A gourmet selection of tasty tea, great WIFI and delicious pastries...what more could a girl who…read moreworks out of coffee shops ask for? Before coming to this tea house chain, I had heard rave reviews from friends, so when I finally decided to go, my mind was pre-blown (usually I try to keep my expectations low for places like this so I don't get disappointed but thanks to my friends I was super excited and expecting something great). As I got to the door I was hesitant to go in since I didn't know what to expect (I mean I did...apparently a great tea salon and cafe but I didn't want them to be wrong). As I walked in I was pleasantly surprised - the ambiance was even nicer than I had imagined! It is spacious, clean and cheerful; making for a great working space. I sat down in a small table (although there were many other nice looking areas this was the only one with a plug for my computer). The waiter promptly came over and handed me two different menus: 1 for the tea and 1 for everything else! Although I am not a big tea fan, I decided to order one anyway since it would make no sense to not order tea at a tea house (right?). Well, I met in the middle and ordered a Tea Latte, delicious and perfect for the cold winter day. I was only going to order a tea because I was meeting someone for lunch, but as soon as my eye caught a glimpse of their delicious dessert options there was no turning back. I got their Key Lime Pie (seriously good) and carrot cake (yes, I ordered two...I couldn't decide). Both were good but the Key Lime Pie won my heart. I also saw they offer brunch (my favorite meal of the weekend), although I can't vouch for it, if it is anything like the quality of their cakes and teas I definitely think it would be worth trying.

The manager (who happened to be from my hometown) gave us a free sample of one of their teas, which I found it to be a very nice gesture. I would be visiting again some other time.

This place is incredible. Talk about great healthy food and drinks. I recommend the bye bye doctor…read morefor a delicious morning pick me up. Brunch here is my favorite come here quite a bit! Love love love

Underwhelming…read more.. First, the service... Service was quite awkward and messy: the owner kept running around and kept speaking in either English or Spanish in a very stressed manner. I would speak in English he would answer in broken Spanish, I would speak in Spanish he would answer in weird English (I am French so I have an accent in both languages, maybe that's why). A new waiter was nice but did not really know what was going on so he always had to go back to the owner to ask (cue 10min more waiting time). What added to the awkwardness was the girls next to us asked to have something simpler than the whole brunch (one just wanted a juice and the other one something that was on the menu, like an omelet), and the scrambling service means it took them 20minutes to go back to them saying "no, we only do full brunch on Saturday-Sunday" so they had to buy a full brunch and take away the leftover as they had already ordered drinks. Now the food... All the items listed on the brunch menu make it sounds appealing, however a few were missing or had been switched (without warning). In the end the plate looks nice and plentiful, but there is close to zero actual cooking going on and the elements were not going together, at least not on the same plate (the warm slamon was on top of cold fruits, making a weird mix). Even more so surprising since it took them a long while to actually deliver the plate (had finished my juice by then). It was ok, nothing special. The cheese was flavourless, bacon was bacon. The caramelized grapefruit was certainly the most interesting piece on the plate, but hardly something to get excited about, it looks nicer than it tastes. The juices were very nice. I recommend taking the Large one since the Normal size is the equivalent to an expresso cup. Now the end... The price on the English menu were cheaper from the prices on the Spanish menu (between $1,000 and $1,500 difference per item). When the bill came they obviously charged us the most expensive prices without apologies or explanations. All in all A brunch without great creativity or taste. I can easily put together a plate of fruit with some cheese at home without having to pay close to $10,000 for it (and that's without the juice). Really struggling to understand how this can be tagged as a great brunch place in Santiago. Granted, there aren't that many brunch places to pick from, but on the food level it's similar to Tavelli... Go for the juice to go only

I have been coming here for several years now and was concerned that Patagonia might not survive…read morecovid. Much to my pleasant surprise, they are back, though sadly without the full menu. Instead, they have only a digital menu that's really paired down and most of the delicious sandwiches are long gone. On our most recent trip, we brought out-of-town visitors and their kiddos, aged 11 and 3. The oldest was not initially a fan of his chocolate shake because it was so dark and bitter, but the adults loved it (and it was sweeter once he mixed it). The youngest had his first submarino and loved it (highly recommend for newbies!). One ordered a hot dog, which was surprisingly good! The bread was very soft and tasty and the slaw was out of this world with a hint of sweetness and poppyseeds. A couple of us had the salads, which were great--the chicken option has quinoa mixed in and the mushroom one is extremely earthy. Unfortunately for us, the only jarra options for lemonade on our visit was plain (read: tart), though we would have preferred ones with berries or with mint + ginger. I'm glad to see PS is back open, but I do hope they bring back some of their classics like the Siete Colores sandwhich and the other with the fried egg.

I got a thick hot chocolate, although they have an option for a thinner one, as well as "submarinos" which is a bar of chocolate in hot milk. The hot chocolate definitely didn't disappoint. Has a nice balanced chocolate flavor that's not too bitter but still has a strong chocolate flavor. I was also hungry so I ordered a sandwich. My expectations weren't super high because it's a little place that specializes in chocolate, but don't let that stop you from trying the food. I got a roast beef sandwich that had caramelized onions, lettuce, pepper mayo and a fried egg. All of the ingredients were top notch and together just made a really good, gourmet sandwich. I'm looking forward to trying other things here. If you're in the area it's definitely worth the trip.

Luckily La Teteria came to Santiago about 4 years ago and they are definitely here to stay. They offer a large variety of different teas from all over the world, they are full leaved tea that you steep in a tea pot. If you want to replicate the amazing experience and aromas at home, they sell bags of tea (just like a bag of coffee) and all the accessories you need. If you are not sure which tea to pick, the staff are super knowledgable and will explain the different tastes and aromas and which tea is best for what you want. Not only to they have an amazing selection of teas, but they also have delicious pastries, specifically the blueberry cheesecake. This cheesecake will have your heart skipping a beat. Made with real cream cheese, blueberries and an amazing soft crust, it is the first thing you should order (then you can experiment with their muffins, pies and tres leches). If you are not in the mood for something sweet, they also serve simple sandwiches, quiche, all-natural soup (not the sopa para uno you usually come across) as well as salads. Their food is all-natural with fresh, local ingredients, making for a delicious final product that is good to accompany any tea. Tip: If you can't make it to La Teteria they offer delivery of tea (I am not sure about the cheesecake) you can order online any of the accessories and teas you would like. Call them if you have any questions on which teas they have available.
