They're all so happy and helpful and loved us! 3 even said they didn't want us to leave! The staff at the accommodation/reception, are awful, rude and vile. Discriminating against disabled/trans people for some unknown reason! And making up lies about us. Fully grown adults lying, smirking and making snide comments about us while we're staying with them.We hired two wheelchairs and one of them was broken. Staff at the park promptly changed it for us. It did keep breaking, sadly. The accommodation was nice and somewhat clean. One of the kitchen cupboards was full of sticky stuff, there were moths and spiders everywhere, cob webs behind all of the bed headboards (we only found this because a spider ran down behind there and we had to shine our torches down to find it and seen all the cob webs behind the headboard) and cob webs all over the ceilings, stained carpets, dirty windows, including hand prints. The accommodation was immaculate last year.We stay in the same one every year and were surprised to find toilets and a TV this year! (We called to book). That was a lovely surprise, as struggling all the way to the toilets, was a nightmare before, with being disabled. Although, the "paths" weren't equipped for wheelchairs at all. They're full of gravel/stones, which makes it impossible to use wheelchairs on it and there's no other hire options for disabled people. I.e electric wheelchair/mobility scooter, etc.The evening entertainment was brilliant! As always! Mostly the same as last year, but was great! We love joining in, in all the entertainment at The Adventure Zone. Although, the play area closes way too early, as the children are bored, while the adults are playing Bingo, etc. it should be open until The Adventure Zone closes, as the children don't have anything to do after 8pm, except the arcades, which are NOT cashless and you can NOT use the Crealy cards, as advised by staff. We were told we could use them "anywhere" then later found out there were many places, you could not use them. Look up the definition of cashless, before claiming you're cashless. Every time we wanted to use money, at the cashless places, we had to queue up in a massive queue outside of the park, to top up! If we wanted cash, for the "CASHLESS" places, which were NOT cashless, we had to top a card up, then get a full refund from the card and put the remainder on a new card. It was a whole nightmare! Not to mention the queues. To be told "they can be used anywhere" when they cannot, is ridiculous! You need to elaborate! Again, look up the definition of cashless, before claiming you've gone cashless. We didn't find out until the end of the holiday, that there was another place we could top the cards up - Reception. There were still queues, but nobody told us any information whatsoever about all of this, until the end.Not everything's made for everyone, sadly.. the Hideaways, for example. They're not wheelchair accessible. Stones covering all the paths and roads.. it's a nightmare for walking on, let alone wheelchairs. However, the park is built perfectly for wheelchairs and electric chairs. We hired bedding for £50, which says it includes towels and We received one Hand towel (6 of us).. we do this every year and last year, we all had a towel each, plus hand towels and others! Everyone else had towels, but us.We were forced to purchase toilet roll, as, apparently, it's not provided in the Hideaways, yet, even in the tents, you get toilet roll in the toilets. We had one the first day and none after that. The one we had, ran out after a couple of hours. We asked for some at Reception and was told "do they not have any in the shop?".. we said "no, we've just been and asked and we were told they don't sell it". So, even the shop, doesn't have what we require!! One lovely member of staff, went out to her car to get some for us, so that was lovely of her to do! (My son was on the toilet at the time)The Fish and Chip shop in The Adventure Zone.. closes at 3:00-3:30 and doesn't open again! It used to open for people staying, as well as those who come for the day, but apparently, we're now forgotten about. We needed to get tea, for the children and the only options we had, were the expensive options. "Plenty of places to eat" they say, yet, half of the places are closed! The Waffle Shack wasn't open once when we were there. 8 whole days. Not enough outside chairs at the accommodation, considering it's a 6 person accommodation. There was one small table and four chairs, so we couldn't eat together outside Comfort is a pain, as there's nowhere comfortable to sit, yet, in the cheaper one (Safari) you get a sofa! Even the beds were awful! We woke up in pain, from them, every single morning! You can feel the springs in the mattresses. review too long.

For ages 4-12, it's a blast - even better there's plenty of room a parent to go chill out while…read moretheir kids just zoom around. Good indoor space for rain, great outdoor rides too. Plenty of picnic areas, indoors and out - that's important if you're taking a few kids. The food is a tad pricey - like all amusement parks. Entrance fees are steep for just one day - but for a whole day and taking your own food and drink it works out ok. Best deal is the yearly pass. I really like the safety. I just go and chill for a few hours, read or computer, drink coffee, people watch... and the kids rocket around with plenty of staff to check their safety.

Possibly would have awarded this four stars if with younger children as it was aimed more at them. It was a little tame for the tastes of both hubby and my six year old son. I thought it was kind of charming - but perhaps not worth paying £12.00 a head for. The actual building is stunning from the outside and you cannot fault the views over the cove below. Inside the castle its been kitted out like a museum and is mostly home to toys, puppets, dolls and pier type animatronics and slot machines from yesteryear. Very interesting - but only enough to keep you occupied for an hour or so unles you are a fanatic. One whole room devoted to a large model railway- if you like that kind of thing. Also some grisly dungeons, and displays of old tools and farming appliances with some fairly educational information. Inside, and in fact then all the way around the park are amusement games and interactive displays which are made up from reconditioned old pier attractions. These are fascinating - but do be prepared with a ton of 1p- 10p coins to get them going - none of it is free! Outside there are a selection of childrens rides, again fairly traditional and slow paced - so more for the very young. Also there is gnome land which is bizarre, cute and disturbing in equal measures. There is a whole village of houses, pubs, etc,. where these gnomes live, and you can peer through the windows and observe them in their daily lives. Set in Woodland its very picturesque and mildly entertaining for adults - I am guessing young girls would enjoy this most. Hubby insists the gnomes were all models - but I am not sure!! Lots of traditional fun to be had also with crazy golf, a huge slide, and water fountains/ interactive displays. Not sure how you would fair in bad weather as most of the action was outside. If you prefer genteel and thought provoking rather than action-packed you may enjoy it here.

I took my daughters to Watermouth castle last year and they had a great time. There were plenty of…read moreactivities for them to get involved with. I found the prices fairly expensive as for a child over 14 years it is 12 pound so straight away that's 24 pound gone. My daughters got in for free so I suppose that was a good thing. My daughters favourite thing was when they were walking around part of the site where they had these little boxes where they had to press the button and when they did there favourite nursery rhymes played and little puppets inside moved. They were both racing to press the next one. They also enjoyed the water/light show I remember seeing this when I was younger. My favourite bit was watching them trying to find the golden nuggets amongst the sand. Other things that are at the site are: rides, tilting house for you to try and walk around in, old slot machines for you to play on, walk around the grounds, go through the gnome land and lots more, mini golf. Overall I would say this is a great place to go but I probably would only go there once a year.
