This will be a bittersweet review. I am someone who considers marriage as sacred. Unfortunately…read moremy ex-wife of 25 years didn't believe so during the last few months with her adultery. And with her not willing to save our union, she left me no other choice than petition for divorce. My assigned attorney Keith Johnson and his assistant Crystal Aparicio, in a sympathetic tone explained to me that despite my feelings, this needed to be treated as a business transaction with my interest taking precedent. The result was a final divorce decree that took place faster than the minimum 30-days; my pension left untouched, and stipulation that I could live with. Yes, that whole time felt like a living hell, but the staff at the firm were always available to contact and made the whole process as smooth as possible. I would never recommend needing a divorce attorney, but if there is no other choice - please contact these folks. They provide a degree of light during a dark time in life, and I thank them.

He kept things in a true perspective of what is actually possible, and what is just a hope for the future. I recommend him and he is just a very nice guy as well. He is licensed in Utah & California. He will also be given free BBQ if he visits Texas! Family law sucks, but Ryan made it a less painful experience. Thank you for defending my family, and your support for ensuring with the case.

My husband and I knew we needed to get custody of his daughter for her safety. We met with other law offices, but we were always told we should just settle for 50/50 custody because Utah is a "pro-mom" state. We were devastated and life was getting harder and harder for my step daughter. The stress was becoming unmanageable at times. The constant worrying if our daughter was ok was physically and emotionally taxing. We found Jill and knew immediately we needed her. Jill fought for us and our daughter. She never lost faith in us, nor us in her. Jill, Sela, Luke and Emily are all amazing people! They eased our minds through the whole legal process and always kept us in the loop. We now have custody of our daughter and life is so much better! Jill Coil and her team at Coil Law are the absolute best! They are all very friendly and welcoming. I can't thank them enough for everything they have done for us! They truly care about their clients and their clients families.

She's Very kind, professional and a great communicator who doesn't take forever to get back. You can tell she cares about her job and her calling as a divorce/post family health/ good for the kids attorney. She cares about women's and children's rights and what's best for the kids and post family unit health in general. I am so grateful for Camille! Hire her if you're looking for the best! she's great.

I have worked with and against Carr Woodall and although I cannot speak to other attorneys at the…read morefirm, steer clear of Mary Bevan. My initial decree was drafted by Mary and we later found that the original decree was not enforceable for multiple reasons. Its amazing to think that anyone is trusting this firm with such elementary errors. The custody and child support arrangements were not legal or enforceable. Their office was unresponsive in attempts to correct the concern. Then we discovered that the assets and financial aspects of the decree were also unenforceable. What is left here? An entire divorce decree is separation of family, assets and finances. They couldn't handle a single portion properly. They were happy to mail/email copies of the decree to me (basic checking of a box) but aside from that they (Mary) is incapable of managing a case. So now both on a basic and much larger legal advice/representation/decree formatting and drafting levels we have errors. I hired a different attorney to modify the decree. All attorneys and the mediator agreed that the handling of this was laughable and it was an easy modification due to the absurd handling from Carr Woodall. I would suggest you work with a firm that will provide a legal binding decree and save money rather than writing multiple decrees because the original attorney at Carr Woodall cant handle a simple, non litigation case.

He was so adamant about going to Pearson Butler that he took me there himself in his car. It was an easy consultation and before I knew it I was getting treatment, getting a free rental car, and on the road to recovery. I have just received a larger settlement than expected and I am really happy that I went with Pearson Butler and I will certainly have them represent me again for a legal issue. Thank you Elizabeth and Matt!

I hired Mary Bevan to represent me during my divorce. While she initially presented a positive…read moreoutlook and said she would advocate for a fair outcome, the reality was far different. Her communication throughout the process was minimal, and during mediation, she admitted to taking her sick child to daycare, which I feel motivated her to finish fast that day. She encouraged me to accept an extremely one-sided settlement: minimal child support and alimony, no back pay, and no share of funds my ex withdrew from our accounts or retirement. Despite having strong evidence (including video of infidelity), she repeatedly dismissed its relevance and downplayed my concerns. She also failed to properly investigate significant financial discrepancies--over $60,000 in unexplained income on my ex's bank statements. I left mediation feeling blindsided, unsupported, and trapped. I called immediately afterward trying to withdraw my consent to the agreement, but was told I could not. Looking back, I wish I had a stronger advocate--someone who understood my situation and fought for a truly fair outcome. I do not recommend her to others going through divorce, especially if you're in a vulnerable financial or emotional position.

I explained my situation and decided to hire him. I didn't have the money yet but I called back a month later when I did to pay him and proceed with the help I needed. I was not allowed to talk to him without paying $75, so I just told the receptionist I'd pay the $1000 retainer plus $179 for the filing fee and he could call me for the details needed to file my "lift of stay" so we could evict some people that have been squatting in one of our properties for 8 months now. It took a week and a half for anyone from his office to call me. When he finally did, he was very apologetic and restored my faith in him and his firm. I was told we had to give the other party 30 days to object to our filing. I waited and found at the 30 day mark that they had filed what I paid for but then immediately withdrew it and did nothing for me. I lost 30 days and $1179 on a very important transaction in which we stand to lose about $200,000 in equity if we don't complete the proper legal steps to evict the people squatting in our home. I spoke to Jeremy after the other party's attorney told me what was on record at the court (nothing) and he was confused and said he'd look into it. His partner Ryan is the one that was supposed to complete the filing. I gave him 2 weeks to look into it and emailed to find out what resolution he had come to. No response. I waited another week and emailed again, still nothing. So basically, I paid $1179 and lost a month for absolutely nothing and this firm is unwilling to make any of it right. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!

I just wanted to point out that the exact same response was provided by Jeremy Eveland. He obviously didn't read my review or take it seriously. Again this shows their lack of concern even regarding my complaint(s). "Mathew, I was just notified that you posted negative reviews of me and my firm on the internet. Please explain why you did that? How can we resolve this amicably? Thank you, Jeremy" That's the amount of respect they have for someone writing reviews? If you want to know why I write a bad review.... Try reading the review before sending out a response. Oh and the good news is that they had contracted at 25% discount as I found their firm through an Employee Assistance Program, and well, they charged me the full amount of fees. Again, I recommend going to someone else somewhere else. They have no respect for their clients and even the disgruntled clients don't even get any attention regarding a horrible experience.
