Came here after seeing it listed as one the top ten curry houses in the UK by Trip Advisor, I think it was an article in the Independent. It's not far from my mum's in Kent so thought we'd make a visit.
It's very fresh, light and unlike your standard greasy curry. Some of the dishes are a little bit samey, a lamb and broccolli dish tasted identical to a chicken, tomato and broccolli dish however it tasted great. A monkfish curry was very very good. The starters of pakora and vege samosas were all home made and delightful.
standard cobra beers. massive winelist which seemed a bit out of place but a South African Pinotage at £17 was reasonable and decent.
it's a little rough around the edges in service and decor but everyone was really nice. folkestone has got it's self a decent little spot here. Top Ten? hard to say. read more
