A couple months ago, my boyfriend and I were in town from NYC, visiting family, and were driving on the parkway when we hit an unavoidable piece of metal debris that essentially shredded the undercarriage of our 2016 Corolla from front to back. The car was completely out of commission. We needed to be towed, looked up a couple AAA-approved garages nearby, others said it would take days to fit us in, but Fixed Right immediately said bring it in, we got you. By the very next morning, Fixed Right was working lock step with our insurance company to determine the scope of damage (over $8k - eek!) and started repairs right away. The damage was extensive but they finished it in about a week. I was beyond impressed. We could not have asked for a smoother, more efficient process to get our car back in action after such a jarring experience. The Corolla has been driving since like nothing ever happened - in fact, we're about to make the 6 hour drive back to Pittsburgh for Thanksgiving and could not be more thankful and appreciative for Fixed Right Automotive! If we lived local, they would be our go-to mechanic without question, we give them our highest recommendation!!

I made an appointment elsewhere and forgot about it due to work, ended up calling The Wrench Lab and they were able to get me in the next morning right at open! I know how packed a schedule can be so I'm grateful they were able to work with me and get me on the way. Not to mention, most places will try to upsell you on a whole bunch and we all know that feeling. This place did not, I was given some helpful tips on helping to save money with basic car maintenance which is really nice. To simplify the whole experience: *kind workers/ owner *genuine care for the customer *didn't feel like a corporate shop *in and out within reasonable time *good pricing *10/10 experience with some cool guys! Jaydon was a down to earth tech and I appreciated his input along with Joseph the owner.

They went in and assessed not only the problem I brought it in for, but pointed out everything with the car. And because of the age of the car... anything that was in question, they brought in additional eyes that are familiar with older cars. The team they have over there is second to none. Joe went out of his way to make sure my son had heat in the Tacoma before he leaves for school. The experience at the Wrench Lab is not like taking your vehicle into a shop, but having family take care of you. This is the best shop in the Pittsburgh area. I'd recommend that if you have any issues that you'd see them first!

On March 26, 2024 I had my car towed to McCune Auto Repair. I had already had the codes read and provided that information to Tim so we had an idea of what the problem was. Here is how it progressed from there: On April 3, I called and asked about my car. Was told there was a death in the family and he didn't get to it yet. Totally understandable so that wasn't a problem. On April 10, I texted asking for an update to see if he knew what was wrong yet or to get a quote on what it will cost. No response. On April 17, I texted explaining that I really needed an update to see if it was going to be much longer as I may have to rent a car. Up to this point I was getting rides and borrowing my husband's car to get to work. This was becoming problematic and an inconvenience to the friends providing taxi service. Tim responded back to me immediately with "Sure Bev, I'll get to it asap." I let another week go buy and took a week vacation from work hoping he would finish my car. My husband stopped up to see if he was finished but the shop was closed in the middle of the day. My car was still in the parking lot and not worked on. On April 28, we had finally had enough of no contact. We went to the shop to see what was going on. Again, the shop was locked and no one was around at around 3pm. My husband was able to get the car started and we limped it to another garage. The car required new injectors and a fuel pump. Parts were under $400 and I had my car back in 4 days. I am not sure what is going on with Tim. As I said Tim is a very good mechanic and his work is exemplary, but I cannot recommend his shop anymore. The lack of communication and disregard for my time is extremely disappointing.

The car was completed with care and the work was done very quickly (about a day and a half because the parts had to be ordered.) Tim was more than helpful, showed me the damage and explained the costs associated. I read a review from several years ago saying that he was overcharged and really don't know where this came from. There were a few things that had to be replaced that hadn't failed yet but made more sense to change now than to pay again for labor to tear the suspension down (ball joints.) but everything was handled fairly and expeditiously. I am grateful for everything and will now be taking my car to McCune's for service. Thank you Tim.
