The food opened strong, with excellent sourdough and rended pork fat to represent Germany. We then moved to France with a perfectly seasoned beef tartare. The moules frites were a bit of a crap shoot, some of the mussels were overcooked and not particularly pleasant, others were perfectly cooked and succulent. The main of slow cooked goat was a revelation, with the goat cheese providing an unexpected but excellent foil to the goat's gaminess, and the heirloom carrots provided good contrast in terms of tartness. I think some were pickled.
There was a rather unpleasant fish dish that I won't go into and dessert and cheese to follow. Cheese was excellent but the dessert was rather underwhelming.
