Antiques, a great lunch spot, and... an apartment? Is there any of the "N More" that I didn't…read morecover?? Customers can dine among the antiques at table, booth, 50's style bar/dessert counter, or outside. I ate at the bar and easily struck up a conversation with a regular. I ordered the day's special, which was an open-faced brown beef sandwich with mashed potatoes, brown gravy, and green beans. Then, because it was staring at me, I had a cherry turnover for dessert. The beef was really tasty. It had some brown gravy on it, but it didn't need any for moistness. It was very tender and flavorful. I don't know what kind of bread was underneath it, but it wasn't some grocery bun. It had a complimentary firmness. The mashed potatoes were real mashed potatoes, not instant. The green beans were likely canned, but prepared in a way that they were firmer, not broken, and not drowning in juice. One of the cooks/waitresses heated up the extra flaky, cherry turnover for me. It was very good. All that cost me about $9. After I enjoyed lunch, I walked through the two stories of antiques. I found myself some lovely yard decorations for $10 and a glass chess/checkers set for just $2. And no missing pieces! The store has lots of collectible bells, plates, dinner sets, and antique furniture. Cast iron cookware for reasonable prices. Pewter articles. Everything was organized, so it didn't look like you were viewing a bunch of junk. My lunch agreed with me the whole time I shopped. Will definitely come back.

Stayed at this place for a month while attending Central Tech VoTech. At first all seemed well. I…read morepaid an extra $400 for the month to have a private room & bath. The only great thing I can say was the air conditioner worked well. The temperature while I was there was 105 to 114 degree's. I found spiders, ants and a couple of scorpions in my room. Yikes! I called management several times with no response. The bed was worn out and the maid service left much to be desired. In fact the last week I was there my classes started at noon so I left a polite note on my door to not disturb until 10:45 am. Well they not only did not disturb me they left my towels out side on the porch! This happened for 4 consecutive days. To top it all off my linen was only changed 3 times in the month I was there. If I could give them less than 1 star I would. Would not recommend this place AT ALL.
