She put a lean on my house the day BEFORE she filed the final stipulation. I told her to forget it because I didn't have any more money. She said no it's ok you don't have to worry about the money. I hired Zachary Starr to represent me in my divorce and he did a horrible job. I don't want to get into all of it but he let me sign a divorce decree giving my ex wife alimony for the length of the marriage. Since then I have had several divorce lawyers tell me that is rarely done and even my ex wife's lawyer told my current lawyer she was surprised that Mr. Starr didn't say anything. She just put it in there thinking my Lawyer, Mr. Starr, would not allow that it and would be reduced to half the marriage length. This potentially could cost me over $500,000! I understand that I signed the agreement and I am responsible for signing it. That said, you hire a lawyer to know what they are doing and to watch out for you since we didn't go to law school and don't understand everything. Mr. Starr definitely did not watch out for me. If Moody Brown Law lets a poor lawyer like Mr. Starr work for them, I would be very hesitant on hiring anyone from that firm. But for sure, do not hire Mr. Starr. Miles Brody of Moody Brown Law was not my lawyer or the defendant's but I felt it important to share my experience. Mr. Brody was a witness and former divorce lawyer for the defendant in the trial I was involved in. Lawyer Mark Barnes and his client, I will refer to as EJP, both stated Mr. Miles gave false testimony he claimed to have personal knowledge of. His testimony was deemed unreliable by the court. I was led to believe that Moody Brown Law was a reputable law firm, but it is appears it may not be so. Perhaps Mr. Miles gave false testimony in attempt to "zealously defend" his former client, but EJP stated he made outright lies. It was very sad to see his reputation torn apart and ruined and I felt bad for him. I personally tried to defend some of Mr. Brody's testimony to no avail. Mark Barnes and EJP insisted his statements were bogus and I guess the judge agreed. It is up to you if you want to spend your hard-earned money on a lawyer that was accused of lying in a court to "zealously defend" you that later may be challenged. I would look elsewhere for honest and reliable representation just in case your lawyer's character is brought into question like it did during my trial. I do not recommend this firm or lawyer. Either Brody Miles or Mark Barnes is deceitful; it is not my place to judge or make the choice for you. read more

We used Brody. I can't in good conscience give him more than one star. Our case was agreed upon through mediation. This was, however the absolute worst case scenario if we went to court. What these lawyers seem to forget is if you have someone you call a client, you're in the customer service business. After a while, it gets really annoying when you're paying someone almost $300/hr and they ignore you for weeks, after missing a deadline they imposed on themselves. Never mind all of their bills are sent "due upon receipt". We spent 11 hours in mediation (with a week old toddler) and finished 95% of the agreement. It then took OVER SIX MONTHS to actually complete this agreement. Countless ignored emails, missed deadlines, and yes I have ALL those receipts. Zero urgency in getting this complete, I had to drag this across the finish line. Also, the excuse after missing a deadline by weeks, ignoring 5+ follow-up emails and saying "or sorry I thought I sent that email". That doesn't fly, especially when you use it multiple times, you're not fooling anyone. In short, if you're considering using this firm, don't. Run. Horrible value, horrible experience, horrible timeframe, just outright horrible. read more

My experience I retained Yeico for $5000. In the few weeks she blew through the money revising my divorce paperwork and defending a protection order, which she didn't even defend, Grant Dickerson was to defend it. Last minute he handed it over to Brody Miles (who did a decent job btw). But I do no feel I got $5000 worth of services. I retained another Law office in their stead. The entire time Yeico was constantly behind the eight ball defending motions but did not put any motions in herself. We were constantly playing catch-up and every time we made a move my ex had an attorney who was already ahead of us. They did not have an aggressive offense and left me in a worse position than when I started. read more

DO NOT USE GRANT DICKERSON!! I am writing this review in hopes of saving others money and the nightmare that Grant put me through. Simply put, Grant will literally agree to whatever your spouse's attorney suggests no matter how absurd the request. It has cost me a fortune to fire this guy and pay a new attorney to undo all of the ridiculous contracts Grant advised me to agree to. He does not fight for anything! Once he has your retainer you can never get a hold of the guy. His communication is poor and always at the last minute. I would receive a phone call from him letting me know that I need to appear in court the same day. It has cost me thousands to undo the Grant damage. My new attorney was shocked at what Grant and I agreed to. He has been able to overturn almost everything from health insurance for my ex to lowering my alimony. read more
