We visited Corazon while we were staying at the Hyatt. It is conveniently located on the first floor of the hotel which was very helpful for us as we came in late at night. Our server was very kind and helpful. I ordered the chicken and avocado sandwich which good but the chicken was so dry that the sandwich made my mouth feel like I was chewing sawdust. But with the addition of a side of aioli, and the sandwich was so good! It turns out it just needed a little sauce to be perfect. We also tried the banana bread pudding and it was divine. Its banana bread pieces turned into a bread pudding and the flavors were warm and strong and comforting. It was the best part of the meal!

I ordered the chicken pesto flatbread and it was missing a lot of ingredients that were on the menu. I've ordered it in the past at this hotel restaurant and it came as described. I'm not sure what happened this time but I would have appreciated it if they would have just informed me they were out of some of the ingredients so that I could choose something else.

I stumbled upon this place on accident! This restaurant is located in the Hyatt hotel in downtown Tampa. It was happy hour and I had the truffle fries and quesadilla (half off). I had a margarita as well. Everything was fresh and delicious. The inside is super cute and trendy. The hotel is pretty new so everything is nice and upgraded. The service was great and my waitress Milica was amazing. Definitely worth a try during happy hour or a nice dinner date!

In the past, I'd give hotel restaurants a bad rap. But that was then and this is now. Located in the Hyatt Place hotel in downtown Tampa, is Corazon restaurant- the definition of a relaxed vibe with a sophisticated soul. After a hectic and early Friday wedding ceremony, food was excellent when we had the chance to sit down and catch our breath a bit. Think Latin-themed menu filled with seafood, some plantains, green salad with Avocado, etc (with non-Latin foods as well). The bar is large, there's enough seating available and the style is banging too. Our server was wonderful, upbeat and boy... did my girl know the menu left and right because she didn't even write anything down. So much so, there was a curveball where my sister in law asked our server if the kitchen can whip up a plain personal pizza for her 12 yr old grandson and it was a "yes". My Truffle Fries were delicious. You know how you order "Truffle Fries" from some places and taste nothing like it? Not here. They were DELICIOUS. My only regret was not taking a second basket up to my hotel room! My Grouper Bites appetizer could've been a main meal- I kid you not. Those were plump, held their shape and the batter had the right amount of salt with a faint taste of heat in the back. While hubs and his sister shared a Charcuterie Board and enjoyed it. Not for nothing- but for our 1st time, Corazon sealed the deal instantly.

We came by for lunch before going to graduation at the Tampa Theatre. We were a party of 10 and had plenty of room as we came about 2 o'clock. Our waitress was great and very attentive. We had cuban sandwiches, chicken sandwiches and I had a avocado and chickpea sandwich with plantains. It took a little bit to get our lunches and one was missing so they did take it off the bill and give us warm chocolate chip cookies. My avocado and chick pea sandwich was very good along with the seasoned plantain chips. Everyone really enjoyed their sandwiches and french fries and salad. The bathrooms are a little bit of a maze to find but are cleanA and well stocked.

Evening view from the 4th floor Elevar Terrace. Love that fire pit!

The DJ was the highlight for me. Somehow he mixed urban with techno and it was a little bit of everything for every personality -- I loved it. The food and drinks were my LEAST favorite thing about the place, but I would surprisingly go back on a date or a cute night out with some my boo to enjoy the intimate vibes. This place is EXPENSIVE! $28 for a French 75 -- so correction, the price was my least favorite thing about this place. So along as you have a good budget, you should be good.

Although the music was a little on the loud side. We both had the California roll since it was the only cooked option and that's all we'll eat in terms of sushi. It was delicious! We also had the same drink, but unfortunately, I cannot remember what it's called. It had tequila and grapefruit juice in it and was pretty strong. It wasn't my favorite drink, but it was still cool craft cocktail. I would definitely like to return another time for a girls night, but it's noted that reservations do need to be booked out in advance because it does seem to fill up pretty quickly. Lastly, the service was excellent and very attentive.

I just wish the happy hour selection was better and quite small, but the $12 burger and beer deal is great. Expanding the happy hour menu could bring in more business earlier and create a more lively atmosphere before the evening rush. Definitely a solid spot with room to improve.

We were seated at the corner table so we were able to people watch. Our server, Brianna, was super nice and very attentive. I never had to ask her for a refill on my Coke Zero; she just kept them coming! We started with some shareables for the table. Kung Pao Brussel Sprouts which were done just right. We also ordered a half cheese, half pepperoni pizza to share. I've never had a "Columbus-style" pizza before. If you're wondering, the crust is somewhat thinner than most pizzas, but not a thin-crust pizza. The toppings are spread all throughout the pizza to the edge, and then cut it in squares (Tavern style). It was very tasty, with a slightly sweet note. My hubby and I ordered the Cobb Salad (without bacon) which was delicious. I really liked the onions on it. It was very fresh and they served a generous portion. Hubby ate the whole thing, but I had the rest of mine for dinner. So good! Two of our friends ordered the Truffle Mushroom Smash Burger and they loved them. I tried my buddy's tater tots, which he ordered with his French Dip. They were nice and crispy, but could have used some kind of flavoring, like Parmesan or truffle. Doesn't mean I didn't eat them all! LOL. The restaurant looks small when you enter, but in addition to the front dining area and bar, it has two additional dining areas, as you walk towards the back, and another bar. If you find yourself in the Channelside area, you should definitely try out Small Giant.
