Firstly, I must add that Cora's one of my all time classic favs breakfast joints; it's one of the very first breakfast restaurants I really enjoyed and just connected with their offerings over the years. Having dined at multiple locations throughout the country; with each being a pleasant and fulfilling dining experience. My first ever Cora's breakfast-brunch experience was in NL, it really put me onto the breakfast train; prior to that I would often abstain from having breakfast and opted for a bigger protein filled lunch. Now for today; this breakfast day started all the same as always, we arrived and were seated within minutes. Sanitized our hands prior to being seated as per most restaurant's health & safety "norm of the present" procedure. I started my breakfast with 2 smoothies, the strawberry-blueberry & the mango banana smoothie. Whereas my fiancé had a mug of coffee. Following up she ordered the smoked salmon eggs Benedict, meanwhile I opted for the bowl of oatmeal and ended up ultimate changing it to Jo Construction breakfast. Our food came out within a good amount of time; but I think the folks forgot to add the tastiness to the meals. My breakfast was bland, bacon felt like I ordered a side of bacon from one of the fast food places and even those are a bit thicker then the paper thin bacon I got. My fruits, awe yes the fruits; mostly weren't ripe, tasted off, my fiancé had strawberries/ blueberries that were mushed up, that had already started progressing through the rotting process, the melon tasted off as well. The breakfast sausages I got followed through on that off-putting consistency. We didn't finish any of the breakfast, we couldn't, we didn't enjoy the meals at all, and the only exception/ best part of the breakfast was probably the 2 smoothies I had, honestly can't mess that one up. And that's disappointing to me, I have eaten at some 10 different Coras locations with each and every one being consistently delicious, I visit each Coras with the expectation I am going to get that Chez Coras consistency from East-West Coast and vice versa. The lack of change in menu offerings or mastering what's offered at this coras location is just unbelievable. I have ate here about 5 times and each and every time has been worse then the last, never missing the point of disappointment for me and each party I have dined with. I got to give this location props on the downhill consistency, if anything I believe the dining experience is heading in one direction and maybe, just maybe, that is generally accepted as the norm now. I mean I could be totally wrong and there is no disconnect, which I highly doubt. I just don't know how a location that specializes in "Breakfast" can consistently go so wrong and totally miss the point and importance of it. My fiancé's smoked salmon Benedict was cold as can be and tasteless, not the first time at this location either. She's big on her Eggs Benedict at Coras. As I mentioned above her fruits were just off-putting as well, with the berries being rotten as well. Imagine bananas just tasted half ripe, oranges tasting like someone ripped them off the tree licking that juicy flavour we're all used to. Coras in GP didn't do those fruits any justice! Neither did they do their meals any justice! Other then the service of the servers here which are always just perfect, the food here completely took this location off my breakfast map. Definitely not planning on returning here anytime soon, I hope your dining experiences here is much more better than mine; happy dining! read more

I'm such a Cora fan. We came to the Grande Prairie location for the first time and it was just as good as everywhere else I had been. they keep coffee cups full, and the food is amazing. I'm a fruit fiend, and I will never understand how they always have such amazing fruit all the time. Two reasons this isn't a five star review: 1. I'm not a coffee drinker- I drink water in the morning to get my day going. Do you think I could get them to refill my water with the same vigilance? Nope. And they gave the tiniest little glass, so it didn't go very far before I needed a top up. I was a thirsty gal. 2. Are we short busboys? While we got there when it wasn't that busy, by the end of our meal there was a lineup out the door. We were feeling a little guilty about this until we looked around and noticed how many empty tables there were that just needed to be cleaned. It was fairly significant. Perhaps one of the 3 ladies at the hostess' table could have pitched in there and been a little more popular with the lineup. Overall we will definitely be back, and we will remember to be there early again! read more

I did enjoy going here and the service is amazing. No issue there. However the food was so so. The fruit was bruised and wilted. The strawberries where rotting on the ends. The toast was cold. The eggs where good and the meat. But what got me was one cup of tea was way over priced. 3.50 for a cold tea? They did offer to replace however it was still lukewarm. So what I will say is the workers. Amazing. The food. Ehh. Not impressed at the price for what you get. Most likely won't return unless I hear the food has gotten better. I tried this place five times. Different days. Times and amount of customers varied, it's good still isn't worth the money for what you get. read more

Got a seat right away after entering the restraunt. The restraunt was very cold but the waitress was very friendly. We received our food quickly but unfortunately my food (eggs Benedict with potatoes) was cold. The fruit was buried underneath my potatoes and eggs which for me was a turn off. Would come again for sure but next time I'm trying the French Toast or the crepes :/ read more

We love this location. The staff is always welcoming and always remember our favourite breakfast items. Not that it matters but it is nice to see some male servers. I had a very disappointing experience at Cora. First we waited in line for an hour while I seen empty tables. We were sat down. Our waiting came about 15 minutes later to take our drink order but we ordered food at the same time. My boyfriend order juice and the Cora special and I ordered egs Bennie dictine with beef and a small shake u asked a question About the menu and she had to look at was I was talking about and was not informative at all. I got my shake and it was upsized so I had to pay extra for what I didn't want and couldn't mention it cause the waitress was no where to be seen. We waiting one hour for our food my eggs were cooked wrong. And I had to saw at my food because I wasn't given a knife again no waitress. My boyfriend had to take syrup off the other table for his meal as he wasn't even offered it. We finally seen the waitress and just asked for our bill. We also noticed we didn't get our fruit we ordered and we mentioned it and the waitress blamed it on the cook and said I should have told her. I personally don't feel like I should have to remind my waitress what I ordered. read more

What a refreshing change! Fresh food and bright surroundings. Just had the best breakfast I have had in a long time. I'll be back!

The food is quite nice i liked the pancakes but we were all very disappointed in their bacon and the price of beverages were just ridiculous. The wait time was quite long we waited for 45 min and for groups of 5 or more there are only 3 tables so the wait will be very long... Otherwise i would consider going there again when i would be up to waiting for an hour to just get sat down... read more
