The surgery went well. However, they gave me an 'estimate'…read moreof $273; which they made me pay before they would schedule the surgery. After the surgery, they billed me $720. This is 260% than what they estimated. How can this be acceptable?? how can this be allowed in business??? Do they get you in, pull your teeth so the Doctor gets paid, then leave you with the balance with no consequences??? Their estimates are useless. Be sure you get pre-approval before committing.

First, the office experience was horrible. I was asked to arrive 15 early for my appointment…read more Apparently this was to complete paperwork even though I had completed and submitted this paperwork on line per their request via a link they sent to me. My appointment time was 1:45 so I arrived at 1:25. Shortly after 2:05 I was finally taken back to an ante room for X-rays and was told that they wanted to do their own X-rays even though my dental office had sent them a perfectly usable X-ray. I was informed that I would be charged for this. Understand, all of this was for an upper incisor extraction and I was just there for a consult. After a discussion ensued they suggested I go ahead and meet with the doctor. After waiting another 20 minutes he finally showed up. He said he didn't think a new X-ray would be needed. He then asked if I had a driver with me, indicating he was willing to do the extraction right then. I told him I didn't have a driver since this was just supposed to be a consult. He then said he thought he could do it 48 hours later but I needed to find out from the scheduler. They then returned me to the waiting room for 10 more minutes before I could meet with the scheduler. She eventually told me they could do it four days later but I couldn't since my wife couldn't drive me that day due to her doctor appointment. She then left to go talk to the doctor. Five minutes later she returned and said they couldn't do it until more than two weeks later and it would be at a different location. Just then, the doctor walked back up and asked when we were doing this, I told him the date to which he replied, "That's really not too bad, sometimes we're two to three MONTHS before we can get someone in." At that point I said I would pay the $82 for the "consult" but would have to get back with them about a date. The office was extremely slow and disorganized, they tried to sell me an X-ray I didn't need and they couldn't seem to figure out their own scheduling system. In addition, the "Oral Surgery Office" is located in a storefront of a strip shopping center and is wedged between a pet shop and a Chinese restaurant. It's dingy and very unprofessional appearing inside and out. Too many red flags for me. I'll go elsewhere. I'd suggest you do too.

This office seemingly stays booked up. My college son was referred to have a tooth removed in order…read moreto get round 2 of braces. Did you know that male jaw growth can continue and cause shifts through ages 16-18 or so? Requiring surgical corrections and/or second round braces. So.... even once done with a first set of braces keep up on at least a yearly orthodontist check so if correction is needed you catch it before we did. It took months to get just the patient consult appointment and by then we had to take the only date and time for surgery available that would be in enough time to heal, get the Invisalign with a fake tooth built in, & head to college by early August. It was very stressful cutting it this close! However, the oral surgery went smoothly! We checked in not too long after 9 am and he was back to the room for surgery by 9:45 a.m or so. I was invited to go back with my anxious son until time for them to put him under. He took longer than anticipated to come out of it and I got to go back & check in on him then pull the car around while a staff member walked him out. Discharge directions about medications and use of a prescription mouthwash as well as keeping gauze in his mouth until bleeding slowed, and soft diet foods and recovery timeframes were clear. We added in use of the highly recommended by friends face ice wraps which helped pain & swelling significantly. If facing wisdom teeth removal, order the face wraps with ice packs that Velcro around top of your head holding the ice pack holder to your cheeks/jaws. We ordered two on Amazon and had them in freezer before surgery to trade out every 20-30 mins the first 24 hours & a few times daily after. 20% of estimated bill is due the day of surgery or before, pretty standard. No follow up unless a problem post op.
