Also, I am a gun enthusiast/owner and very knowledgeable on firearms and gun stores. I have also been to every gun store in the Harrisburg area many times. Guns Plus is one of the finest firearms businesses I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. You will not find nicer people to help you in your firearms endeavors. Now, keep in mind that one of the things I like most about this business is that they follow the rules and the law to the letter. With all of the federal and state restrictions on businesses like this, if they want to survive, this is what they have to do. The only downside to this is that it makes ignorant (of the law) customers unhappy. Folks, the ammo shortages are not the business owners fault! Take some time and actually talk to the people who work there. You will get a good understanding of what actually is taking place in the firearms and ammunition world. Also, they will do background checks on you. This is the law! I have been in there when it takes over six hours to get a background check done and this is not their fault. This is because of the extremely antiquated and ancient Pennsylvania State police background check system. Today I was in there to purchase a firearm and was approved in 15 minutes. Hint: They have a room there specifically dedicated to the Henry line of firearms. It is absolutely amazing! Trust me when I say that their prices are "below" the prices that you will find anywhere else. I like their business concept which is they would rather have many return customers than overcharging one time buyers. If you have any interest in firearms or ammunition, this is the place to go!

The staff is extremely knowledgeable and super patient. Troy set up my bow and I could not be happier! We made sure that the bow was set up and in time before taking my first shot. We shot the bow through paper twice and both of them were perfect bullet holes right off the bat. While Troy set it all up for me, JP made sure I didn't have any questions and carried conversation with me. The whole team made this experience absolutely wonderful. I am a big fan of shopping local and small. This happened to fit both of those criteria's. I will most definitely be back to visit! I drove about an hour and a half to them and don't regret it one bit. Sure you buy the product but you also get the knowledge and the support and you can't put a price on that. A one stop shop for all your D&D, Warhammer, Magic, and board game supplies. You can enter on the left side which is the retail store and if you go to the right by the cashiers they have a whole area set up for games with snacks and drinks. We picked up some D&D Supplies and my husband reminisced about his Magic days with the cashier. Both men at the registers were very nice and asked what games we were into and made recommendations on other mech we might like. Their selection is pretty vast and seems on par price wise with other stores in the area and online. They also had an area you could play test games and we saw people and families of all ages enjoying shopping and testing the games on display. The new store on Wesley Drive is HUGE. It might be a little hard to find but its located on the right corner of the plaza with the Peppermill restaurant, to the side/back of McDonalds. Parking can get a bit nutty and limited on weekends so just keep that in mind.

The staff are fine, but my main issue this place comes more from the regular customers and lack of regulations or expectations around behavior in the store. I've been to several prereleases here and I dont think I'll be back after multiple times men (sometimes with their kids present) Kept making sexist or straight up comments on my body or being female in a gamimg space. There is also a HEAVY issue with body odor here. This is not entirely the staffs fault, but I couldnt find staff members available to talk with about this issue, and was waved away when I did find one due to them being overwhelmed. Increasing staff numbers especially during high demand events would fix this. This is a great store, but I fear it is suffering from success in the numbers.

Brian McKay on their team is a wiz and has a wealth of product knowledge to share. Their prices are also very reasonable and fair. I always buy from their New Cumberland, but their website has a nice selection if you would prefer to purchase online. Firearm sales are limited to military, LEO, and public safety. I'm a fan of Safariland and 511 Tactical equipment and Atlantic Tactical has a nice selection. If you're searching for a great staff, large product selection, and reasonable prices, Atlantic Tactical is a great destination!
