We were greeted right away by the wonderful owner. This place is a dog HEAVEN! I love places that treat dogs like the royalty they are. The yard is spacious and mostly fenced in... it may be entirely fenced in when there isn't an event like the cruise night going on. Tons of places to sit. Great local beer selection. Friendly bartenders. This is a great place to stop just to relax in the shade with your best friend, or attend one of their awesome and often events. I'm already looking forward to the next one!

It honestly pains me to write this because I've really loved Penny's over the past six months…read more My husband and I started coming here in May 2025 because it was advertised as dog friendly and had great craft beer, something we both love and even brew ourselves. On our first visit, we learned about the late Penny, the dog the farm was built in memory of. The staff were kind, told us our dog was welcome to visit anytime, and we've been regulars ever since, usually stopping by once a week. Tonight, I arrived a few minutes before my husband and took our dog to the garden like we always do to pay our respects to Penny. After less than two minutes, a woman suddenly screamed at me to "get out immediately." I was shocked, since I'd never seen her before and thought she might be yelling at the nearby kids playing football. But it turned out she was yelling at me. I left right away and said, "I'm so sorry, I thought we were allowed in here. I've never been told otherwise." She shouted, "I'm the owner. Get your dog out of there." I said, "Ma'am, I'm complying, but your staff have always told me this was fine. You may want to clear that up with them." She replied, "I'll have a talk with them." I was really shaken up and waited for my husband to arrive. When we went inside, the owner asked to speak with me and said, "The only thing I'll apologize for is that the 'no dogs allowed' sign fell off. The woman I was with told me you sounded absolutely crazy and combative." My husband started recording because of how unprofessional she was being. I explained, "I think trying to talk across a field can make anyone sound upset. I just wanted to clarify that I've always been told dogs were allowed." She said again, "Well, you sounded absolutely crazy." I ended the conversation by saying, "We must have different communication styles. I'm going inside to enjoy the place I came to support tonight." Once inside, several other customers came up to me, telling me they'd had similar experiences with the owner's rude and combative behavior. To be clear, I completely understand if the owner doesn't want dogs in certain areas. That's her right. The issue is how this was handled. * The owner was unnecessarily aggressive and unprofessional. * There's no clear signage about where dogs are allowed. * The staff clearly haven't been trained consistently on this policy. Every other staff member I've met here has been wonderful, which makes this even more disappointing. I hope the owner takes this feedback seriously, because no customer deserves to be yelled at for following the same directions they've been given for months.

Keep Pearland Beautiful was onsite in the tennis courts' parking lot for their monthly drive up shredding event. Note the shredding is $5 for docs up to 20 pounds and like 30 cents extra for each additional pound. It's free for KPB members but you must be a member for at least 24 hrs prior to the shredding event. The Old Pearland Farmers Market is small but mighty with local and nearby vendors. I'd say there were maybe a couple dozen vendors there and the market was setup on the basketball courts. There was a vendor there from Sweeney TX selling some tasty nut brittles, just to give u an idea of where some of the nonlocal vendors travel in from. Their cinnamon pecan brittle was very tasty and I'm appreciative of the sample I received. The market was lively with a live band performing in the background while I was there on a chilly and windy Sunday morning. I was pleased to see there were plenty of other folks walking around with their doggies but there weren't so many folks with dogs that it was cramped and harder to maneuver around. The dogs there were all chill and well mannered. For it's small size, the market has a healthy presence of minority owned businesses. There was an Indian restaurant giving out samples and selling heat and serve meals that I'll definitely be hitting up in the future. This time around I purchased some coasters from Crafty with Wood and some sprouts from Bonafide gardens. I steered clear of Granny's tamales but lookout once I get all this holiday sugar off my hemoglobin! All the vendors with whom I interacted were warm and welcoming.
