    If you see a home is listed by Coldwell - or more specifically if April Struhs is involved - RUN…read moreTHE OTHER WAY! April's lack of due diligence cost my wife and I our entire life's savings. She sold us a home subject to land lease - a cash only deal - representing both the seller and us, the buyer. However, she "failed to realize" and disclose that the land upon which the home sits was pending sale. This land sale was made complete the same day we closed on our home. we learned this about 2 weeks later when we received notice that the land was being repurposed we needed to abandon or move our newly purchased home/investment - we never even got a lease as promised in the ad for the home. Sadly, the manufactured home is too old to be moved - even in this situation. You can imagine the stress this caused, especially considering we are a family of three with a new one on the way, now with little to no means to of finding a new home due to the precarious situation we find ourselves in. When we drafted a letter seeking some sort of restitution, we were met with a response from April/Coldwell that said this was our fault because we purchased the home while in Chicago (where we lived previously), so it was US who failed to do their due diligence. Apparently, if we would have made the trip and did the deal in person, we would have magically become aware of this material fact that was withheld, a fact that the realtor claims was not even discoverable. Maybe the trees would have whispered to us, or the ground would have shook in such a way that created the urgent sense that trouble was afoot. April claims there's no way she or anybody could've known. If that's true (which it's not), how were WE expected to be the ones to figure this out when purchasing the home? I should mention, there was an adjacent home for sale at the same time we purchased this home (fortunately, it did not sell). Coincidentally, my wife and I got connected with the agents who listed the place that did not sell while we were searching for a new home. We asked them about it and they told my wife and I that they were fully aware of the pending land sale, and they were transparent with all of those who viewed that home. I wonder why it didn't sell! In summation, be wary of Coldwell Banker Schmitt, and stay away from any sale that involves April Struhs. April, I hope the commission was worth it.

    This realty company is not ethical. They misrepresented a vacation rental to us. It was a dump…read more Following is my review of 106 Bayview to TripAdvisor: "This place is a dump and the web site was a complete misrepresentation of this rental. We were embarrassed that we had invited relatives to go on this vacation with us. The house stunk. It looked as if there had been an attempt at renovation but someone gave up. Outside, there were construction debris and a trash container with a hideous odor (which had obviously been sitting for some time beside the street). There were mold and holes in the walls both upstairs and downstairs. Some lightning fixtures were installed too near the ceilings and the paint was burning off. We were afraid to leave the lights on for too long a time. One load of clothes in the washer and dryer took a very, very long time to cycle. The linens were threadbare and the mattresses uncomfortable. We were seriously overcharged for this rental and will never return to Islamorada."

    I have used Freewheeler Vacations and recommended Freewheeler Vacations off and on for many years…read moreand have found them to be very accommodating. It seems to me that if someone has used a service successfully for 20 years and a problem arose that couldn't be rectified, that seemed to be fault of the client, is a pretty good track record. Sherry G and Courtney N and their 4 other guest should have gone to enjoy Miami or Fort Lauderdale. If given lemons, make lemonaid.
