I have never in my live been to a pet to a vet clinic and them make me stand outside in the cold and rain, until I came here. Then when they finally let me in after 15 minutes while my dog had one seizure after another.... The woman took my dog out of my hands and said just give me it, while the other woman behind the desk said ew don't touch it, it probably has parvo..... I mean so rude and disrespectful. And this cost Was over 1,000 they didn't save my dog it stayed over night because they said it should, then the next morning they said nobody was there over night they don't know how it died.... read more

I wouof give this place a -50 if possible. Absolutely DO NOT take your beloved fur babies here! This place scammed me and I'm still paying for it. A few years ago during Covid, I took my elderly cat Krackerz to this vet. I had just moved to the area and picked this one based on the fact it looked clean and could get me in immediately. My oldest cat had suddenly got sick & her symptoms were scary because she was having trouble breathing normally. I was broke and waiting for payday & actually had to make a gofundme to raise the money for the vet visit. I was lucky enough to have friends that sent me around $300 so I could go immediately. The first visit the vet that I saw basically blew off my concerns and said she probably just had cold and wrote her a prescription. I wish I could remember the exact medication but it was something very light. And as I told them about the situation, somehow I ended up getting billed for $250. For the next five days I gave my cat the medicine and she just continued to get worse. I took off work because it was clear she was on her deathbead. Krackers was struggling to breathe and could no longer get around. She was dragging her back legs. I cried everyday hoping that medicine would do something. As soon as I got paid I took her back to the vet. THIS VET, regrettably. The office had me drop her off inside and I had to wait in my car due to Covid restrictions. I had told them what was going on and was told the vet would call me to discuss after he checked her out. I waited 3 hours!!! I finally called the office and told them I wanted my cat and I was going somewhere else. The thought of my baby basically dying sick and being left alone for hours was it for me. I was furious! And suddenly I got a call back from the receptionist saying he was done. By the time I got inside they already had her in her carrier and another prescription for the same stuff. I told the receptionist that they didn't do shit except write a useless prescription and I wasn't taking it and as she rattled off the cost I made it clear I wasn't paying for a service I didn't receive. I actually had to drive 1.5 hours to an emergency vet and ended up having to euthanize her At that point I didn't have money for emergency bloodwork and I couldn't bear to put her through another week of suffering. She was dying and Corbin Vet Clinic did not give a sh*t at all. Fast forward four years later and I am STILL GETTING BILLED. And now it's moved to collections. In retrospect, if I chose a different vet my cat may have gotten a blood test when I had the money right then and maybe a different outcome. At the least, she wouldn't have been treated with such disregard and left to suffer. It makes me sick the way they so callously took advantage of my financial state and dying cat. I dropped off my dog to be spayed at 8am this morning. I had called a month and a half in advance and we got there early. Staff was very nice but I was told they would TRY and see my dog today. That was not what I signed up for. I made an appointment and took off work for today. I was not told about keeping hey overnight over the phone. I am very unhappy about their inability to keep an appointment. It takes an hour to spay a dog. If I make an appointment for 8 am I expect her to be in recovery by 10/11, NOT still waiting, stressed out in a kennel, hungry. Edit: 1pm and still waiting. Went ahead and called and she hasn't been seen yet. So glad I got here at 8 in the fu$#&@g morning! Edit 2: she is finally on the table at 3:45. She had spent 8 hours hungry, scared, and in a crate in a loud room with strange dogs for a 45 min procedure. read more

I don't know why the negative energy against the Corbin Animal Clinic is all about! We live and we die as humans and animals are the same ! I have been dealing with them for 25+ years and they have been good to me and my animals! I moved to Knoxville and my cat got feline lukemia and I had them test her for everything and my bill was $1250 and there is nothing a vet or you can do when a animal has cancer! I was in Knoxville and they handed me my cat , out of the freezer , in a bag and a bill for 1250. I wish I was back in Corbin at the clinic! He would have tried something but the one in Knoxville don't care! Another example is my dog CiCi , Pitbull, 13 years old , well behaved and very very sweet dog! Her throat in one day just swelled up and she could hardly breathe , much less eat or drink! I took her to the CAC Corbin Animal Clinic and he felt her throat, spine etc and said she had cancer , I cried like a baby at 45 years old. She is my best friend and I'm not ready to let her go. The vet doctor told me there is nothing we can do! I cried so hard! He said I can give you some meds and we can try but she only has a short time left but atleast you can take her home and find some closure. He gave me pain meds for her and other medicines to help with the swelling! I gave her the meds 2 times a day and the 3rd day I woke up and she was acting like a puppy! Wanting to run, wrestle, play, hunt , and be with me! She hung on me til about the 5th day (. 2 days of having her acting young like a puppy) she couldn't walk anymore , her arthritis just flared up and she couldn't get on the bed, eat, walk, poop or pee! I knew! That doc was right , it's just a matter of time! He told me when I left , to call him anytime and he would be ready anytime for me to bring her in and put her to sleep so she can play in Doggie Heaven! So I did call him after some serious talking with my wife , it was the hardest decision I ever made in my life and I cry now As I tell you this story! He took her in and let me hold her while he put the needle in her and she stared at me and then all of a sudden she peed! The doc told me she was gone! And I'm still hurt today. I will gladly share my pic of CiCi and my experiences but don't ever think that the vet does not care or don't know anything cause he does! He deals with people and animals , lots of them everyday! He don't have time to hold your hand and wait for you to tell him you love or hate him, he has a job and it's not all about you or your animals, there are other people out here that's waiting for you to go so they can get care for their animals. CAC is a great place! You just ain't giving them the chance or the opportunity to get to know you or your animals. Leaving your animal over night to get spayed or fixed is normal! If you bring them in At 8am cause that's when your scheduled don't expect to get the dog at 8pm cause they have procedures to! Have to make sure the dog can pee or has a bowel movement before releasing it to you. If they don't care about you or your animal , you would have gotten them at 30 min after the surgery regardless if it owes or not, that's not caring! Don't point your finger at someone cause you waited to late or because something happened to your animal. I brought my indoor male cat in for a neutering, micro chippping, nail trim, and flea and tick prevention. My cat only stays indoors, he has never been outside and has never interacted with another animal. When picking my cat up from this facility it took them arnd 15 mins to bring my animal out which was a little frustrating but I understand people can get busy. After bringing him home, ironically enough, I found several flea's crawling around his face that were obviously not there before dropping him off. This was only after removing his IV bandage from his left arm (the right arm was removed) that had been forgotten from over 24 hrs prior. I am not one to complain often but after spending 320 dollars I do not expect to spend more to cure the fleas my baby has now contracted. I am very dissatisfied with the experience we have had here and needless to say we will be finding another clinic. read more

I was trying to talk to her she stated take it up with corporate its policy and hung up on me....I tried to call back at least 3 or 4 times, she would not answer so I texted the Dr., who said she was busy, short handed ,all the contrite nonsense they say, when their employees are rude and probably lazy...I stated" it seems the cost of the dental work" was their major concern which was denied by the vet, last time I took my dog in there it was so costly that I determined not to get their shots there again, I also stated these are animals not humans.... why do customers have to buy their mansions... .its a racket and I will not go back been taking my animals there since Dr. Majors was there now he was a good Vet.. read more

Everyone was nice enough, but when I went in they barely did any physical assessment. They just said he had nerve damage and then gave him pain meds. I took him to advance in Richmond. They did an X-ray and found mega-colon, plus an oversized bladder. He also did have nerve damage. He is on a specialized diet and has meds to help his Gi tract work better. Wish I didn't have to do two vet visits to find it out though. read more

I'm new to the area and had an appointment at this facility for new puppy check. When I entered the lobby both receptionist acted like I didn't exist. I sat down waiting to be called. Finally when called I was told I didn't have an appointment! I was in earlier the same week purchasing flea medicine and gave my information to the receptionist who entered it into the computer.... supposedly. I say supposedly because I was nowhere in the system. Not only is the front office staff rude but the entire environment of the facility is dirty and unwelcoming. Furthermore, the pandemic is over so you need to take down your mask signs at the door and relieve these poor ladies of their masks perhaps the reason why they are not friendly and unprofessional is they can't breathe! Perhaps the masks are an excuse for bad behavior? I'm relieved I never got as far to see the doctor. I would have to question their credentials! I'll be going elsewhere. read more

This Practice is all about PROFIT.!! Extremely Overpriced.!! Office staff is Rude, & Office Mngr. thinks she is Above the Clientele. She had an Attitude from the onset of my appt. I (with my dog ) was a first time client. When Vet entered the exam room, No routine office procedures were performed. I had to request that she listen to my dogs heart & lungs, check ears (which I feel was done superficially.!!) Meds were ordered for my dog. They refused to provide a script for ordering meds from 800-Petmeds; Stating "Corporate Policy." They filled the script in office @ more than a 500% markup. When I requested to speak directly with the vet in reference to this, as well as, what is inclusive of a 1st. time office visit, service provided/or lack of, she refused to allow me to do so. She was extremely defensive & combative.!! She said that they were short staffed, working through lunch, & long hours. I responded with "I'm Sorry, but with all due respect...Not my problem, nor does it address the issue @ hand, & I would really like to get some answers... New to the area. Finding a decent vet is always hard and one with decent receptionist rare. Except for one receptionist who has never smiled once, everyone was very kind. I enjoyed talking with Dr Davis. As with people doctors I advise people to ask questions, push back on treatments you don't understand and be involved. Dr Davis let me ask questions, give my thoughts and worked within my comfort level. Looking forward to working with them for my animals optimal health. Had to reduce my rating due to the fact I found out they only give annual rabies versus 3 year as is law in KY. I actually was an activist in my county before to change it from one to three after the first one since you are unnecessarily pumping toxins into your dog. Scientific studies have shown 3 years is sufficient. This is a revenue stream and do your research. I like the vets but they definitely will not be over vaccinating my dog. I hope the office manager does research as this is not supported by the countries top vaccine expert. read more

Do not take your pet to Corbin Animal Clinic!! We took our Boxer to get x-rays of his hip, he was fine walking around, wagging his tail before he went back for the x-ray. When they brought him back from x-ray they opened the door, got him thru the door then she dropped his leash on the floor then shut the door and left. Our dog could not walk, he was dragging his back end. The doctor came in and said if we seen blood around his mouth that he had hit his face and continued on like nothing was wrong. We told him something was wrong with our dog. They lied, tried to cover up the truth, made excuses of why he might be like that other than what really happened. Our dog was dying in front of us and they took their time trying to help him. They wouldn't listen. Their oxygen machine to give him oxygen was not working properly, none of the hoses fit the mask, she tried Taping the hose to the mask with medical tape. They were unprofessional, uncaring, slow to do anything the whole time. Our dog died right there on their table. We brought him in for a simple x-ray and due to their negligence we lost our beloved dog. It has been very heartbreaking and traumatizing. They deserve to loose their license!!!! We had just got our baby, an America Pitbull Terrier. He had gotten sick and they worked with me to get him seen and treated. Without the help of their vet and the help of caring staff I don't know what would have happened. I am so grateful for everyone there for their help and advice. If you care about your pets in the least, do NOT take them to Corbin Animal Clinic! My parents took their cat there multiple visits in the last two weeks and the most concern that was shown by Dr Hamblin was ensuring he received his $135 fee for seeing an emergency. He ran multiple tests on our cat, except the feline leukemia test. In all, my parents spent $1,000 and was told their cat was fine and that he had gingivitis and needed his teeth cleaned. Our beloved Fuzzy Cat was not fine, he could barely walk when we got him home, wouldn't eat and was drooling profusely. Long story short, we just got home from the Emergency Bluegrass Animal Clinic in Lexington and had to put Fuzzy Cat down due to testing positive for feline leukemia. It's not so much about the $1,000 wasted at Corbin Animal Clinic, but that Fuzzy Cat suffered for a solid week due to the inaction of Dr Hamblin, and I use the term Dr loosely. I would highly recommend Dr Culver in Williamsburg for your pets. He and his staff are awesome...don't waste your time, money or the well-being of your pet with Corbin Animal Clinic! read more
