Year built: 1991 Architect(s): Dan Maples…read moreGreens: Bent Grass Fairways: Bermuda Grass Season: Year round There are three different tee combinations on the (red/white/blue 9 hole courses). Each is challenging and has quite a bit of slope. I'd check the website for details. Carts, and clubs can be rented. We had our own clubs and did rent carts. Come to the club house for water break or snacks. There is a driving range and practice tee. Metal spikes are not allowed. The original 18 holes, designed by Dan Maples, meanders its way through valleys, hills, and woodlands. Then, in 1991, nine more holes were added with the same characteristics of the original design, becoming the area's (Jefferson County's) first 27-hole golf complex. If the course itself doesn't offer enough scenic beauty, you will often find yourself pausing to admire the views of the Great Smokey Mountains and Douglas Lake. Dandridge offers the same lush Bermuda fairways and Bentgrass green as it's sister course (Patriot Hills). All combinations are par-72 and measure approximately 6,100 yards from the back tees, 5,800 yards from the regular tees, and 4,900 yards from the forward tees. Dandridge Golf & Country Club is conveniently located just 25 minutes from Knoxville and 35 minutes from Sevierville/Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg. We had a nice round but only playing once a year, my concentration faded quickly in the back half of the course with temperatures rising. My more seasoned companions would say it was a perfect day for golf and I can't disagree.

Course was packed 8 minutes apart on tee times. Guys hit into us on hole 6 as we are on the green (…read morethe group in front of us just got to 7s tee box). One ball misses me by 5 foot second about hits playing partner. Guy behind us says ," You all are playing to slow I hit into on purpose to speed up we have 10 groups behind us. " I shout back the group in front just got to the box and they are waiting too. Called the pro shop Ranger did absolutely nothing. Said can't believe either side. Why would I call the pro shop if it was an accident? people miss hit or don't see people all the time. This goon straight up said " I did it on purpose.". if you want to play go somewhere else. apparently this course supports people trying to harm you.

The worst experience I've ever had during my numerous years of golfing. Not only have I golfed for…read morethe past several years, but I grew up in a neighborhood on a golf course and know the managers and how a proper establishment should be run. First off, I called ahead of time to confirm that the tee-time for 6pm I saw available online was still available. The grumpy old wrinkly prick who looks like a saggy sack rudely dismissed my question and said "tee time? We don't do those. Just show up and find out." We were making an hour long trip to get there which is why I called in the first place. Once we got there his attitude somehow got worse despite what we were expecting based on past experiences at other local courses. My friend and I had pre paid for golf cards that covered our visit through a local radio station and this man aggressively scribbled haphazardly on it instead of nicely checking the box like he should've. Our 2 other friends had to go in to pay and he was extremely rude to them as well. We had some fun golfing at first considering the awful condition of the course but once we got to the 7th hole the rude nasty man from earlier rode up to us on his golf cart to yell at us. He informed us that he received complaints of us taking carts onto the green and through the woods which we absolutely did not do. The closest thing I can think of is when one of my friends went to retrieve a ball she hit into the trees. He didn't give us the option to finish the 2 holes we paid for and instead told us we had to leave. He then proceeded to lead us through the green on the carts which is supposedly why they were asking us to leave. He also had been operating his cart under the influence of coors light and had an open container while driving. I have never felt so disrespected as not only a paying customer but also a woman. Never come here if you want to have a good time on a course.

My…read moreboyfriend's sister's wedding was supposed to be at the Country Club of Asheville and it was cancelled due to Covid. They still allowed them to use the space the following year being this year so we celebrated his mom's 60th. I'm so happy we used the space in December because the Christmas decor was BEAUTIFUL. The photos don't even do it justice! Food was also phenomenal. We got options of steak or salmon and I chose salmon. It was perfectly flavored and the scallops on the side were so cheesy, flaky, soft, and delicious. I also tried the steak and it had gravy on top so it reminded me more of deer meat and I wasn't blown away by it, however it was good. The dessert was chocolate molten lava cake with strawberry on the side and just trust me when I say it was the best dessert of my life. It was so rich so there was no way I could have finished it without feeling sick so I only ate half. My favorite part about the cake is that the top was hard and crusted and the second you go to take a bite, you find the soft center with the chocolate lava that spills out. How I imagine the sweets in heaven lol. The service was incredible and so were the drinks. I ordered a moscow mule and it was good. I also got a mojito and I'm so used to places telling me they are out of mint so I was surprised when I ordered it and they had all the ingredients. It was super well made and tasted great. Such a nice place for a birthday celebration and I bet the weddings here are nothing short of perfection. The location, view, staff, food, etc. is all incredible. I hope I have a reason to come back here one day!
