The most recent occasion was in November when I stopped in, I bought a book from the poet outside who was doing a signing and I really dug his verse. Once I went inside I didn't know if I was going to buy anything further until I looked to my right at the checkout and there was Turquoise paint. I'm an artist and I had just had a dream the previous night of a painting using that color. The only thing is, I didn't have that color at home and there it was. Not only that, but it was super inexpensive. So I picked that up. The friendly gentleman who rang me up said he'd like me to send a picture of the painting once it was done and I said I would. I finished it late last night and sent it to them. I also thought I could thank them here. I love this store and there's always something super cool that happens when I visit. Seeing gunslingers buried next to good folk in the desert is unique. The staff provides a brochure with little details on the buried, or as much as what was provided by family and friends. Admission is $6, kids are ok, along with leashed dogs. Plan to spend an hour if you like to read and take in sights. There is a gift shop if you need a post card or beverage. There is next to no shade, so dress accordingly (and wear your sunscreen and hat). For $6, it's worth it. Especially when in Rome, I mean, Tombstone.
