He recommended I see Dr. Sakamaki who he prefers to have handle the rear molar root canals. Dr. Sakamaki got me in IMMEDIATELY...much to my relief. Within an hour my root canal was completed and I felt so much better. Dr. Sakamaki was quick to confirm the offending tooth. I got a thorough explanation of what cases the need for a root canal as well as why the pain seems to come, go, and flare up again. The general anesthesia was nearly pain free when administered and they were able to get to work in 5-10 min. I got home and felt like a new man. Having not slept through the night for 4-5 days I got a great nap after lunch. I feel like a new man. I give Dr. Sakamaki my highest recommendation. He and his staff took great care of me. Could not be happier.

He warmly explained everything he was going to do. He gave me a countdown on how long the hard part, the numbing, was going to hurt. Him and his nurse were cracking me up as they worked concisely on my tooth. They actually gave me an ibuprofen in office. Which sounds like a small thing but made a world of difference once the numbness wore off. All in all it was a great experience. I left the office laughing and smiling. 10/10 highly recommend. I will be referring everyone I know to Dr. Shuler.

I've been in a lot of shitty situations in my life and have worked a lot of customer service, so I understand how to be a good customer and not give anyone hell. I read a lot of bad reviews on this guy and thought "hey, it'll be different for me. I bet most of these patients sucked" nope, they're right. The Doctor was rude and downright cruel. I had warned them that I was very nervous as I haven't ever been put under for any procedure in my life, so I needed a little extra reassurance. The doctor went on and on about his dog dying (which isn't fun to hear when you're already nervous) and how he liked my dog tattoo which was in full display where they injected the IV. Maybe not the best topic to bring up as I'm being put under. One of the last things I remembered was him SCREAMING at the nurse for no real reason. I also saw him drag a kid out of surgery and not very gently either. I don't remember leaving surgery I woke up on a chair in a separate room with my friends asking if I remember anything. I started puking up blood and no doctors or nurses came to help me for like 10 mins, so my friends had to grab a trash can to give me something to puke into. No wheelchair no nothing to be moved into my car. The medicine wore off within an hour and I had to wait almost 6 hours to get any meds because they made us bring the scripts to the pharmacy rather than call it in. This was a problem because I was in intense pain for hours after, with no meds. I have a very very high pain tolerance and I was still sobbing in pain. I got conflicting instructions on paper; e.g rinse with salt water 4 days after surgery, and then another paper they gave me said to do it after 24 hours. They also said I can eat solid food after 72 hours even though every other resource said no solid food for 7 days, especially since I have TMJ. They took only about 30-45 mins for surgery when I've seen most surgeries take 25 mins PER TOOTH. They also cracked one in half and wouldn't let me take that, so I only got 3 out of the 4 teeth back. I've never been denied of my teeth after an extraction before, and I had one that was almost fully broken from another dentist. Dr H also acted insanely rushed and like I was inconveniencing him by having an appointment?? He also said something along the lines of "I normally wouldn't do this but I'm breaking my own rules right now haha" when he was injecting me with the anesthetic... Idk what that was about... I would never ever recommend this place to anyone. So. much. screaming. I would rate 0 stars if possible.

Through surgery Dr. Cook removed the abscess and all was well. This summer I started developing a tooth ache over the same tooth every time my sinuses acted up. On Labor Day weekend I was in agony. Come Tuesday morning the pain was completely gone. At my hygienist appointment in late September the hygienist took extra x-rays and did a thorough exam. She and the dentist that was at the practice that day decided there was no dental problem and that it must be my sinuses. In the beginning of December I once again was experiencing an excruciating tooth ache. My dentist, Dr. Renshaw, worked me in immediately. Sure enough the x-rays that day indicated I had an abscess above the root canal again. He prescribed antibiotics and made a referral to Dr. Cook. After our holiday vacation I had my appointment with Dr Cook. Dr. Cook is an excellent Endodontist and quite honest too. I said I was no longer having the toothache and he said that was because the abscess was draining. Upon examination and x-rays taken that day he indicated that his 30 years of experience tells him that redoing the root canal via surgery would not cure the problem. Although there was still a small amount of abscess the true problem was a crack in the root. Unfortunately, the cure is to have the tooth pulled and have my existing bridge redone. So I'm back to Dr. Renshaw to get a treatment plan. Thank you Dr. Cook for being honest about the true situation. 2023/ #11

Each cleaning and exam always ended with a warning to have a tooth extracted because of some imminent failure of a crown, old filling or a cracked tooth - none of these teeth were causing pain or other problems, but I was warned that I'd soon be calling "in middle of the night" in agony. WRONG. I still have these teeth nearly five years later! I have a new dentist. Two of my teeth have had the old fillings replaced and two teeth are on the "watch and wait' list for possible crowns. Do your due diligence. ALWAYS get a second opinion on elective procedures.

Humiliated. I went in for an extraction. I was terrified…read morelike anyone sane would be while getting a double extraction awake. I had a panic attack and my bedside nurse said That's how life is because I was wishing I could be put to sleep and was hyperventilating. I don't have pocket money to be put to sleep, I had to push through it. Only one person showed compassion, and it was a lovely woman who brought me a blanket and pillow and told me to squeeze the pillow while the doctor was pulling my tooth. Either The doctors don't have the license to prescribe anymore than Ibuproferen or they simply don't want to, because all they gave me after the procedure was ibuproferen 800s. Did I mention they pulled an infected tooth? Didn't give me any antibiotics afterwards either, I had to get them from urgent care which while I was there said that ibuproferen thins the blood which is why my sockets wouldn't clot. Im a bleeder to begin with is what I told Mr. Watts. He said that's all he gives. While having the procedure Multiple different people stood in my doorway and watched as I was getting it done and honestly yes I was still uneasy and I was still crying and no one gave me privacy, there was atleast 7-8 different people who I didn't even know stand there and stare at me while I had the worst day of my life. I remember one person saying in the hallway "Quit crying and just do it." I did feel the tooth come out. I was given 7 shots of novocaine and it was so sharp and it hurt and it's because I had a hook root, and it was infected which the dentist neglected to tell me about. He dropped an instrument and did not have steady hands. His eyes were so squinted I couldn't see his eye color. Unless you want to be traumatized and be made fun of, don't go there. Find somewhere compassionate and humane. -100/10.
