "un-yogi-like", but I realize that CP doesn't bring out the mellow, zen feelings in me. Rather, it always feels like a competition over who can do the best pose and who can hold it the longest, and I feel like the heat enhances that competitive feeling (part of the reason why I'm not a fan of Power Yoga and Heated/Bikram Yoga). If anyone's taken a Social Psych 101 class and read about the correlation between heat and aggression, you know what I'm talking about. Not to mention the corporate business CP is...but anyway, I digress.... I've taken other classes since C1 and Hot Yoga (Hot Power Fusion being the one I just mentioned and C2)...I've written more about my experiences with these in my Hillcrest CorePower review. C2 is the only class that I think is "unique" (i.e., you're NEVER going to get the same class twice), whereas the Hot classes and C1 are generally the same; some instructors teach C2 better than others. I've had a couple instructors treat C2 like it was an aerobics class; for example, making us transition into different poses way too quickly, in my opinion. Not that I found it extremely difficult; I just thought it was very awkward because I couldn't perform my poses on an optimal level. And this isn't to say that I enjoy a good challenge. Last week I took an extremely difficult intermediate Vinyasa Flow class elsewhere (i.e., NOT at a CorePower) that totally kicked my butt; it was the hardest class I've ever taken to date, even harder than some C2s I've taken. But at least that one felt like a true yoga class; while the class was fast (hence the name "Vinyasa Flow"), the instructor gave enough time to sink deeper into the pose if we could. I will admit that I'm still beginner and I only know how to do a few inversions. I can't do some of the inversions C2 suggests. I suspect that the few individuals who can do the advanced C2 inversions either practice a lot and/or they have some previous yoga experience. However, I've noticed that some of the students who attend C2 can't even do bakasana (which is what they teach in C1 and is commonly the first inversion most yogis learn). I've attended Intermediate Vinyasa classes elsewhere and nearly all the students can at least do that pose. I always thought bakasana was an intermediate pose, and I don't look down on anyone who can't do it, yet (because I know with practice anyone can do it with time). But it makes me think...if you have a lot of "intermediate" students who can't do bakasana *and* have poor alignment BUT insist on taking C2 to sweat their brains off, are you really teaching yoga or are you teaching students how to work out? I'm pretty sure I'm one of the very, very few who feels disappointed by this; most people who love CorePower treat yoga like it's a fitness regime...which isn't a bad thing, but I've noticed that in other studios that place yoga on a higher level, teaching quality is better and the aforementioned "irks" (i.e., the examples I've encountered in my last HPF class) are much fewer and far between. Mission Valley is still A-OK, bigger than some CPs and the facilities are nicer. I'll still attend the C1 and C2 in my spare time, but for a true yoga experience, I have another studio I go to. read more

not my regular studio but has proven to be a convenient alternative in a central location.. ive gotten a good workout every time ive come. the first time i came was last year with a male instructor with longer brown hair. i REALLY liked his class as it was very high energy and a creative style for a C2 class. i instantly saw the difference with a male teaching the class--in a good way, for those looking for a more intense workout. only real drawbacks are the wall supports in the way and lack of adjacent mirror walls you find in other studios. the studio is one of the larger ones around town...meaning more ppl can fit in the class and ive never felt it was too crowded. the last time i visited, they had free samples of robeks smoothies and coupons after the class ended. so nice! mission valley as a whole is a busy area, but its located in a rather large parking and ive never had an issue finding parking. read more

Clean, friendly, and the room is quite big in the mission valley location granted its a one room studio. It was my first time in a hot yoga class and i tried the candlelit class. Not only did the instructor move at a good pace, the music selection was on point, and the hour class passed very quickly as it was just that good. Challenging with the tied in core exercises but was good. I left feeling great and have slowly felt more relaxed all day. Tip: bring a towel and water. It will get sweaty. read more

As far as location/parking goes, the other review has already pretty much covered my thoughts (thanks Michael H.!). I'd give corepower a 3.5....well, a 3.4 because I decided to round down. In all, I'd recommend giving Corepower a try (you get a week for free, so why not?) because even though it isn't my full cup of tea, it may be yours. The unlimited monthly rate for students is relatively reasonable (for yoga). But classes are first come, first serve, so be sure to come early to secure a spot in class. Probably because this is a new location, it is quite a bit nicer than the other corepower location I've been to. However, I had the sun shining straight into my eyes everytime I was facing the window (very disruptive) and the locker room wasn't too bad but I've seen nicer. I'd recommend giving Corepower a shot... the instructors are hit or miss here, as they are at most yoga studio because your preference in yoga instructors also have a factor in that. read more

I really like this location bc 1) parking is a breeze, 2) the studio is ALWAYS clean. Like all corepower studios, the instructors I've had the pleasure of meeting have all been extremely nice and encouraging. What core power lacks, however, is a sense of individualism, with less attention on individual students. I understand why and the fact that there are so many locations and classes is definitely worth the trade off. I can always find a class I want at whatever time of day -early AM to late PM. read more

My first time at the Mission Valley location and I must say I was pleased. Parking is plentiful, the yoga studio doesn't smell, lots of light, BIG classroom, and since I took a 2pm class there were only like 10 of us in there - we had a ton of room. I am a slave to Sculpt - but I have reduced down to C2 the last few times I've been because one instructor at the Point Loma location kicked my butt over thanksgiving break and I thought I was going to throw up. Sadly, the flow in C2 is dictated almost entirely by the instructor. I wasn't happy with my C2 class yesterday but I hesitate to knock the instructor because it was my first time with her and it might have just been a bad collection of positions (warrior 2 to standing split? and why was half the class facing the back of the room?) I just bought the 1-month on groupon for only $59 so in March I will re-review as I take more classes. I'm normally a North Park girl, but I used to attend Pt Loma sculpts and C2s religiously for about a year (when I had money to burn). I still maintain that Escondido is the best location, the classrooms have natural bamboo growing outside a floor-to-ceiling window. How could it get better than that? Yoga in paradise :) read more

I think corepower has a great fitness model. The teachers are really enthusiastic and offer quite challenging work outs. I love the sculpt classes as I find them to be the most fun, different every time and I like the added element of weights. I've been in the best shape of my life since signing up for a membership with corepower one year ago and consistently taking classes. I also enjoy that I can use my membership when I'm traveling all over the country. Lastly, I truly feel a deeper mind, body connection when I take a class. I think that being a "sculpter" makes me a better person, helps with my mood and makes me feel great overall. I highly recommend corepower! read more

I really cherish my membership here. At $89/month for students, its really a great deal although it seems a little expensive! I have a really hard time trying to focus and relax, and this is just the place that has helped me get over that! This is a new studio, and their facilities are very clean, MOST instructors are really friendly, and the atmosphere is a great addition to my stressful life. My favorite is Sarah P. Her playlist is perfect to yoga to, and her classes are always really relaxing. If you forget your mat, they will rent one out to you for $1. Also, their bathrooms and locker room is spotless. :) read more

I found Corepower yoga because I happened to study at the Starbucks in Hillcrest downstairs from the studio. I kept seeing these beautiful, toned women walk out of the yoga studio upstairs. "I wish I looked like those girls," I thought, "I wonder what that place is?" Then I noticed a Corepower Yoga studio opening in Mission Valley down the street from my house. I used the "try free for a week" coupon to check them out. That was two years ago. Since then, I have become obsessed. As a runner, yoga has shaved a minute off my mile time, and increased my overall strength, flexibility, and body awareness. It made me able to moderate my breathing during the Rock n Roll marathon. I used to suffer from lower back pain; no longer. And the workout itself is incredible. You sweat (the classes are heated), you relax, you become more in tune with yourself. You can chose any type of yoga, from traditional to vinyasa flow to strength to pilates. The instructors are excellent, especially katie for her yoga sculpt class, beth, christina, and chantelle for yoga C2, and bryan for hot power fusion. The studios are cleaner than a 1st class hotel: I should know. I participate in a yoga-for-trade opportunity, where you receive a free membership in exchange for cleaning the studios 3 hours per week. It is the only public fitness location where I feel comfortable taking a shower. I cannot recommend corepower highly enough. It will change your life. Cheesy, but true. read more

I was not impressed with my experience at this studio. It was my first time going to a sculpting class and I was excited to try something new. I've tried traditional yoga many times and it wasn't for me, but I liked the idea of a more fast paced environment. I went with a friend who is a frequent member in Orange County. She loves the sculpting class and was eager to take me to the Core Power in San Diego when she came to visit. We got to our class about 15 to 20 minutes early because I needed to give all of my information with the intention of signing up after a week, if I enjoyed the experience. We laid our mats out and stretched a bit. My friend began answering a couple of my questions regarding the class at a very soft whisper. No one around us was bothered and we weren't fooling around. The class had not began and was not filled up even partially at this time. A girl walked in and messed with the heat, walked over to us, and told my friend to stop "chatting" and then walked out. I was so taken aback and almost felt like leaving. I thought it was rude of her to NOT have introduced herself as an instructor and her approach was very unprofessional. The fact that we weren't chatting and that I was asking a couple of beneficial questions and whispering very quietly was upsetting. I did not expect for my first time to start off like this and to find out that she wasn't even teaching our class was the tip of the iceberg. Our instructor was lovely. I really enjoyed her teaching method, but after class my friend and I went to talk to "Meli" or Melissa about her behavior and she seemed very unapologetic. Terrible customer service skills. My friend explained that she had never once ran into this problem at any other Core Power she had been to and she was not happy about how we were treated. I understand the importance of keeping quiet so that there is a meditation environment, but we were clearly not bothering anyone around us and were not in any way being loud. It's safe to say that I will not be going back to this location and it's not likely that I will be signing up for a membership. read more

I am still somewhat novice in my hot yoga practice and have gotten into Bikram, Hatha and "power" yoga in the past few years... I really liked the instructors. Personally I wish there was "more" energy / spiritual teachings... but I understand that not everyone digs this personal inner relationship teachings.. Heidi & Cindy are awesome and very genuine. If you see a class schedule with her name on it, don't hesitate, GO! The facilities are very clean and great energy greets you at every session. There are no judgments here, just welcoming smiles helping to facilitate you on your health and self journey.! read more
