The only reason one star rather than zero is they won't let you leave zero stars. Do NOT use this insurance agency under any circumstance. The lady that sits in the front office the owner lied to me to my face when I came back two days later and asked her she cussed me out and threatened to hit me with a stick came after me and ran me out of the office. This is 2024 she's so barbaric . She sits on her butt with hand out collecting money but when asked to do more she cusses at you and throws you out the building. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE! The WORST & most unprofessional behavior I have ever experienced! The main agent Bernice (sp?) was extremely rude and condescending after she saw I cancelled my policy for a different company. She wasn't understanding or kind about it. I didn't even request to speak to her when I called to cancel, she heard I was canceling and then I was transferred to her. She was incredibly rude and hung up on me TWICE! She had a nasty attitude & would not answer my question as to why my insurance spiked almost $40/mo without explanation! Absolute worst insurance company to go through. She would not fix incorrect information on my documentation and then kept sending my mail to the wrong address, but saying it was all my fault for not getting it. She was rude every time I talked to her and even threatened to cancel my policy when I asked her multiple times to fix the information on the documents I had to sign. Today Bernitha Copeland said that progressive finally approved my policy. She said she would charge my account. when I called back to ask if I was now covered or not, she said that I should just look for another insurance provider. She said I wrote her a nasty letter and was calling her too much during the week. I asked her if she charged my account yet, she told me she was with a client, I said I need to know, she said, she's busy, I asked again and she said, "your account has not been charged" I then proceeded to my Progressive online quote I got from Progessive on my own last week while I was without insurance for a week. My application was approved and I made my first payment today. I am reporting this to the BBB This is the "nasty" letter Bernitha said I wrote her: Bernitha, I had my credit card ready to renew my policy last saturday my policy ended monday now it's friday I need to get this progressive policy active today I don't understand what is taking so long I need you to understand my perspective here. I realize you quoted me weeks ago, but that is not the point here. I think Shelly or you should have told me saturday, or before saturday, concerning any info you needed from me to get the renewal active. This was not told to me until after my policy ended monday. i feel someone there dropped the ball in helping me with this renewal process. I assumed you guys would have had all this info already since I was a policy holder at the time, or have asked me this on saturday before taking my credit card info. You guys never returned my call like I was told. I feel that inadequate help last saturday negatively effected my successful renewal as I tried to do. No one told me we needed to get the renewal process started early and it would take time to do. I assumed you guys had everything you needed from me and this would be a quick switch of policy. Shelly even took my credit card number and then checking account number for my payment saturday before her realizing that it was not that simple. If she didn't know that it would not go thru, how was I supposed to know anything. That's all I'm saying here. This is your business, you do this every day. I just pay my bill once a month and forget about it. I dont want to be made out as the bad guy here, no one told me this process would take so long. When asked by you monday the info you needed, i got it to you within the hour, scanned and emailed. Shelly should have asked me for all this info Saturday and she should have called me back like she said she would. when no one called me back, I got nervous cause I knew you closed at 2, so I called at 2:05 and no answer.
