My son's time at Goddard has come to an end, and I feel it's only right to share my experience…read more On his very first day, I picked him up and noticed he was limping. The owner, Wendy, was present and even asked what happened. However, the staff had no explanation, and no incident report was provided that day or the following day. That evening, I had to take him to KidMed because he could not put weight on his left leg. (I have attached the KidMed invoice with the date.) When I asked my son what happened, he said he twisted his ankle on the playground. What prompted me to write this review was my final interaction with the owner, Wendy. Earlier in the day, I had called Mrs. Ray and asked if I could receive my son's medication back and a letter confirming my prorated rate in writing. When I arrived, Mrs. Trina and Mrs. Ray kindly greeted me, returned the medication, and Mrs. Trina even gave my child a hug. However, when I asked about the letter, Wendy stated, "It was sent to your bank." I reminded her that I called two hours prior and specifically requested something in writing, which Mrs. Ray acknowledged at the time. Unfortunately, Wendy's demeanor was dismissive and unnecessary. I also reminded her that I never received an incident report for my son's injury--something that, by law, should have been given to me immediately without me needing to ask. Despite the negative experience with Wendy, I do want to express my gratitude to Mrs. Trina, Mrs. Ray, and Ms. Bri. Thank you for always welcoming my child with warmth and care. Please continue doing what you do--you truly made him feel comfortable and valued.

Miss Dorothy was super hands on when it came to assisting our son in potty training. they carry an open door policy for communication which is something I highly prefer when it comes to growth discussions and milestones of our kids. **** I cannot say enough great things about The Merit School…read moreof Stafford. My daughter just graduated from kindergarten here, and the education completely exceeded what we paid for school. We actually enrolled her a couple of weeks late, but her teacher, Mrs Sleydin, took her time and got my daughter acclimated to the learning environment right away. Here is what makes this school so special: *Individualized Learning:* They structure lessons to meet each child's needs. They know how to recognize children who are more advanced and those who need a little more help. Because of this, my daughter made incredible progress in reading and math. *Well-Rounded Activities:* I love the art, gym, and playtime. Plus, they offer great extracurriculars, tutoring, and before/after care. *Caring Staff & Community:* Every teacher cares about every student, even if they aren't in their classroom. The director, Sherry and the Asst Director, are wonderful in not only the way they run the school but their personal involvement with the children. The PTO also works hard to bring the best environment and value to the school. Every dollar spent on my daughter's education was worth it. If you want a school that truly delivers, I highly recommend them!

My son enjoys the music and language specials and has a great time in the after school programs. The campus is beautiful, clean, and secure. Well organized, the owner is also very nice, it's clean, reasonably priced, and all kids participate in recitals even the little ones. My only suggested improvement would be more seating area or a limit on the number of family members that can be there (1 per child or something) and that parents (myself included) just be told not to give "sideline" advice let the teacher talk, gets a little noisy with all the parents trying to tell the kids what to do when they aren't listening to their teacher.. but really the instructor is great!

Entertainment - 5/5 Facilities - 3/5…read more We signed my 4-year old daughter for swim lessons and this place has been great. Their staff is incredibly friendly. It only took my girl 3 lessons to go from being scared in the water to floating in the bathtub. The staff also do a great job giving parents updates and making the kids feel special when they move to the next level. The pool itself is also nice and big - with a large space for the young kids to learn while the older kids have three lanes to do real swimming in. They also offer affordable camps and have a shop with ample swim gear. I also like that parents have the option of sitting at the pool deck to really be up close and personal with their kids. That said, there are things to improve. They really jam a lot of people in there, so social distancing for the kids in COVID is basically impossible (especially those in the swimming lanes). It also often takes 20 minutes or more to get out because so many classes end at the exact same time and there simply isn't enough space to accommodate about 40 people trying to shower and change at once. The locker room in general could use a big upgrade as there are far too few changing stalls and toilets for the amount of people. At a bare minimum, it would be great if they had one or two of those swimsuit driers so we didn't have to cart wet gear home. But again, the main theme is that there is an awesome staff, nice pool, and great lessons. The service can't be beat!.

I grew up dancing myself, both of my daughters danced throughout their childhood, and now I have…read morethe joy of watching my granddaughters dance. With so many years spent around dance studios, I can honestly say I have never experienced one that felt so unprofessional, unwelcoming, and disorganized. Classes regularly started late, and there were three different teachers for the same class in a single season, which created no consistency for the children. The atmosphere also felt very cliquish, with teachers and staff mainly interacting with the regular competition families while newer and recreational families felt overlooked. The studio lobby and restrooms were often not clean, and overall communication and organization were poor. During parent observation times, the studio allowed people without children in the class to come in, making it difficult for actual parents and family members to comfortably enjoy watching their child dance. What disappointed me most was the obvious favoritism. The office staff often came across as rude and impatient, especially toward younger children. One example that stood out was a 2-year-old being rushed and treated impatiently while trying to choose a piece of candy, while another child connected to a competition family was freely given candy without needing to earn tickets like the other students. It created the impression that children were treated differently depending on how much money their family spent at the studio. Children notice these things, and families do too. Sadly, almost all of the children who started in the class at the beginning of the season ended up leaving. We were hoping for a positive, welcoming dance experience, but unfortunately that was not what we found.

I'm preparing you all for a lengthy review. It's crazy from…read more2-4 years ago to a year ago, 7 months ago and the two recent they pretty much have the same complaints and issues in regards to the studio being the definition of mean girls and treating students poorly. One of the recent reviews I saw left, the owner calls out a person named Jessica which my name is Jessica which is very crazy knowing I have had very recent issues with them that all of a sudden it's assumed I am associated with the person who left the review. I have no idea who that person is, I beleive the owner assumed he's my husband which if she looked up my account with the studio they will see A) my last name is not the last name of the review and B) my husbands name is on the account and his name is not the name of the review. So to call out and assume it was my family to leave that review is very unprofessional and unnecessary for false assumptions. The latest review after the two only star reviews that was left by kids of the studio and I know this because it's two very common kid names that are well known of the studio. The review before those two, the owner calls her out by stating they don't believe she's associated with the studio because they can't find her name in their records. Just because someone's name isn't in the record doesn't mean they haven't experienced the studio and entitled to a review. For example, my daughters grandmom takes the girls to their class every week for me. She's not on the account but she is well aware of how the studio is and has her own complaints about this place. From day one the parents who are clearly a part of the dance team and sit in the lobby are very rude and caddy. I watched a little girl come out of the studio and asked this one mom for help with her costume and the mom didn't acknowledge her and walked away. We have never been acknowledged when we come into the studio other than last Tuesday when my mom brought the girls all of a sudden the moms immediately says "hi girls!" Which is odd because not once have they ever said hi to them before and all of a sudden after the studio knows I had issues with them the very next week they all say hi? The thing that sparked my frustration the most is being told I have to pay for an entire month of May Tuition when the recital is on the 8th of May. Other studios ends the tuition once recital happens. I expressed how unfair that is and I don't care if it was in the contract. It's absolutely ridiculous. She first laughed in my face and told me she would send me to collections if I didn't pay and the girls wouldn't be in the recital which I already paid in full. This takes us to last Tuesdays class. As I mentioned after all of this we walk into the studio and get greeted. Very convenient. Then costumes were handed to my mom for the girls which also let me point out they were the only two to get their costumes Tuesday and all the other girls already had theirs and they were in class the previous Tuesday. The dance teacher asked for the girls to try them on before class but class was about to start but she kept pushing. So they did and then the dance teacher started the dance and my girls had to rush in so they didn't miss the start of class. I'm pretty sure my girls also wasn't measured and if they were they were measured severely wrong. My youngest who is 2.5 barley 30 pounds was given a size 4T/5T which fell right off of her and also how do they expect me to get her costume altered when the recital was 4 days away. So long story short I would highly reccomend to save yourself the heartache and pick one of the other amazing studios in the area for your dancer. Also be fully prepared for a bunch of excuses back from the studio on justifying their actions

I'll start by saying, I think a 1.5 would be more appropriate for this review but since Yelp does…read morenot allow that option, 1.5 will be rounded to 2. I called ahead to find out when their open play time takes place and then connected with a friend to arrange a play date for our two little ones (2 and 5). We were so excited to have a gym-like place nearby! The four of us arrived before the time indicated, only to find a couple of moms and babies sitting in the waiting area of All That Jazz. We didn't realize that ATJ and TT were connected but waited patiently at the front desk. After several minutes, we walked back to where the dance studio kiddos were practicing and didn't see an employee in sight. We decided to call the number and when a woman answered, we let her know that we had been waiting out front to pay our $10 to have the kids use the equipment in TT for one hour. She apologized that they were preparing props for a performance (which I get) but charged us the full $10 for the hour anyways. 1.5 stars gone. The space itself: Was just, meh... at best. The woman walked us back and turned the lights on and the air to one of the jumping pieces and that was it. No explanation on what there was to do, etc. and she knew we had never been. The girls figured out how to use most of the pieces but there were a few things we were unsure of and ended up avoiding in case they misused them and got hurt in the process. Another star gone for this part of our experience. I thought that maybe we would get an extension by 20 minutes (since that's how long we waited) but no, she came in at 11:00 on the nose and began shutting the power off, etc. Star docked. Bottom line: The open play at TT seems to be more of an after-thought. Their primary business is the dance studio and after our experience here I will gladly drive to Kingstowne to play at My Gym (which is where we've booked our little one's next party). It is *definitely* not worth the $10 entrance fee.
