Aromatics, cherries, and orange peel made everything absolutely great. The ice cubes even have the B & B logo on them. I paired my drink with an Acid Blondie cigar. Go inside their humidor and pick the cigar of your choice. Wow! What a great stop! Lots of leather couches to sit on and socialize with friends. A very large, full bar with lots of bourbon and wine options. Decorated beautifully and very, very clean. This place feels like it should be in a much larger city. Though it's called a shop, it seemed to me to be anything but. It's a cigar house, yep, a literal house with a porch, a front yard with seating and a view of a baseball field, a member lounge complete with a full kitchen, amazing back yard seating areas culminated with an incredible two-story deck. They carry a pretty great selection of cigars and accessories, local wines and chocolates, drinks, snacks, and Rudy's merch. I'd travel back to Fort Wayne just to hang out there. The owner is originally from Michigan. The staffer who graciously served as my guide shared with me that the shop folk take a cigar train trip twice a year. It's a homey place that looks almost…read morelike a fraternity house, with a big patio, Nirvana playing in the background (literally, All Apologies was playing from a speaker somewhere when I rolled up), and this chaotic energy that I can't place. I think some of that energy starts with the sign on the door that says that you need to be prepared to show that you're 21+ in order to enter. I entered, and no one asked me whether I was over 21. Alrighty then! I visited because I wanted a bottle of wine to take back to my hotel. I read that Rudy's has wine, and they do, but it's a small wall of wine with maybe a dozen different bottles. Two of the bottles are from Oliver Winery (too sweet for me, I already know), and maybe four other bottles also looked light and sweet. I ended up finding a decent-looking Pinot Noir that was a little more than I wanted to pay initially, but once I opened it, I could see where the extra couple of bucks went. It was a good bottle of red. But, if you're looking for a variety of wines, this is not the place to visit. And if you're looking for beers, the same applies. They do have some beers in a refrigerator, but they're sparse. Mostly, though, Rudy's is a cigar bar, and everything about it screams cigars once you step inside. I know very little about cigars beyond what my dad has imparted upon me; he has taken up smokin' stogies in the past couple of years. I think he would love this place, and if you're a cigar smoker, I think you might love it, too. It's just not my vibe, but I'm glad it exists for those who it vibes with.

A friend of mine worked there in the past and I could tell that he and the others who worked and owned the store took great care in its curation. The outdoor seating lounge and also the one inside offered plenty of seating. The indoor lounge is dark and cozy, just like I like the esthetic of a cigar lounge. The faux fire place was the icing on the cake. My favorite cigar brand was well represented throughout the establishment. The humidor is packed with all of the best brands. I found cigars here that aren't available in my area. The staff were friendly, accommodating and a lot of fun. The event seemed to be catered by a regular of the lounge. The food was great. The egg nog cocktail would've further drained my wallet had it still been stocked! Wish they offered deals with the drinks to entice us younger budget based boys, charging more than twenty for a simple bourbon mix is limiting the return of those who can really enjoy the live music volume. Two of my friends did sample cigars. Mentioned they were fantastic and paired well alongside an excellent port. It wasn't busy, which is what I wanted, and they have a full bar with reasonable prices. They also have a snap food menu in case you're hungry (which is a value add.) Their humidor is decent sized and I grabbed a Perdormo 12 which is a great cigar. I like the layout, seating and lighting. I've got no negatives to list; very clean space and if I was in that area of IN, I'd revisit for sure.
