This just reinforces my feelings of distrust, and proof that I chose correctly. If you cannot question or advocate for your pet, that proves ego is more important than the animals. And, they misspelled my name. The story: My little 10# dog had her 2nd dental by Dr Tabor. When I got her home she started crying, a wet cough and runny nose. I called the office and was told that I could pick up pain medicine in the morning. It was 330PM. I had to carry and walk her for 12 hours while she cried and coughed. I won't write about the calls back and forth. When Dr Tabor finally called she let me know that there was nothing that could've been done to prevent/alleviate my dog's suffering. Not acceptable. I have had 11 of my own and 6 foster dogs in 3 states. No dental has been like this.

Butterscotch has pancreatitis and this so called veterinary didn't prescribe any antibiotics or pain meds. My sister sent me a picture of Butterscotch and I could tell she was sick, and I'm not even a vet, but I have compassion for animals. My sister left 2 messages to the vet to call her. No response. I had a phone conversation with her, and I was talking and she thought it was funny. I asked her what was so funny, maybe the veterinary board would like to know. After that, she wasn't laughing at my conversation. Butterscotch has an appointment with another vet tomorrow, soon as she could get in and I hope this vet takes Butterscotch's illness, more seriously. Update: Butterscotch saw a different vet and she has stomach cancer. Big difference between pancreatitis and stomach cancer. 6 days later after her visit with Streeper, she's too weak for surgery. Shameful!!!!! RIP Butterscotch

Just a few thoughts on the Marion Animal Hospital in Marion, Iowa…read more Have had pets all my life. Have had many vets because have moved around Iowa a lot. Marion Animal Hospital is the best vet clinic I have ever had. Dr Bock and Dr Kahler and their staff are caring, competent, and understanding. My Maggie was sick on a day of a blizzard. I called and they said to bring her right in. Dr. Bock checked her over and treated her with an antibiotic. Also gave her some cans of Prescription Diet food which she eagerly ate. She hadn't been eating. She is now a happy little poodle! My Izzy had developed diabetes. Dr. Bock tested her blood sugar until the amount of insulin was correct and she is a happy little poodle. The staff was so good to her that she almost runs into the office! A big thank you to this great group of caring people. My poodles and also my kitties are very happy and healthy because of the care they receive at the Marion Animal Hospital! Would recommend the Marion Animal Hospital to everyone!!
