Unfortunately, I had a horrible experience with Coppersafe recently. They completely breached our contract. I am not going to go into details about the breached but I will say that the woman who I first spoke with was very rude. She tried to make me pay an extra money for their breach of contract. I am a paralegal and contract writer, I know how to read and disect a contract-- they breached it. Evety time I call, the women make my experience very difficult. It almost feels discriminatory. Everything of mine was completely ruined from the mold outbreak. Horrible customer service. If I could give 0 stars I fucking would.

My wife and I rented a unit from this place back in February. Had no complaints until June, when they increased rent by 30% from 169 to 219. Used to have a large Dumpster on site, it was removed around the end of June. This resulted in a giant pile of garbage collecting under the carport where the dumpster once was. Didn't get cleaned until THIS WEEK. ​ Sometime during the week of July 24th, company was made aware by another tenant of a serious mold issue. By the week of August 1st, the humidity in the building was still over 80% (climate controlled unit...? Hmmm) Sunday, August 6th. My wife and I walk in to find everything we own covered in mold, photos attached. The provided insurance doesn't cover mold. Our renters insurance won't cover mold. Copper Safe refuses any liability for any and all damages, despite the damage being a direct result of equipment failure on their end. Copper Safe made NO EFFORT to inform its customers of the mold issue so their belongings could be secured. They haven't even hung signs for HEALTH purposes!! My wife is 7 months pregnant. She walked into this giant health hazard without any notice or indication. Now everything we own has to be cleaned or thrown away and replaced, and my poor wife cant even step foot into the building to do anything with it. ​ I've attached a Google review that shows copper safe providing a full-stay refund to a customer for their complaint regarding ONLY the price. My wife and I were offered "1 month rent free" and a promise that the H-VAC system would be repaired soon. Customer service WILL NOT allow you to speak directly to any supervisor. The only method of contact is an Email, Admin@coppersm.com, which we emailed days ago and have gotten no response. When we explained this to customer service, she recommended emailing again. I asked what to do if they refuse to respond to this 2nd email as they have so far with the first, we were instructed to call back. You have to email, but if they don't respond you have to call so they can tell you to email so when the email isn't responded to you can call back so they can tell you to send another email. My wife and I are having our first child in 2 months. We've been using this unit to store everything we own while we purchase a home. There's over $15,000 worth of belongings in there, some of it priceless, most of it ruined because of Copper Safe's faulty hvac system, yet copper safe, their insurance, and even my own insurance, doesn't cover a dime. We were promised a safe, climate controlled environment to store our precious belongings. What was delivered was the destruction of 28 years worth of blood, sweat, tears, and hard work. No remorse. No recompense. No silver lining. If it was just my wife and I maybe this wouldn't be so bad but the worst part is we aren't even the first tenants to have this issue!! We are only one of many, and I pity ANYONE who signs a contract with this company in the future because like us, they probably don't realize the substantial risk they're putting themselves in regarding not only their finances but their health too.
