I should have known I was going to have another problem with this office after my very first visit,…read morewhen I waited well over an hour past my appointment time just to be seen. Unfortunately, my most recent experience proved that this office clearly has no idea what is going on. I arrived 30 minutes early for my scheduled appointment at the Ormond Beach location, only to be told after checking in that my appointment was actually in Orange City. This was after three days of trying to reach someone to confirm the location -- and being told by their voicemail not to leave more than one message. No one ever called me back. When I finally reached someone after leaving the Ormond office, she said she would contact Orange City and call me right back. That call never came either. I drove to the second location on my own, only to be told I could not be seen and would need to make yet another appointment. By then, I had wasted half my day, two unnecessary trips, and my own gas because of their complete lack of communication and coordination. No patient should have to deal with this level of disorganization. My time has value, and I fully expect the doctor to pay the invoice I submitted for the time, mileage, and inconvenience caused by their repeated mistakes. This office needs serious internal fixes before more patients are affected. I really feel for the other patients that left poor reviews

I have suffered from multiple herniated discs, buldging discs, sciatica, misplaced hip, etc and have been to several chiropractors, back surgeons, Pain clinics etc, and hands down Dr Alberto is the best. He was hilariously funny, caring, personable, and really advocated for the best treatment for me. Having 3 small children it means the world to me and my family to be at my best, and now I can. My quality of life has improved amazingly, I can mop, clean not bend over in agony or worry about having to fall and sprain my ankle again due to my ankle losing mobility from prior nerve damage. I can take my kids to a theme park without being in agony trying to keep up my pace. Do yourself and your family, loved ones a favor, make a appointment with him and go see for yourself don't put it off,you only get one life and every moment matters!!! Thank you Dr Alberto, I will forever be grateful for you getting me back to this place in my life that I thought was no longer an option.

When my tolerance to hydrocodone/acetaminophen reached the point of constant pain with no relief, I asked to be given what I was on in Arizona, extended release morphine, according to hepatologist, the safest and most effective medication for people with liver disease, he flatly refused and said he does NOT prescribe morphine EVER. Instead he suggested ultram, a medication that has strict warning against use with liver disorders, had I not known this and taken the pills, it would have finished off my liver, and caused my death. After explaining that to him, he gave me the Fyntanal patch, a totally infective dose that the NIH showed pictures of needing 20 at once to be as effective as morphine, a polite way of saying it is useless for severe, chronic pain. His lack of knowledge of pharmacology is dangerous. Bottom line, if you only have minor problems, he is adequate, the staff excellent. But if you have any chronic serious conditions, he will not be of any help, or worse, can do you irreparable harm. When I tried to explain the problems with his ineffective methods, and provided documentation from the leading government agencies, he treated me like a skid row bum instead of a patient of 6 years. Like many of the Doctors in Florida, he should read what the Mayo Clinic told them years ago. A doctors job is largely to control pain, if they are not willing to prescribe the medications that do that, they should find another profession.

All I can really say is that I would never even consider seeing someone else. I would seriously drive hours just to continue treatment with him. He is a DO that does manipulation in addition to a somewhat traditional medicine approach. Some of the policies at this clinic are different than I am used to. For example, they drug screen every patient, each visit. This is great in the fight against opioid drug abuse here in central Florida, but has its draw backs too. What if I don't have to take a leak?! The office staff seems friendly and warm as well. I would HIGHLY recommend this clinic, and more importantly Dr. Kent for pain management and relief.
