I do not recommend this law firm for your trust needs. I attended a seminar at my church, which they also use for their financial affairs and thought, if my pastor trusts them wholeheartedly, why wouldn't I right?! I can't say my experience is as positive as theirs.
After the seminar, we were able to set up an appointment to meet with the attorney. He seemed very nice and knowledgeable so we decided to hire him prepare a trust for our family. A few weeks later, I called his assistant to clarify a few remaining questions about the trust process and set up an appointment, but I never received a call. After a couple of attempts, I decided to go elsewhere because this was incredibly frustrating and unprofessional.
Unfortunately, the new attorney made many mistakes leading up to finalizing the trust, we felt it safer to terminate our contract and search for another attorney to prepare a proper trust. After several phone calls, license verification checks through the bar association, I decided to give Copenbarger & Copenbarger another chance.
I called their office, explained my current situation to assistants. First with Trish, and then Sherry. Later that day, I get a call from Sherry profusely apologizing about our family slipping through the cracks. She stated several people were no longer working there and that they had moved office, and several other excuses. She told me to give her a call when we were settled with the other attorney and that everything will be taken care of properly this time.
Three weeks later, we were able to obtain all of our paperwork from the former attorney, so I called to speak to Sherry, but Trish answered and offered to assist me instead. I explained the whole story again and then forwarded me to Sherry's voicemail anyway. I guess she couldn't help me, but stated if I had any issues, for me to call her back directly, and she would assist me further. I left Sherry two voicemails and two weeks have passed without a return call. I then called Trish, and I also left her a voicemail indicating that Sherry isn't returning my calls. It's been over 4 weeks and I still haven't received a phone call from either one of them. I'm starting to see a pattern and it doesn't look like it has anything to do with any former employees and more to do with the current ones. They are the liaison of getting you to an attorney, if they aren't returning your phone calls, how else would you get in contact with an attorney. The efforts in trying to do business with this firm has been a complete waste of my time. It shouldn't be this difficult and I'm finally done trying. read more
